Yes, definitely thanks for the settings! It's just "mentally comfortable" to know what speed was used with pics like this running car :) Also comparing those to what I would use etc.
Great video! It‘s 2024 and i‘ve ordered this lens for my Canon R instead of the RF version, because of your video and because i use a lot of old Canon lenses. Cheers from Germany ❤️
Great video! What do you think about using the 50mm 1.8 on your EOS R? I mean, Is it adequate in terms of resolution and sharpness for the 30 megapixels?
Whilst the RF 1.2/50 is my benchmark lens, it’s also a heavy beast to hand hold for the hours needed by street photography. Because of depth of field issues, I’m often not wider than F1.6 and often am at F2.8.
That’s an interesting point to consider! I’m not too bothered about the weight so much as I used to own a Sigma 85mm that was the same weight if not a little heavier than the RF. thanks for watching 😊
Scooter . but it's not important. You focus on the moment and the colors and you keep that, because it makes you happy. I was quite unimpressed with the EOS R, so I've stuck with my EOS 5D Mk3 and I'm only now upgrading it to a EOS R5C, as I'm mostly video centric.
This is my current setup!! With the EF. I had the RF but sadly it took a fall within my first month of owning it and it messed something up internally.
Good video I like it. I do have this lenes . I use 16.9 so I can have full screen when I see my photos on my tv 📺. Iam going to try your way I never use f 1.8 but I'll try it . thanks
Of the few lenses I have, I haven't yet got a nifty 50. Its on my list!, just never got around to getting it. Congrats on your 1k Subs! (I am one of them) love your work btw. top draw.
I definitely had fun using it, I’m curious about the RF 1.8 version, it’s so small and such a lightweight setup! Thank you so much for the support, it means a lot 😊
@@deryncorbett Awesome video though, you explained everything really well and the shots are so good! I know virtually nothing about photography so it's nice to hear someone explain what's going on as they're doing it!
The RF 50mm f1.2 must be a beast of a lens but living in Spain I am not sure if I'd be able to use it at 1.2 unless I shoot at night or with a really dark nd filter 😅 Btw, you got cool photos today in your video! 👌👌

Oh no! Did you notice much of a difference in quality between the EF and RF?
Did you try panning shots using the mechanical shutter?😁
