Thanks for visiting my country. If you went to Panamá back in the 80's and 90's you would've thought you were in Jamaica. We used to listen to dancehall from morning to night. Everywhere Reggae was played and we had many Spanish Reggae singers who's ancestors were from Jamaica and Barbados due to the history of the Panama Canal... aww the good old days!! 🙏🏽🔥🇵🇦🇯🇲
If you are a reader we know Jamaicans\Caribbean worked on the canal. Stayed there after the project was done. Jamaicans also living in Costo Rico. There were other canals built before Panama Canal. Erie Canal, Suez Canal etc.
Afro caribbean hands dig the Canal, people from Barbados, Jamaica, Martinique.

I stayed at the Bahia on the oceanfront. I didn’t like the prices and presentation of your last meal. I could tell everyone wouldn’t enjoy. Wished that meal would’ve been better for you all. Great video loved it. But, there was a key point of interest you guys missed, Yes, before visiting the Panama canal, you should have visited The Black History Museum and you would have made a personal connection with the people or laborers of the Panama canal, Yes, the laborers the people who you mentioned saying thousand of people died, they were Caribbean descendant. Just thought I will add this key point for those of Caribbean descent mainly Barbados Jamaica Trinidad and the other islands of the Caribbean that seek to learn part of there history. Blessings. 🙏🏾🤔

Thanks for showing part 2, your presentation was good. However, you forgot to mention the great contribution Jamaican workers( as well as other Caribbean nations) in the building of this wonder of the world, and that descendants of those workers are apart of the cultural fabric of Panama.
Yes in some places in Panama, the locals speak English in a very Jamaican accent. I actually thought I bucked up on fellow Jamaicans on my travels but they stated they were 100% Panamanian (of Jamaican descent).

My great grand father and his friends worked in the Panama canal construction, his name etched in Bronze. You have vacationed where I live. I see the canal everyday, have drive over the bridge of the Americas go home at Panama Pacifico, all the places I've been. Panama Viejo was sacked and pillaged by Pirate Morgan, the Jamaican. So the construction of Casco Viejo. They are allowed to protest everywhere, even have police guard fro them, every little thing they protest, they want come Jamaica

hey. resort towns good for vacationing here are ocho rios, montego bay, port antonio, negril, kingston and along the south coast. i love negril + port antonio. ocho rios + mobay are most popular

The hunger strike is very valid. The Panamanian government has come under fire for building the cosmopolitan tourist areas while neglecting the needs of the locals. The housing crisis is very valid there. Its sad to see they've gone as far as to place themselves on hunger strikes.
Broke my heart when I realized it was an actual hunger strike. Thanks for sharing more insight on it
