Here in canada they be called maple bugs, come from maple trees, that's why no longer plant maple trees in the city, always come out in spring and enjoy the son, they don't cause any issues health wise, just a pain of being every where if not controlled(sprayed)
Disgusting..who eats a piece of food that is bug shaped off their shirt ? I wonder if she still accidentally eats bugs off her shirt thinking it’s food.
PPE man! 😭 i love watching your videos but every time i see you not wearing your PPE or making applications that expose you greatly to these pesticides just make me think of the long term consequences that you can experience in your health!. When that pressure on your back pack bursted and you weren’t wearing your safety glasses it just made my jaw drop. I really hope it was just water in there or I Atleast hope you changed into your spare uniform as it can get into your bloodstream through your skin. Please be safe man! 🙏🏽
Nice choice on the Bifen I/T. I just dealt with a boxelder bug infestation at a house I recently treated. I would recommend you getting a Flowzone. It won’t spray you in the face.
We get those really bad in the spring and fall (Minnesota). So bad it looks like the side of the house and ground are moving. They’re usually pretty easy to get rid of. But, sometimes during the colder months their metabolism slows down and they don’t take the insecticide well. I like to go with a wetable powder to leave a heavy residual. I personally think they’re kind of ugly, we get Japanese beetles a lot up here…I feel bad about treating those because they’re so beautiful.
Japanese Beetles are definitely pretty too! I love the metallic shine. But yes the winter they are basically motionless! I didn't know they were up in Minnesota but makes sense
What happened to respecting your elders? Their probably just having tea. Me: "Aunt Jemima, what is it?" Aunt: "There's a man, by the name of Dan, soakin' us while were trying to enjoy our tea!" Me: "It's DAN, THE BUG MAN!" Aunt: *Screaming bloody-murder. Important Note: There's no job to big or small, Dan does it all. From your wall to your stall, to your hall and your crawl, Dan's got the gall. PLEASE MAKE THIS YOUR NEW SLOGAN!!! I can see it now. suspend polyzone!! need a flowzone typhoon 3 backpack...bifen is ok, just really cheap lol...dope video and visuals....I deal with Box elders on the job a lot, they no biggie just annoying
They not only _don't bite,_ they *can't* bite. Boxelder bugs are true bugs, not beetles. This means they do not have mandibles for chewing and biting, but instead have sucking mouth parts -- they just sort of slurp up food (boxelder sap and seed juices). They also do not sting.
That`s a lot of food! (according to the loons who want us gobbling bug burgers) I fried some cicadas in bacon grease back in 2015 and sprinkled them with Cajun seasoning. Tasted like cracklins.
_Eye_ protection? What about a respirator? Hopefully he has a good life insurance policy and his adjusters never find these videos. Because in 20 years, when he looks like it's been 50... he's going need that coverage.
Dan how’s the reliability on your Ford F150? We use Chevys and they’re pretty reliable 2013 with 295k miles, 2014 with 192k miles 2018 with 120k Worst Chevy was a 2011 Colorado (rebadged Isuzu) but we wouldn’t buy 2019+ cuz GM seems to get worse every generation
Prettiest bugs but definitely some of the most destructive ones in the wrong areas..... but if you're going to put up in someone's house then you need to pay up... the part of a mortgage and make sure you keep up with the maintenance including any pests ect 😂😂 at least half and that includes tax on land as well and on the HMO and like your landlord should know know that it's supposed to be great for the landlord who has multiple residents in their home😂😂

My friend once told me when she was younger she thought there was a piece of food in her shirt, but it was a boxelder bug, and she bit it

Yes, mask up, wear goggles! Keep safe. You don't want to shorten your life. :/
I love these videos, I learn sooo much ✌
Awesome, thank you! :))

I live in arizona and we use flowzone backpacks. And are using bifen it right now. Let me say I love the flowzone backpacks over the power rigs
Yes backpack sprayers every day!
@DanTheBugMan I used to live in NC. In haw river. Let me tell you never delt with scorpions like Arizona scorpions 🦂
@@rayvettevlogsmy4sons > Flowzone and I’ve had both
I put Dawn dish soap with water in a squirt bottle. It works
These little dudes out here representin' Sparta.

We have the worst attack this year in Central Arizona…We have 3 B E Trees but they are part of our privacy and really do want to cut them down

This was such a good video. Impressive on how you handle it.
Soap laundry detergent and water via a pressure sprayer works ok so far.
That’s a lot of box elder bugs for sure. Great job.
Thank you!! Yes so many!!
curious on your thoughts on flowzone sprayers - I would love to see more " review" style videos. Maybe a full " review" of the ProShield?
Good idea 😎 I’ll add that to my list
I thought i had em bad with the box bugs, but man! Im sticking with my cheap spray bottle that has lil bit of dish soap y water.
PPE is your best friend! Cheers from a fellow PCT 🤘🏽🤘🏽
What in the world how much boxelder bugs are there holy smokes that’s alot
What is a good product to get rid of slugs and snails around the house(outside)
That happened to me once. I just left them alone and they went away. Didn't know what they were at that time. lol
Yes they will go away eventually with the spring warmth!
love ur channel ❤
I have a question when you spary this do you need to wear a mask with filters
They dont bite, they dont sting....they dont do a thing! 😂
Kinda like me!! hahaha
@@DanTheBugMan 😂 Nice.
But they’re annoying, I’ve tried spraying it down with water, didn’t work, I tried vacuuming in the house and they still pop up

They were just as bad on my chain link fence last year. From a distance my fence looked rusty from the amount of them with their red stripes.
Wow I bet that was a sight!!! I love finding swarms like this
What is a box elder bug tree?
I have boxelder bugs in my car. Apparently, i park near a boxelder tree
What are they
There is no boxelder tree anywhere nesr my home, but they are all o er my property.

Not at this time of year. The trees are in winter mode and hold no interest for the bugs.
They live everywhere but feed on the trees! They are mostly found in the eastern USA
“just another day in pest control” I tell myself this everyday 😂😂
Irl Helldivers 2
They remind me of roaches a little bit. Like the roaches are their cousins.
U need a go pro mydude
no mask while spraying? you need a strapon camera like towtrucker.
No one wears mask while spraying tbh
If you do you’re a nerd
