My primary issue with this as a former gauss main is your thermal sunder build. Thermal sunder nuking cares WAY more about the number of casts than ability strength. Thermal sunder nuking scales extremely well into steel path and will kill level 9k enemies with even a 10% strength build.
@@TaakeKraake This is correct. TS builds are very good which I call out multiple times in this video but I don't think most people want to play him that way so showing TS as a good low level farm build is what I opted for since that is more useful to newer players

I used to go crazy duration but turns out it makes it take longer to charge your battery passively and charging your red line to 100% so I just opted for strength mainly with eclipse and thermal sunder augment swapping mach rush and it's amazing
It is worth noting that A higher duration takes longer the get there but would also maintain 100% for longer. Gauss' battery takes 33% of the duration of redline to fully charge, Brozime's build with 96.3s would take 32.1s to fully charge the battery resulting in 64.2s of sustained 100% battery give or take some animation time and human input.
Mach rush charges a fixed amount leading to the slower passive charge being a moot point when it comes to charging the battery. Duration also scales the actual strength of the redline buffs, so it's not just qol, but also more power. All of this becomes a issue ofc, if you really decide to helminth off mach rush (which is basically his bread and butter not just for mobility, but also charging your battery).
what i always do is to do 2 quick mach rush tap if the battery is at redline, so if you activate redline (4) you just need 2 stack of mach rush what i do is aim glide them tap 1 for 2 times, then stay mid air as much as i can then just shoot everything, once the battery is starting to lose but still above redline, 1 mach rush (or 2 MR if its at redline) to make the battery stay above redline, rinse and repeat and once it reaches 100% itll stay as much as it can unless a nullfier bump into you lol i find it having gauss be actively played with high mobility suits him than me spamming thermal sunder lol, tho its my take for gauss, i dont like TS
ADS being blocked by shoulder pieces has been an issue for a lot of frames, namely grendel and Qorvex. They really ought to do something to alleviate that
they should realign thirdperson aim to be more wide to make room for attacents, or let us edit it with alongside fov slider so we can have aim view where the character is only at the corner of the screen
The shoulder armor blocking your view is yet another reason why DE needs to completely revamp the over-the-shoulder aiming system. We need to be able to adjust where the camera sits so it can be a bit above, a bit below, or a bit further out if we need/want
my primary use for gauss is putting his mach rush augment (mach crash) on him, smashing my face into walls and mag dumping into the clumps of enemies that get succ'd into the wall i just smashed. i think i just like smashing my face into walls in general with gauss, it feels amazing to hear that bonk and suddenly everyone in the room is in a ball and ready to die.

Just so that everyone doesnt forget, your armor also scales off of strength so be sure to keep in mind that the lower than 100% strength is lower strength of your shield. You will always have the energy to use it, you cannot be staggered, and I have actually had the mod come in incredibly useful. But if you want to put literally max duration on Gauss, I am actually very tempted to try that just to see what happens.
Agreed, energy regen on gauss is a waste (quick thinking + plus energy from getting hit = ascension to godhood). I mained gauss for a few months a long time ago but I got bored of him and fed em to the wall. Getting back into him is sooo good.
I like to have a backup energy source just for peace of mind, because his 2 ONLY gives energy when absorbing ips, cold, heat, or blast damage. So it works most of the time... but i just feel more comfortable knowing that, when i go up against enemies that deal radiation/magnetic/electric/toxin damage, i'll at least still have an energy source to make up for the loss of damage reduction.

If your going to run negative range, my personal recommendation is to use energized munitions in place of his 3. That way you can use a kuva zarr as if the ammo nerf never happened.
Corrosive projection on a thermal sunder gauss is redundant since his 100% redline already full strips. I'd go with either brief respite or sprint boost so that the mod slot doesn't become wasted after a certain point
@@Frostman1255 Gauss' whole kit revolves around redlining all the time. Low duration makes your battery charge faster and his heat TS scales with itself (meaning that every cast doubles the stacks applied to enemies). Even a low power strength and low duration Gauss is a nuke that shreds steel path and eso
That TS build doesn't care if you're in redline or not it clears all normal content just by casting TS. Builds for high level Redline + TS I don't think are what people want when playing Gauss but they are good.
Have you ever considered using subsuming thermal sunder for firewalker? It gives him status immunity, increased speed, and has the exact same duration as Gauss other abilities. It also looks awesome leaving a trail of fire while running
Personally I like Energized Munitions, I get Roar may be more damage but Munitions lets a bigger varity of guns take full advantage of the Gauss Supercharge.
My gauss have 322% duration, with a little more credit i can make it into 331%. I usually play with energized munitions replacing thermal sunder and bring acceltra prime and akarius prime
they really gotta add an option to camera to edit camera position while ADS for warframes to let players bypass shoulder armor issues on a case-by-case basis
That I need to change 2 things from my last build, that's what I like. Jokes aside, nice video Brozime, always giving new ways of using frames, not a crazy gauss user, but to have all frames build, I won't complain.
i like to go about 240% duration and 169% (nice) range, leaving strength negative. this gets you around 200% fire rate boost which is super nice for heavy-hitters that you don't otherwise get to use (i like to use hammers here). rolling guard or adaptation and fill the rest to your liking. i'd also rather run energized munitions on weapons platform gauss as it scales nicely with duration and fire rate boosts and thus redline. nice video! thanks.
I run something similar only i dont recommend negative strength base strength is needed to get the 100% dmg resistance to ips,and certainly elements i use a 2 from the top overextended and some strength shards which puts me too 100% strength again but now i have around 240% range and 220% duration with molt efficiency, going ham on duration isn't super ideal either because it scales inversely with your meter charge rate so the more duration the slower your meter charges to 100%,also a recommendation would be fast deflection instead of adaptation, kinetic plating already makes you immune/highly resistant to most things so using fast deflection plus gausses passive makes your shield recharge after like .6 seconds which is shorter then your shield gate plus kinetic plating stunning anyone who shoots you and the cc and nuking of thermal sunder makes you extremely hard to put down especially if you have aegis, thermal sunder is also a aoe armor strip and extremely reliable with corrosive projection so you only need your base battery plus 2% of redline for a full strip, gauss just that guy
This is nearly identical to the build i already run, which is just all duration and Firewalker over the 3 due to 34% range, don't ask why that subsume i just find it fun
never got the point of using HM and armor strip together, slash ignores your armor, and when mobs are stripped they just die by a any sneeze from your weapon with good build (and with good build on your weapon enemies will die way before you get 14 corrosion stacks, better use 1 tau emerald shard and corrosive aura to leave 1-2% armor and kee[p your corrosive +75% bonus dmg against it)
If you think about it, gauss is just a worse revenant. Rev has true invincibility with no duration, a go-too-fast-to-control skill in reave, an AOE but revenant's switches to the elem they're weak to, and as a bonus rev has a CC that self-propagates. Then there's Volt, aka: "if gauss was a team player", invincible barrier friends can use, speed for all, refill shields with 4+aug, swap 1 for nourish to buff everyone's energy restore and damage on top of your shields being a damage buff.
i think ill slot out nira hatred for transient fortitude for some strength boost since i would like redline to hit a tiny bit harder with mach rush, (mainly i dont wanna have to forma again since i already put that V polarity and honestly gauss is for my haha i go fast needs)
So the recipe for full armor strip corrosive is 2x green shards? Are tauforged greens a waste then because 1x still doesn't full strip and 2x doesn't do anything extra?
Yea the Tau greens are useless sadly unless you really want to put 2 tau green and 2 regular on a frame so they can strip basically only acolytes and angels additionally
@LordBummingtonThe3rd by default acolytes and angel's have cap on corrosive stacks to 4, with 2 Tau and 2 normal you increase it to 14 which let's you full strip enemy. It's same with normal enemies where with 2 normal eme shards you can strip armor off of them.
It should, most large shoulder obstructions aren't an issue if you swap to the other side. I had the same problem with Qorvex and the Mulciber shoulders recently.
Relatively new and I’m having energy problems with all frames but especially gauss any tips for how to keep my energy up since I don’t have a lot and I don’t have the helminth system, energy siphon or energy nexus. Also my kinetic plating and redline only have like 12-15 second duration any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
It isn’t “straight up just better” they rate entirely different paths to the same place. They give energy in totally different ways also energy nexus is far better
Still no lol, it's just way better. Any person who equipped both mod at any point in time realise which one is the best. But if you like waiting for energy and die because you couldn't cast an ability instead of not having this issue then go for it. Play what you find fun I guess it doesn't mean it's good tho.
Yet another Brozime banger. The delivery of the sjoulderplate had me howling. Did not notice at all at first. I love speed and I love Gauss. TS does not really resonate with me well so I'm grateful you took another approach than almost every other Warframe creator. As a side note then Rolling Guard is fantastic for dealing with toxin in high levels, but personally I hate it so that's that 😂. Cheers for the build and great explations instead of saying 'he can do anything' but not elaborate
Thats backwards. Slash is only meta because it can get past armor. If you can remove armor, most of everything else is better, especially heat. You could say that „getting past armor“ is meta, and you can either do that with slash/viral, corrosive/heat, or armor strip.
@@mayhemivory5730 Backing up this response as well. In starting to mid steel path, armour strip is far more effective than slash. Slash's big value jump is when you start to go past level 4000 which I would argue not even 95% of the community does cos you get diminishing returns and is more just for the fun of it. So to sumarise, slash is great, but if you want to see millions of damage on your screen, you will go armour strip.
Ok, i am missing something. Why all of the duration. Obviously it means you don't need to cast buffs as often, but if that was all it was, this seems like overkill. Does duration buff something else on Gauss?
We dump everything into duration since his abilities scale, or get stronger, off of longer durations. Because it technically takes longer to fill his metre with more duration, the buff caps get waaaaay higher. At 321% duration, I think, you get a 200% boost to fire rate. At 396% duration, you get some more funny numbers
That's not how corrosive works, at one proc it will reduce armor by 26%, then another 6% for each subsequent stack. It was capped at 10 stacks a while back, limiting the armor strip to 80%, but with the green archon shards, each one can raise the cap by two, so having two allows you to attain an extra 24% armor strip, allowing you to strip 100% of an enemies armor. There isn't really a point to using green tau-forged shards if you want 100%, since the tau-forged only raises the stack cap by three, meaning you would still need to use two shards to reach 100% strip, though in certain cases where you might want an enemy to retain their armor, using one tau-forged will allow you to lower it to the lowest possible value without fully stripping it. As for armor stripping Archons and liches, Archons are immune to all status effects, and Liches gain status resistances and immunities as they level up, so some may be affected by corrosive and others may not. Alternatively, Caustic Strike strike from the Unairu focus school can fully strip any Lich or Sister's armor, though Archons are still immune.
Just thinking on that melee if you could get the electric mod to higher value than the viral I would do more damage, viral is only going to stack to 10 so electric should be higher. haven't tried so maybe its not possible.
I'm doubtful running Molt Efficiency on Gauss even with adaptation and Kinetic Plating active with 100% redline. Unless you have a decent way of keeping up shields then that 36% duration is great.
@@Brozime That's fair, but as far as I know, Kinetic plating does not technically keep you immune to damage as its just physical damage, Heat, Cold, and Blast damage. Granted, that's quite the majority of damage types that exist in the game. Semantics I know but in essence you are pretty much tanking well with it. Also, I'm not sure about this but I do notice that when you're Kinetic Plating or Redline is active, your energy is drained per hit or when you're on a melee setup too swinging.
roar is better in terms of damage than nourish and its consistent eclipse is better than all of the 2, more damage but ITS NOT CONSISTENT you need good lighting lol nourish is good for energy and viral procs just think this way if you want to have roar you wont need to use bane/faction mods which is 1 mod actually while nourish is viral, you need 2 mods to make viral so saving that 2 mods is a goto i put nourish in my gauss coz i want to cut that 2 mods for viral plus roar can be overkill sometimes its scale late game like lvl 1k enemies. the question is how often do you dealt with lvl 1000 enemies? if you're just doing base steel path or a quick mission you don't really need roar because they will die anyways
There is a mission for all the corrupted mods which show as alerts. Well it’s one at a time then moves onto the next mod every few days, idk which one is next but you may want to check alerts
Can't you just change which shoulder you look over when aiming? There's a setting in the controller mapping called reverse camera. I always thought that's what that did. I know there are some warframe youtubers I've seen who aim on the left for their frames.
My primary issue with this as a former gauss main is your thermal sunder build. Thermal sunder nuking cares WAY more about the number of casts than ability strength. Thermal sunder nuking scales extremely well into steel path and will kill level 9k enemies with even a 10% strength build.
The armor strip thermal sunder can have is 100% guaranteed prock while battery is 100% so you can do it constantly
@SMGXMASK it's 100% chance constantly, it's the amount stripped that's effected by battery

Corrosive projection on a thermal sunder gauss is redundant since his 100% redline already full strips. I'd go with either brief respite or sprint boost so that the mod slot doesn't become wasted after a certain point
It lets you armor strip while you're still building up to redline
@@Frostman1255 Gauss' whole kit revolves around redlining all the time. Low duration makes your battery charge faster and his heat TS scales with itself (meaning that every cast doubles the stacks applied to enemies). Even a low power strength and low duration Gauss is a nuke that shreds steel path and eso
That TS build doesn't care if you're in redline or not it clears all normal content just by casting TS. Builds for high level Redline + TS I don't think are what people want when playing Gauss but they are good.
Let’s go, found this in public archive, time to set up my new frame 🤓
Have you ever considered using subsuming thermal sunder for firewalker? It gives him status immunity, increased speed, and has the exact same duration as Gauss other abilities. It also looks awesome leaving a trail of fire while running
Personally I like Energized Munitions, I get Roar may be more damage but Munitions lets a bigger varity of guns take full advantage of the Gauss Supercharge.
Same, run occucor with the new augment, it's nutty
My gauss have 322% duration, with a little more credit i can make it into 331%. I usually play with energized munitions replacing thermal sunder and bring acceltra prime and akarius prime
they really gotta add an option to camera to edit camera position while ADS for warframes to let players bypass shoulder armor issues on a case-by-case basis
18:45 and once again, we see why a Warfarme opacity slider for ADS is a really good idea. Just keeps happening again and again...
Zommie Warfranme.
Good to know and thank you!
As u mentioned with the book, gauss with nataruk is not fair
What do you think of using Energized Munitions and just using big damage weapons like Kuva Bramma? It's more Primary weapon focused than melee.
This is nearly identical to the build i already run, which is just all duration and Firewalker over the 3 due to 34% range, don't ask why that subsume i just find it fun
there's huge problem with camera aiming in this game
it doesn't adapt at all
there should be at least options to offset/ change it some how
Be me using energized munitions and tenit envoy to delete everything for all eternity
i like to use the sunder augment with the helminth energized munitions to just run around with a stupid big gun seeing number.
Is it worth it to build for styanax’s new augment for his 1?
If so any suggestions?
I am a bit confused, which build is more usefull for steel path again ?
I like energized munitions subsume over his 3 so I repair ammo economy on non incarnon guns.
i havent played since 2016 does your builds still work without arcanes
never got the point of using HM and armor strip together, slash ignores your armor, and when mobs are stripped they just die by a any sneeze from your weapon with good build (and with good build on your weapon enemies will die way before you get 14 corrosion stacks, better use 1 tau emerald shard and corrosive aura to leave 1-2% armor and kee[p your corrosive +75% bonus dmg against it)
any thought on a slash red crit with purple shard ?
Energized Munitions #1
Quick thought do think it would a good feature if DE added if you can change your perspective to first person kinda how you can in battle field.
Nah Gauss is more fun
does this build function well in netracells too?
i think ill slot out nira hatred for transient fortitude for some strength boost since i would like redline to hit a tiny bit harder with mach rush, (mainly i dont wanna have to forma again since i already put that V polarity and honestly gauss is for my haha i go fast needs)
@@Brozime Why are extra shards required to fully strip acolytes and Angels? I thought corrosive procs were % based.
What mods should i run on torid ?
Thank you for this GOZ prime video.
do you plan to update your archon shard guide to take the new shards into consideration?
why not use cunning drift ?
Brozine, what if you tggle the camera to the left side instead? it would let you ads without the thing in the way maybe? please ttell me if it dosent
It should, most large shoulder obstructions aren't an issue if you swap to the other side. I had the same problem with Qorvex and the Mulciber shoulders recently.
oh i thought it could be the case@@LordBummingtonThe3rd
Colors used on your gauss?
Volt is still better, (if you fix him with gloom,or use his discharge augment)
Finally a weapons platform gauss build, the sunder spam gameplay its just not for me, great video!
ah get rid of the innate armor strip so that you can use archon shards with worse effect got it.
TS gauss is 😴😴😴
Relatively new and I’m having energy problems with all frames but especially gauss any tips for how to keep my energy up since I don’t have a lot and I don’t have the helminth system, energy siphon or energy nexus. Also my kinetic plating and redline only have like 12-15 second duration any advice would be greatly appreciated thanks.
Level up zenurik school to help with energy.
Forget energy nexus just use equilibrium instead, also thermal sunder absolutely shred SP since you can make it scale crazily.
make your own build if you have an issue with his? what’s the thought process behind your comment?
It is just straight up better that's the tought process, why are you so salty?
It isn’t “straight up just better” they rate entirely different paths to the same place. They give energy in totally different ways also energy nexus is far better
Still no lol, it's just way better. Any person who equipped both mod at any point in time realise which one is the best. But if you like waiting for energy and die because you couldn't cast an ability instead of not having this issue then go for it. Play what you find fun I guess it doesn't mean it's good tho.
Ye I do that but swapped mach rush for eclipse is amazing
Green shards extra corrosive stack work on angels and acolytes
Has anyone else noticed that his 2 will sometimes randomly just turn off??
I have a Cautacyst riven. What would be good stats to look for when rolling?
range status attack speed
@@underatededm93 thank you
What's the point of constitution if kinetic plating provides a knockdown immunity
more duration
Yet another Brozime banger. The delivery of the sjoulderplate had me howling. Did not notice at all at first. I love speed and I love Gauss. TS does not really resonate with me well so I'm grateful you took another approach than almost every other Warframe creator. As a side note then Rolling Guard is fantastic for dealing with toxin in high levels, but personally I hate it so that's that 😂.
Cheers for the build and great explations instead of saying 'he can do anything' but not elaborate
Bro really went with adaptation instead of shield recharge for infinite shieldgate 💀
Gauss Prime just came out? Like out of the closet? Good for him!
Would afuris be better since it’s 2 instead of 1?
Furis because incarnon mode. Afuris does not have incarnon.
@@RogueAero thank you yeah I’m seeing using weapons without incarnon is a huge difference while I’m playing steel path
Can someone explain why i would want to fully strip armour if most of the weapons that are meta use slash, which ignores armour
At 396% duration, you get some more funny numbers
yeah the buffs from his 4
Has anyone tested if 2 tauforged emerald and 2 reg emerald can fully armor strip archons or liches?
How do u get sprint boost
I inverted Gauss abilities because I forget to tap to charge up Redline and I just straight up drain my battery 😂
Just thinking on that melee if you could get the electric mod to higher value than the viral I would do more damage, viral is only going to stack to 10 so electric should be higher. haven't tried so maybe its not possible.
Haven't yet found content where is super matters and prefer to be over 100% status before weeping kicks in currently
Could you replace Molt Efficiency for Energize and then run whatever you want in place of Energy Nexus?
If you do that id recommend swapping nexus out for flow to hold that excess energy and for when energize doesn't always proc
@@uncoveredkhan09gaming38thanks for the tip!! Appreciate it
Or swapping. It for equilibrium cause it’s a better mid
I'm doubtful running Molt Efficiency on Gauss even with adaptation and Kinetic Plating active with 100% redline. Unless you have a decent way of keeping up shields then that 36% duration is great.
Total damage immunity in most cases means it's up but if it isn't it's also not a big loss for him
@@Brozime That's fair, but as far as I know, Kinetic plating does not technically keep you immune to damage as its just physical damage, Heat, Cold, and Blast damage.
You also don’t need to have it up all the time, you just need it up for casting the abilities and all the benefits stay
@@Olega3559 ah fair point, I forgot that most of Gauss abilities are duration based meaning they get their benefit whenever they were casted.
Is Roar better than eclipse and nourish ?
roar is better in terms of damage than nourish and its consistent
eclipse is better than all of the 2, more damage but ITS NOT CONSISTENT you need good lighting lol
nourish is good for energy and viral procs
just think this way if you want to have roar you wont need to use bane/faction mods which is 1 mod actually while nourish is viral, you need 2 mods to make viral so saving that 2 mods is a goto
i put nourish in my gauss coz i want to cut that 2 mods for viral plus roar can be overkill sometimes its scale late game like lvl 1k enemies. the question is how often do you dealt with lvl 1000 enemies? if you're just doing base steel path or a quick mission you don't really need roar because they will die anyways
nourish is a good option depending on what you're doing but Eclipse I would generally avoid
Does this still stand or with the consistency changes is eclipse > roar? @@Brozime
Narrow minded is from lua vaults right?
No from orokin vaults on Deimos missions / dragon keys from the clan hall orokin lab
There is a mission for all the corrupted mods which show as alerts. Well it’s one at a time then moves onto the next mod every few days, idk which one is next but you may want to check alerts
@@targitausrithux2320 yeah I meant Deimos vaults, it was late
Bro really put roar instead of 75% ammo efficiency on Gauss 💀
The Flash Prime
Ahh so u were waiting for this before u do the 2024 frame tier list... Right?!
Can't you just change which shoulder you look over when aiming? There's a setting in the controller mapping called reverse camera. I always thought that's what that did. I know there are some warframe youtubers I've seen who aim on the left for their frames.
really rather just remove the armor piece and aim normally
@@Brozime Fair enough.
When is the 2024 warframe tierlist?
For me i like to use nikana prime for him
Versatility is for volt get that crap outta here, We Go Zooom
I just like to run around and use gun with occasional melee.
Im quite the opposite
Gos!!! Yikes!!! Carl Friderick Gauss is turning in his grave.
“gaUss” for the Americans “Gaooss”.
