Sorry Mcklintock, that listing goes to Skid Row! I Remember you, or Guns n Roses, Sweet Child of Mine! The Lyrical content in this song is horribly lacking in talent, not to mention the lack of instrumental talent!!

80's song at heart, but came out in 90's. What sucks is i never heard this before. I actually stumbled on this and the group. Been jamming it several times a day for weeks.
I danced to this at my Prom, I thought then that Miljenko had an awesome voice and still do. Almost 30 years and I still keep this song on regular rotation on my playlists.
This was one of, if not the last of the hair metal songs. 1991 - Nirvana Alice in chains and Soundgarden were just releasing the albums that would forever drive a stake through the heart of this kind of music. At the time I was glad, now that there's been nothing like this for 30 years, I'm nostalgic for hair metal
The only thing I don't like about the covers on this song is the covers are getting more reactions than this original. .. kinda takes away from the original band. Steelheart isn't getting enough credit.
Brother Jamel, thanks for covering this wonderful piece from the timeless Steelheart vault. When I was deployed on my first deployment in active duty military service this song came out and hit #1 on the charts. My late fiancee loved Steelheart, and this was our song. Six months into my deployment she and my unborn daughter was murdered, and my superiors would not allow me leave stating I was mission essential. I love the admiration and praise of your reaction videos to timeless songs; this is one of them. Thank-you for sharing your heartfelt thoughts to a masterpiece of music and performance. Hey Jamel the lead singer of Steelheart actually started with a Christian rock band called Rage of Angels back in the 80's. They only made one album( that I happen to own), but it's amazing as well. Just thought I'd throw that little tidbit of information at you. Blessings brother
Hi Charles. I was going to purchase the Rage of Angels CD from Discogs. However they show a different lead singer who’s name is Dan Mariano, Not Miljenko Matijevic (Michael Matijevic / Mikey Steel). Do you know if he changed his name? Miljenko has such a unique voice, I would love to hear him sing Christian Music. I’m going to do some more research too, as I’m curious now. Please let me know. Thank you.
Their shows in the Connecticut rock clubs, back in the day when there WERE rock clubs, were a sight to see. People would bet if he could hit those notes live. He did and lotsa' cash changed hands.lol
I saw them and REO Speedwagon in concert during a block party sponsored by Budweiser back in 1991. It was in San Antonio, and is held every year. I was stationed at FT. Sam Houston at the time, and I met my brother at the concert who was stationed 90 miles west in Del Rio, Texas. It was a good time.
Back in the 70”s if you can see during the disco era, open chest button down shirt was the fashion. This was a carry over during the 80s. Almost made it through the 90s too
The singer for steelheart done the songs in the movie rockstar with mark wahlberg. Great soundtrack. I love his voice and he sounds like this live to this day

This was me and my high school sweethearts song. We graduated in 2012. We reconnected this year. She had three kids and a divorce. I had been single enjoying myself the whole time. Now I have three beautiful step daughters and the love of my life back.
Many said that this band is just a one hit wonder because they are late in the 80's glam rock/hair band game (1989) but the band Firehouse in similar genre was also formed in the same year and the got much success.
After all these years, I will still listen to this if it’s on the radio. If you want to hear a great hair band high pitched song, it’s TNT Forever Shine On. Pretty Please
Some assistance there with a hair-blowing fan in his face all the time... lots of fun during this time with power ballads like this all over the place. Sad to see all the megadecible singers fade away. I cannot think of an equivalent today that hasn't gone through a reality show already... prove me wrong?
Also,if you're looking for high notes from this guy, check out "Sheila" from this same band...a short vocal "duel" with the lead guitar at the end of the song will give all the high notes you need!
No doubt, in the Top 5 Rock Ballads of all time! Vocal perfection from the late 80's. Wish I could grow my long azz mullet back, put in my gold stud earring and travel back to the best days of my life!! 🤘🤘

Queensryche “Take hold of the flame” live in tokyo 1984. The singer pulls this song off after a full set list. You gotta gotta see it! I’m gonna watch it again now😄
Be prepared to be amazed. If you really want to hear his pipes watch the movie Rockstar. He does all the vocals for Mark Wahlberg's character in that film. Tremendous.
Topic being Steelheart and power ballads there's one of the second album that actually blows these two away. "Mama don't you cry". It's from a different dimension, and until I Heard that album (and that song) I thought their first album would be impossible to beat, as well as the two ballads on it.
