I really enjoy your videos. One reason is that you two seem to REALLY enjoy seeing new places and sharing your experience with others who can't travel right now. You are living the life, let me tell you. I know these videos are quite a ways behind present time so I hope all is well with you and that you will continue to travel. Take care.
Loved this video. I am 79 years old and when I was 16 we would go to Cloudland Canyon and hike down to the bottom of the waterfall. There were no stairs . We took a lot of pictures, ate picnic lunch and had a lot of fun together. Great memories. If young people today could enjoy the simple things God gives us they would be blessed as we were. Thank you for sharing your adventures. I look forward to the next one.
That's where I grew up. I use to love going to cloudland canyon. Next time you go to chattanooga, instead of going to Ruby falls go to racoon mountain wild cave tour. It's way better and well worth the money. They also have a campground.
I follow 147 rvers on TH-cam and you guys have be come my number one channel! I could watch Bree talk all day and you two are such a lovely couple. I like how Bree always looks towards TJ as she talks. You can just see the love between you two. God bless you both. I am also a Patreon subscriber.
We have been busy getting ready to get back on the road. Sorry for the delay but we are working on new content and will be returning soon. Thanks for following along 🙂
Ruby falls is unique. I’m 79 and in my 20’s+, while traveling in the area, it seemed that all the barns had an ad - visit ruby falls. It took up the whole side of the barn or roof
"See Rock City" ads have been painted on local (and not so local) barns for at least 60 years. My parents spent their honeymoon in Chattanooga, and remember seeing Rock City and Lookout Mountain - the ads were there back then (1957). We went to Ruby Falls in late May 2017, and were amazed by a) how narrow it was on the tour, and b) how many people they had underground at one time. We had to stop and let other tours go by several time, with more than 15 people in each tour group. The best part was when they turned out the main lights when we were at the Falls. Very cool, and very unique. And commercial. And pricey, but we're glad we went.
Guys, I had to send a big thank you note. We've noticed several RV You-Tubers have sort of slid into a pattern of creating "Instagram Moments" - while you guys have remained so genuine - of all of the channels out there you guys are THE BEST. Keep it up and I hope you are out having more great times. Again, thanks for keeping it real!
I've lived here all my life and after school trips to Ruby falls Rock City you kind of take for granted how pretty this city is thanks for your perspective
Gorgeous Falls! Thanks for braving the stairs for us! What an awesome military park! Chatanooga is on our list...so beautiful! Have a great week! Your friend in SC, Jane
You will never get Florida completely out of your system. I tried and returned to the home my parents raised me in after being away 20 years. Such a unreal but wonderful feeling. Have been here 25 years now and love it. Many memories.
I absolutely LOVE that area of the country. I've been to east Chattanooga many times over the years, and have always enjoyed that region. I especially like the Civil War history that abounds there. The fall colors are amazing too!
We are doing well. We took a little break to be able to prepare to get back on the road after our winter stay in Florida. Thanks for checking in and we'll be back soon 🙂
Spent time in Chattanooga years ago. What I remember most was a stop at Chattanooga station and a ride thru the yard on a trolley. The guide was very entertaining. He could tell each rider how to get from Chattanooga by rail to their home town in the early 1900s. Also remember Lookout Mountain.
My 11 y/o daughter and i went to Chattanooga right after Christmas 2020 and we did the Incline Railroad and the Ruby Falls also. I agree with you on the cave tour being rushed and I didn't feel it was worth the money. The tour guide was telling us so much personal information that it became quite unprofessional as she talked more about her family than the cave. Honestly couldn't wait for it to be over. We drove to the Smokey Mountains for a day as it wasn't that far away. Loved your video. xo
Thanks for sharing born and raised there! Check out Chester Frost Park and Harrison Bay and our too big mountain bike trails. Raccoon Mt. Trails and Enterprise South. Harrison is very close to Enterprise. Thank you for the tour of Ocala just had friend move there and there were tell us about the equestrian center how nice it is! There Daughter was working a event there and that is how they move there loving it! Be save in your travels!
Great video. We visited that area back in November (about the same time as you I think). Since you went to the Duke's of Hazard museum, you would probably enjoy the International Towing Hall of Fame and Museum in Chattanooga. Highly recommend if you're back in that area. My wife even liked the museum.
Wow! You guys were about 35 minutes from us. This is our go to campground and we have spent many weekends there. My wife and I love Chattanooga and have a monthly date night there. You are correct, there are sections that are very commercialized, but this place comes alive in the summer with many outdoor activities. They even have a full Ironman triathlon and a half Ironman triathlon here. I’m glad you enjoyed your stay.
I love Chattanooga! Cloundland Canyon and Point Park are the only places I’ve not been. Rock City, Ruby Falls, go! They’re awesome and there’s so much to do in and around Nooga. Dunlap has a huge waterfall if you love waterfalls! ❤️
I grew up in Lookout Valley and Cloudland Canyon is a beautiful place. I rented a cabin up there and it was AWESOME. So glad that you appreciate it as much as I did.
Very nice journey. Relaxed, casual, and informative. Your filming was excellent and you appeared more and more relaxed as you traveled closer to home. The inflection of your voices were very revealing. Again, I must comment that I totally look forward to viewing Embracing Detours each week. Thank you for your wonderful journeys and the sharing you provide. Rick
Cloud land it’s an amazing park. They also have wonderful cabins that have been renovated and offer great amenities. The park has a great trail system and great waterfalls.
Next time you’re in the area check out raccoon mountain caverns and the pumped storage station...I take family and friends to those two spots and they enjoy them both!
Wonderful!!! We did the exact same trip last year only difference was we omitted Ruby Falls and opted for the Aquarium instead. We explored Cloudland Canyon SP a bit more as well. The waterfalls there were amazing. It's great to share your journeys with you. Thanks for choosing to take us along.
I was living in the Florida keys on big pine key up until 2017 and I moved to Chattanooga a month before Hurricane Irma hit. The house I was living in got 9ft of storm surge. So it was good I left I guess. The ticks aren't that bad. Except north like Kentucky up through Pennsylvania is where you can contract lyme disease
I understand that feeling of getting stuck in Ocala. I had been stuck for many years here and when I retired I thought I was free. We went all over the Northeast, Texas and California and went back for a breather and I’m stuck here again, it seems. Best to you!
Had a wonderful stay at Cloudland Canyon when you were there. If I recall correctly 1200 steps! Heading back to the Pine Mountain area and Providence Canyon for several weeks. Thanks for taking us back again, it was like deja vu. Stay safe, friends.
Hey guys.... its been on our list to get to Cloudland Canyon! How far is Helen from there? I've been to the incline and Rock City when I was a kid... need to get Mike there now!! Welcome back to the east coast!!☺Oh yes and I went to Ruby Falls also!!
Hi guys I have never been to the Florida Keys and most likely never will. You living in Florida ,do you have a Episode on the Keys? If not can you make one . Kerry and Suzanne in Utah
Another brilliant film. Your honesty about your feelings about travelling back to Florida was captivating. I'm sure we'd feel the same given your amazing experiences over the last few years. Safe travels wherever you are currently 😀
We did Ruby 20 years ago and with kids it was expensive. I just slowed down when the tour guide kept trying to speed up and we went slow enough to loose them and go with the next group that was going through, much better guide and better pace. It is pretty commercial now, exit is through gift center.
We went to Cloudland Canyon Park when we worked at Amazon in Chattanooga in 2019. I can't remember why we didn't do that waterfall trail. Maybe because we were too tired working at Amazon.😆 We didn't do the incline railway either that time. We did it many years ago with our kids though. Thanks for sharing your adventures! Chris and Barbara
We had flea and tick medicine that we had to give to our dogs when we lived in the mountains of Northern CA. One of our dogs actually had heart worm and had to go through the treatment. We spent a long weekend with kids and camped at Cloudland when we were still living in CA. We put our sleeping bags in suitcases along with our tent! It was quite an adventure. Glad you had a fun time there. OH MY, you were so close to us! Wish we could have met you.
Thanks for sharing.... Now I dont have to hike to those 2 waterfalls and climb all those stairs. We were in Chattanooga years ago and skipped Ruby Falls. Thanks for sharing that as well. Now I can save those $$$$’s. Safe travels to you...
Visited Point Park and Ruby Falls. PP was excellent and a handed by excellent NPS ranger tour. Ruby Falls was OK. Didn’t feel rushed, but colored lighting at the falls was stupid. Need regular, lighting. Another cool video. Travel safe.
I think my home state has some 54 waterfalls an about that many state parks. Anyone who loves outdoors will not find a shortage of things to do. It is hard actually for me to say which like better the fall when all leaves are turning or in spring when all flowers are blooming.
The stairs at Cloudland Canyon are NO JOKE, like a stairmaster on steroids. They sort out the fit from the weak that's for certain an if you go after a rain you can just slide down them from the goo that forms after moisture hits them lol. Next time you come through try Raccoon Mountain and the cave there. Cool & more worth it. Ruby Falls has lost it's luster after so many many years of tourism. The Tn River Gorge is a very nice hike and BEAUTIFUL on a misty morning, it's a long medium intensity hike but worth every step.
On your next trip to Utah visit Flaming Gorge. Great Camping, Its on the Green River. Utah Colo. & Wyo The Trifecta of Scenic beauty . Close to Vernal, Utah. Vernal has a Walmart, Freddy's and a Cafe Rio. Keep up the Videos There Great ! Kerry ATS Saloon
You probably have been but we just camped in Vogel State park this past weekend (about froze the first 2 nights in out tent) but that was a great place to stay. My daughter just moved to Chattanooga and lives up on Lookout Mountain. Definitely adding Cloudland Canyon to my list in the very near future so glad I saw your video. The aquarium there is really great and worth the price in my opinion if you like aquariums.
Sorry to hear about your experience at Ruby Falls. We were there several years ago and had great time. Our guide Doug was alot of fun and it was a nice pace. Never felt rushed.
Glad to see y'all enjoyed my hometown, Chattanooga! I've never camped at Cloudland Canyon, but I've made day trips to the waterfalls. It's a gorgeous park! Next time y'all visit Chattanooga, check out Raccoon Mountain. There's a campground there, & they have a cool caving experience as well.

Chattanooga is my home...my roots run deep in that valley
Gorgeous Falls! Thanks for braving the stairs for us! What an awesome military park! Chatanooga is on our list...so beautiful! Have a great week! Your friend in SC, Jane
My wife and I are building a home on the Lookout Mountain only a few miles from Cloudland State Park...it is lovely.
Lucky! I love that area.
Awesome editing ramp at 7:44! These little things really add to an already great video.

The ticks aren't that bad. Except north like Kentucky up through Pennsylvania is where you can contract lyme disease
You can buy the seresto flea and tick collars they work good and they last 8 months we use them for our dogs
You guys have the best RV channel in my opinion. Keep up the great work.
If you ever come back to North Carolina, you need to go to Chimney Rock State Park and climb those stairs.
Yep, been there done that.
It’s a beast but worth it
My wife and i love cloudland canyon s/p. Lots of hiking.
These videos are so much fun....watch every one... the patch collection is great.....
I understand that feeling of getting stuck in Ocala. I had been stuck for many years here and when I retired I thought I was free. We went all over the Northeast, Texas and California and went back for a breather and I’m stuck here again, it seems. Best to you!
Every time I watch yall I end up feeling deeply relaxed and like I've been hanging out with family.
Next time you go thru Chattanooga, make sure you go thru the aquarium. Best one we've ever seen!
Fall Creek Falls is also really nice.

Great video, we are about 30 minutes south of Chattanooga. If you come back north on 75 try The Lost Sea just north of Chattanooga near Sweetwater.
Another brilliant film. Your honesty about your feelings about travelling back to Florida was captivating. I'm sure we'd feel the same given your amazing experiences over the last few years. Safe travels wherever you are currently 😀

If you come thru Austin please say hi and let me buy you a beverage of choice. All the best.
Another great detour, sorry the cave hike wasn't as good for the two of you. Enjoy connecting with your family and friends.
If you like caves we have one up near McGregor Iowa that you tour by boat called Spook Cave.
Might as well hit Cave of the Mounds then also.
My wife and I were their, one of our favorite places. Especially down in the cave. The whole trip we had was cool. Thanks for the memories. We also liked the sights at look out mountain.
Have you quit the rode and gone back to work. Hope you the best in return to your old new life. I enjoyed your show while it lasted. Thanks

We had reservations at Cloud Canyon last April and then COVID hit and reservations were canceled. Chattanooga looks like a cool place too. My niece worked there at the Tennessee Aquarium till COVID shut that down too.
