great IP (Intellectual Property) using Stern pinball game from when they were starting out. I remember playing this at the Aventura Mall in Miami when they actually had this for sale at a Sharper Image store in 2003. And I can understand why the game tanked with the previous owner, since the movies are known for their raunchiness (since it was meant to resemble the cheekiness of the films of the 60s, especially of the go-go type). I even remember when one of the action figures got a lot of controversy because it had Austin (who was clad only in his union jack underwear) saying 'Do I make you horny, bay-bee?'' which got pulled off the shelves.
Well, raunchiness didn't stop Bride of Pinbot (YES, YES!!) or Scared Stiff (I'M HAVING MULTIPLE JACKPOTS!) and probably wouldn't have stopped Big Bang Bar (MMMM, A LITTLE MORE TO THE LEFT... HARRDERRR!) if that had gone into full production.
I'd say the majority of pinball has some sort of fanservice, innuendo, or Mature Content - Xenon, Centaur, Bride of Pinbot, Elvira, Scared Stiff, Gorgar, Big Bang Bar, Truck Stop, even Tales of the Arabian Nights ("I am your genie. O Master. Rub the lamp." - it's in the delivery.) Then, of course, Barb Wire, Playboy (Bally) and Playboy (Stern), and not to mention the legendary Zingy Bingy. Google that if you dare.
TNT Amusements Inc Stooges tended to make Pies Gone Forever :P surprised you haven't pulled the fake / false glass bottle on them yet. (makes a mess but no hurt. Mel Gibson used to pull that on award shows
This game also hit bad timing with 9/11. They had to take out the DC stuff by default with a later rom update. This game has some big valid playfield abuse
i have had nothing but problems with my royal rumble. MPU, power supply, display, sound board... you name its gone bad and has had to been repaired or replaced. not happy with it at all, it has put a really bad taste in my mouth for that game. im sure when its all fixed up it will be OK, but still hesitate to play it. i have 4 other pins and they are all wonderful having only minor issues. that royal rumble, when i get the sound board back from repairs.... its gone. i want $1,800-$2,000 out of it and i dont even know if thats a realistic number. i have sunk so much money into this pin, i would have been better off with a williams pinbot, space shuttle... pretty much anything williams system 6-11. data east, i doubt i will buy another. i also dont like search for doink (annoying and stupid mode) or the ohhh yeahhhs when you drain a ball.
Hello I just got a Austin powers pinball machine today. The difference between mine and yours are the characters. In mine the mini me is blue like he looked when he was in jail and fat bastard is naked with a robe on like when he was wrestling and the Austin powers feet are both on the ground and info you can give me would be great. If you need I could send pictures thanks
