ohhh man its a beauty!!!! i got my first ever side by side this year a 2023 x3 with smart shoxs and its amazing!! cant wait to get on of these newer ones in a few years once they have it all figured out
Completely knocked it out of the park!!! We have a tour, rental business in Southern Utah and have been running the X3's for the last couple of years, we have multiple cars with over 1000 hrs and 25k miles still running strong on stock motors and transmissions, if this is a upgrade from the X3 i cant wait to get mine. Im still wrapping my head around the fact this has a 54mm turbo with 240hp stock this thing uncorked is going to make some serious HP with a 54mm turbo most tuners are making 350 hp with 91 pump. I cant wait tell September 17th when i can order mine.

Yes, more power, same displacement=higher stress, less mean time before failure. The transmission swap to a non-rubber band centric transmission is brilliant.
Bravo Can Am!! I’ve been waiting to see your answer to the Pro R. The DCT trans and 240HP are awesome. The suspension is a bit unconventional, but I see the necessity. I can’t wait to see what the aftermarket vendors offer in the future!! Offer the same incentives for dealer employees as Polaris, and you have a new customer!!

Will this transmission, engine, and touch screen make it to the X3? Or is the X3 going to be eventually fazed out?

Looks like the Maverick grew a mustache. (that tall knuckle suspension) Everyone wants the new Can-Am "Mustache"!
Damn so I can’t put bigger tyres on the front because of that knuckle suspension.
Can am was top dog until a few years ago. They took too long to redevelop the x3 and fell far behind in suspension tech. Credit to them for addressing the suspension rigidity and hopefully removing the chronic can am squeak. I also like the intake location but tge dct is the biggest upgrade.

Super cool! Was thinking about getting a Can-Am this year. Now I have to wait and see these. I'm not an expert on these but was wondering if there will there be a 4 seater? Wonder how it does on technical rock climbing? Or is this version more for speed and open desert? ..That will make my final decision. OH...and the price of course.

I don't think demand will be that high on this one, I was in the market but would never buy it with the silly a arm design...cant run 37s, wont work for trail riding. Most ridiculous idea I have seen from BRP since the beaver tail in 2003.

Is there plans for a narrower maverick R? 77in is great in wide open ground. But wooded trail riding that can get tough.

@danny_on_wii8744 yeah. I have a can_am outlander right now but was thinking about going sxs in 2 or 3 years. I could do it now but in 3 years i will have my cars and home paid off and can drop a pretty coin on a nice sxs and trailer. With a true transmission i might even make it road legal, lol
Yamaha and honda been running DCT for years. Not an industry first. But good to see can am make the switch.

Don’t know if the director is bad or whoever wrote their script but those two brothers can be charismatic on screen but this piece was very off putting in several ways.

The knuckle is cool but at what cost? you have removed a major avenue for customization. want to put 35s on it? you need to buy a new knuckle? The rest is awesome.

Wondering why they couldn't do fox 3.0's up front like Polaris managed to do... Was waiting to get a new X3 since the new Polaris came out.
Bigger isn’t necessarily always better. Pistons that big take a lot of force to move and with this car not having a substantial amount of weight up front you could lose a bit of the plushness in the front end which is an area tge Maverick R really shines! We thought about testing 3” fronts on our 4400 class builds but came to this same conclusion, even with a 50lb winch up front.

@@cheesegrater231 I guess you’re new to YXZs? There’s plenty of them running 400+hp. Mine isnt crazy I usually run it at 15psi which made 215whp on the dyno, that’s about 250 crank hp. If 15psi isn’t enough I just turn a dial and go up to 20 or 25psi, if I can keep the front tires down, she likes to wheelie

The Can-Am Maverick R comes alive in the desert and in the dunes. The Can-Am Maverick X3 is a great choice for trail riding.
To wide here in the south and can’t run big enough tires. They fumbled the bag on southern people wanting a trail mud rig. Pro R it is

Haha we like to use colorful language when it’s in our own words, so best to stick to the script😂. But seriously, only going over the actual features here. It’s a lot of info that was definitely new to us as well. As for our opinions, I can tell you I have never been this excited for a new unit launch. This thing is the next step forward in the sport.
