I found a way round the desaturated wallpaper thing. I set my wallpaper from photos, or a previous 1 from long pressing on the lockscreen then go to settings, wallpaper, choose the next 1 along, set it, go back to the 1 you really want and set that. Thats it! The wallpaper will retain saturation
My iPhone 15 pro max scrolling is smoother in apps. Safari switching tabs by swiping seems to be smoother and different animation? Swiping control center is smoother, also. Definitely different than last beta 3. Almost like 120hz wasn’t working before. Haven’t found anything else different yet.
So. On iPhone 14 Pro Max it's smoother, than the previous iOS18 b3. The battery doesn't drain as fast as on the previous one. On the previous one I actually saw the % counting down when used. 😅 This time it did not start frying my hands after boot up! No heat on the back since, and I updated it an hour before. ☺️
They will be back! The re release & public beta 1 were compiled before the original Beta 3 update. I imagine it will be back in Dev Beta 4 // Public Beta 2.
Strange, the "Update Finishing in the Background" didn't show up for me on the previous Beta 3, but it shows up now. So weird that it's now gone for you Aaron

Need them to fix the battery life on watchOS my watch drops to 10% or below by the time I get home from work before it was at least 50% It also always swaps to a different face as to when you scroll up with the crown when I have media playing which drains battery even more since it remains in the always on display for the watch I’d rather have it dim like when it would show what media was playing in previous watchOS updates
This is an Apple Intelligence feature coming to iPhone 15 Pro and above. This would have been a bug as the AI features aren't releasing in Beta until September at the earliest.

I haven’t been able to install a beta since iOS 18.3 1st release. My installation continues to fail on my iPhone 14 Pro Max. Have tried many times over with no success.
I really want be able to designate specific apps as games, or activate game mode with a focus mode. That lower latency would be excellent for other apps and processes, not to mention things like Delta do not automatically trigger the Game Mode. Lower latency would be stellar for retro gaming.
Is that issue fixed, where you had to turn on lockdown mode due to a hack? You mentioned that in a previous video. Has that been resolved? Going to install the public beta today.
anyone use the “find my phone” feature from their Apple watch with the new beta? It pings your phone while also telling you how far away it is…haven’t seen a video over that feature yet.
Issues with iOS 18 beta 3.5 on IPhone 15 pro max I noticed that When taking pictures using RAW Max or RAW a message pops up saying unable to load photo this goes for both front and back camera, on the back camera if you try to use different lenses while shooting in RAW you get the same result.
Does iOS 18 fix the really annoying bug where Lock Screen notifications are briefly rectangular shaped before reverting to the normal rounded corners? This has been present for maybe over a year on 2 different phones for me.
I thought "meh" until I used the emoji keyboard on my iPads. Thank goodness they've got the history-tab working again, and have fixed the spacing of the emojis (they were spaced-out, now back to 5 rows).
About wallpaper dimming, they should have it set to dim with dark mode in the Home Screen customisation settings. Like, I would prefer to have a slightly dimmer wallpaper in dark mode at night and have it show up like normal in light mode.
The battery isn't the best, but that was to be expected. Some apps crash, especially those for editing the notification center and the screen in general. Personally, I have one quite annoying bug, i can't see the emoji button on the keyboard. Overall, for the third beta, it's not bad. I'm using an iPhone 13.
Thank you for your work Z and wow I'm starting to be scared that updating to IOS 18 will make my Pro Max 15, de-evolved to Pro Max 13 with IOS 17 speeds. Should we wait to see if performance-wise things get better for multicore processing or could it be that IOS 18 uses so much recourses that this is what is left for the benchmark to utilize? (is it usually like this when new IOS comes out? at least until the update of the bench app and the new IOS have been reviewed?) from 7000+ to 5000+ scary!
I'm running iOS 17.5.1 on iPhone 12 and for some reason when l updated it my camera works but it won't stay focused it keeps auto refocusing and you can't get a clear picture but when I switch to 0.5 it works just fine. Apple please fix this!!!

Noticing that with the iOS 18 Public Beta, it's broken iPhone Mirroring for me. My Mac cannot connect to the iPhone, and the option within Settings >> General >> AirPlay & Continuity >> iPhone Mirroring has vanished. From the UK here, it may be an EU regulatory thing but I used to have it in previous betas.
I have an issue with the previous beta 3. I reacieved recently call numbers from my other phone with the same provider. This is really weird. I reset the provider network settings and the issue is gone

On mac rumors they said theres a new photos feature in the photos app under utilities called recover photos. Its different than deleted photos I think

I’ve noticed that the emojis have gotten smaller than they were before in this re-release update. In iOS 17 and below it was a little bigger.
I’ve also noticed the emoji spacing is way too close than they normally would be in iOS 18. In iOS 17 and below the emoji spacing is a little farther.

Noticed my signal bars are half what they were pre-update. Don’t know if that means a diminished signal or just aesthetics.
There’s also a change to wallpaper now you could add a color to the background of the wall paper photos and it lets you expand the actual image

I was sending a text message today and I got an option to “create an emoji”. I clicked it and messages crashed. I couldn’t find the option again.

Has anybody noticed running beta 3 how the message app just randomly crashes during text message? Still isn’t fixed after today’s update?
This re-release would most likely be an older build than original beta 3. It just depends on when Apple compiled the update.
