For all the people commenting about misplays, that's kinda just a part of playing yugioh in paper. Pak doesn't seem like the type to shark, and there's a reason "accepted game state" is considered a valid reason for continuing a duel after an illegal action if people don't speak up. It's on both players to be aware of both themselves and the other person, because of the margin of human error

Pak thinks 3 moves ahead in like 5 alternate lines under 2 seconds of thinking. He will also think through all of your moves as well before you even see your cards

Pak and this series got me back in the game. Was big into yugioh and Yugitubing years back and had an amazing collection and just became distant from the game but the work Pak putting in and the other YugiTubers got me itching to get back. Keep up the fire content and one day Pak we gonna battle on God (Egyptian Gods) 💯
I've been watching these over the past few weeks. I finally bit the bullet and sold some of my stuff like a playset of Zeus I had from mega Tins and a few other odds and ends worth a little and got just over £100.
Finally taking my very poor rokket deck and really tuning it into my dream list.
I took into account price Vs the power it offers for what I was working with too so while not perfect I've been practicing lines and different outcomes and hopefully gonna hit locals up tomorrow and actually do well as my decks now has pay offs and alot of the cheap staples I'd overlook helped alot

Honestly that Kash player was bad. In G1 if he played his cards correctly he could have either ended his turn on 5 zones locked (didnt matter cuz nib) or ended on 4 summons on arisehearth with the ash in hand and the banished big bang which is like 3 interuptions + followup.
@@martibg4934 Oh yeah, they definitely could have played it better. Kash seems so underwhelming if you don't play to maximize follow-up and minimize getting blown out by stuff like Nib or Evenly.
@@martibg4934 I agree it didnt matter, but i dont think he had the 5 lock combo with ariseheart, because that takes planet + uni/fen + birth/theosis. Looked like he just had planet +birth. He should have summoned ariseheart after birth effect before using mind hacker effect tho.

Yo Pak. Think you misplayed against the Floo player with Evee mat. In the play where he activated the Harpie’s Feather storm. You had summoned Traptrix Sera with Holeutea from grave and basically Traptrix Sera effect where it is unaffected by trap effects no longer applies since it is technically no longer a “link summoned card” but a link that was special summoned from grave. Just applying the Avramax summon requirement where he requires 2 link summoned monsters. A graveyard link wouldn’t work for him. Let me know if I missed something. Learning here too.

Question, Can tokens be banished? I remember in a different ruling regarding tokens and evenly…. The player is forced to banish everything minus the tokens because the “couldn’t be banished”. Just need some clarification
Do you think this Traptrix deck list is still viable today? Getting back into the game and I found 3 of the structure deck on sale at Walmart and I have all the cards you've added to the deck already except Time Space Trap Hole, Merrymaker, Exciton, and Sargas. I figure I can just fill the extra deck in with Bagooska, Abyss Dweller, and Underworld Goddess
Your whole journey with traptrix honestly gave me major momentum in approaching yugioh in a competitive/comprehensive manner. I have been learning alot from your 101 videos as well as seeing you just play these matches. I have the build from the first video.

Yeah I think it would work as a cheaper Imperm sure, it's good to pitch off with Holeutea, it will re-set itself from the grave and trigger Sera on opp's turn to summon Pudica or Myrmeleo from Deck. Good card.
@@msrodrigues2000 just because a card isnt searchable doesnt mean it has no place… imperm and evenly arent searchable and they are just fine in the deck. also, if you have to pitch a normal trap for holeutea, imperm and evenly gives you no further value, whereas lost wind would be able reset eventually. not saying you should play lost wind, but it def can have a place if you want to run it.

Am I wrong in saying this, but at 38:12 isn't floodgate not able to be activated since its a when effect and the last thing to happen is one of the small bird effects coming back? or am i dumb?
The last thing to resolve not activated
Floodgate can be at chain link 10 as long as the last thing to resolve before the chain started was the summon.
On 33:17 sera effect gets negated because she was special summoned from grave and not link summoned so she doesn't get the trap protection. Also when special summoning from deck with sera you must special summon a traptrix with a different name than the ones currently on field.

I've been playing this deck for about a week now and have never even considered summoning two sera with one pointing to the other...I don't think I understand why that would be optimal. Could someone try to explain? I've seen him make this play several times throughout the series now and can't seem to figure it out.

A) to get a monster you want to special summon off Holeutea in GY
B) to get Holeutea itself in GY
Not a bad idea if you don't have the material for another XYZ or you feel having that Holeutea SS immediately available could be useful.

I know some people don’t like kashtira because of the lack of interaction, but I enjoy the fact they have a very clear weakness compared to tear.
Tear has a very clear weakness. Dimension shifter, macro cosmos, dimension barrier, or anything that banishes
@@Mr_deez89 Except it wasnt enough, d shifter doesn't last forever and most of the time the decks that played it (floo) lost hard to bagooska so id just make that until the shifter eff was done.

@@Mr_deez89 I think the issue with that is that the only decks that played shifter was floo and spright but floo could main deck macro and d fissure. Where all of the other decks couldn’t rely on those cards.

Hi Pak! Can you clarify a ruling about Rafflesia? Specifically I'd like to know: if my opponent has special summoned this turn and he now controls a monster with 2000 or more atk, can I use her effect to send "Terrifying Trap Hole Nightmare", which activation condition are met, to copy its effect?
Let me explain better: this trap hole's effect is to pop the target it should have aquired by cost of its activation but since Traptrix Rafflesia's cost is only to send, there's no target to destroy so my conclusion is that Terrifying Trap Hole Nightmare (like Holeutea) is not a possible Rafflesia target.
Am I right or there's a special ruling stating I can satisfay the cost of cards I send for this effect's cost?

Hey, I am not Pak but I can tell you that Yes, this is indeed possible. While this might seem like "Only semantics" at first, targeting is not considered Cost, its kind of its seperate own thing that has to happen on card activation. So for a Cards like Rafflesia that copies only the effect of another card, you still have to declare a Target for that copied effect, even though that is not part of the actual effect.

@@Luca-zi3hm at the time you posted this, there would have been little to no information around this interaction because Terrifying Trap Hole Nightmare was literally brand new, it released along side the structure deck.
That being said, just to reinforce what has already been confirmed, yes, you can use Rafflesia to send TTHN at any point after your opponent has special summoned, so long as the opponent now controls a monster with 2000 or more attack.
When it comes to Rafflesia and her effect, your opponent need simply meat the condition stipulated on a normal Trap Hole card in order for her to activate her effect, the condition in this case being your opponent has special summoned, it works no different to any other Hole normal trap in that reguard.
I know im a little late to the party so you're probably past caring, but I hope that helps you, and potentially others who have the same question in the future.

That being said, yes, I found answer for this ruling long ago thanks to a forum talking about this same interaction but with treacheus trap hole (that still needs to target in order to resolve).
To give my personal point of view on how you can interpretate the ruling: to pay a cost is different from activating such effect.
Same as Myrmeleo must ACTIVATE without PAYING COST while oppo doesn't have s/t, Rafflesia can activate THEN pay its cost to send TTHN and THEN pay TTHN's cost as a portion of TTHN activation conseguence

Can you activate the field spell card even during battle phase? Lets say your opponent has 3000 LP left. Could you attack with Allomerus, then banish her, summon Matnis from your GY and attack with Mantis for game? Couldnt find anything by googling.
You can not activate it, cause in the battle step only quick effects and trigger effects can be activated.

Can floo actually grab all the little birds off of normal summons? I thought the add back from banish effects chain blocked each other
Each bird individually triggers off of the summon of a winged beast so you can certainly add back more than 1 bird, they do chain block each other but they do not miss timing because you chose to add one already, whereas a card like ash blossom gets chained blocked and can't be used because it MUST be the next card in the chain if it wishes to negate a search
This only applies to multiple if trigger effects in the hand, banished ones can all activate

Feather storm stops the play . Sera bring unaffected doesent stop your using a monster effect . It is a lingering effect on the player
This is not the case. It is a lingering effect on the field but it is still a Trap effect and Sera being unaffected means that she will be able to resolve if properly link summoned. In this instance, due to her being special summoned from the GY, her effects are indeed negated, but her immunity is not an activated effect and therefore will successfully apply on her Link Summon, insulating her from Feather Storm's Negation. This is due to how Feather Storm is written specifically: "Until the end of this turn, negate any monster effects your opponent activates." It doesn't negate the activations, it negates the effects of activated effects, meaning that when the effects try to resolve during the chain resolution, Sera's unaffected status will override the attempt from Feather Storm to negate.
Compare this with Outer Entity Azathot, which does state "After this card was Xyz Summoned, your opponent cannot activate monster effects for the rest of that turn." That is a lingering effect on the player, rather than the field, which would stop any effect activations even if the monsters in question were unaffected by card effects.

It's better to keep in the side deck. It's not always a good main deck card.
16:00 you had sera in your main monster zone and summoned another sera in your main monster zone but neither one had arrows point to the other.
When you special summon a link monster by means other than "link summon" (like reborn it with Holeutea), it doesn't matter where you put it.
And he summoned the 2nd Sera to the EMZ.

Pudica can only target special summoned monsters, not very good as an interruption vs floo (unless you are talking about a different round, I’ve only watched up to round 3 so far)

Played against floo today at an ots championship and yes, it is definietly very awkward to play against. Especially if they summon dark simorgh 💀 Literally the only traphole other than holeutea i activated on field was floodgate traphole, even though it really doesnt do to much, only to trigger seras effect.
Floo autowins vs traptrix, just a matchup they can't really do anything about unless they side-deck specifically to beat them
Feather storm has negated sera both time.
The first time because the activation of the trap was prior the link summoning of sera, so she is not uneffected.
The second one because she was summon from gy
You're only partly right. The first sera is negated because it was not link summoned that is true but the second one is not negated because if you read feather storm it says negate any monster effect your opponent activates and sera being unaffected does not activate
