Very pretty :) I imagine a more lush green but the geography is spot on. For a lot of people the Shire is just kinda like, the vibes of it all. Nice to see someone cares about canon points of interest as much as I for sure do. Ted Nasmith’s Shire paintings also itch my brain because you can tell he studied the maps and descriptions. Ty for this!!
While PJ's adaptation of The Shire is iconic, I think Tolkien in his paintings exposed us to how the world truly looks like, and The Shire it's literally just the countryside of England with cottages and small simple houses.
Yeah this feels too exposed. Reading the books I always imagined there being much more of a "surrounded by forest" kinda feel. Like you might just miss it, if you weren't looking for it.
@@JonVaz28That’s not at all how the books describe it. The main east to west road in that part of Middle-earth runs straight through the Shire. Dwarves travel through all the time
@@kivadacosta but not through Hobbiton. This is Hobbiton. In fact, look at a map of The Shire. Hobbiton literally is "off the path", just north of the main road you refer to.
Bag End? More like Bag Mountain.

You’re very welcome! Thanks for your comment and for watching! I really appreciate it!
@@kivadacosta BTW, the grass color is orangish because the sun is low. It looks much more green during mid-day. 😊😊

I like PJ's version more. But this is still pretty cool.

feels much warmer and cozy in the films

@@JonVaz28The Shire isn't an especially wooded area, but there are pockets of woods around.
Reminds me a little of Lord of the Rings Online's take on the town
Wonderful!
Thanks!
Amazing
Thank you!
So beautiful! Excellent work. Wanted to move into Bag End after watching this.
Thank you! Exactly what I was hoping to hear! 😄
Very cool. Wish I could walk around it myself.
Love it, I always assumed the party tree was at the top of the hill?
Common misconception! Party field is south of bag end and party tree is the tree in that field. 😊
@@PlacesofMiddleEarth now you say it I think I can remember that. Funny, must be because of the painting featuring a tree at the top of the hill.
This is really great!
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Great job!
Thanks!
