I've seen the Korean version of this. Has the same title. Storyline is similar, except the girl in the Korean version is a special effects artist and she was sent the robot to save it from a crazy rich lady that breaks them.

Her LI actually is not the robot boyfriend but someone at her office. Play by the same actor as Nanba Minami in Hana Kimi the original (Ikemen Paradise). I think his name is Hiro.
