The BK1S is a very delightful AEB, the poor man's AEB if you will. It is quite easy to mod it up for Talon Mags but the BK1S mags aren't terribly expensive so if someone didn't mind buying that platform to avoid modding it's certainly possible. Also the BK1S Mag is easy to mod to take 15 Darts instead of the standard 12. ☕🎩
This thing would be an EASY 10/10 if it was Talon compatible. Such a weird choice. Maybe a BK-3 later on will be... Edit: 11:06 because it's an AEB, you should be able to get a downgrade spring. I'm not sure how accessible that is, but it's something worth looking into.
Tip fpr disassembly: - 1 screw in the grip is glued you will need to remove it before disassembly. - there are screw caps on the right side of the blaster remove those to access the screw
As a guy with a BK1s, wasp77, and a storm I love them all. The only downside to the wasp77 for me is the trigger pull. It’s heavy. The storm is picky at times with darts but seems to do a lot better with unicorn mags rather than kodas. The only downside with the bk is the lack of talon compatibility. One of my local buddies designed a piece you can print and hack off the front of the bk to attach. I printed it but haven’t done it yet. There is also a bottle grip stock eventually coming soon as well that relocates the battery to a printed bottle kind of like a paintball marker
Me too do owned all Storm, BK1S and Wasp 77. I will pick Wasp 77 over all other due to price and performance. Yes, the Wasp 77 trigger is heavy but there are already 3 party after market trigger mod to reduce 50% load. Downside of BK1S is the non talon compatibility and the lack of upgrade for performance ( stock 156 fps ). The stock spring seems like the max for the motor and gears. While wasp 77 with 2.2 spring can go up to 260 fps. Even the 2.0 spring can easily go over 200 fps. For such a compact blaster (26.5 inch), its something incredible. Storm is the best performance of all but it cost 2.5x or more, heavier and much longer.. So its not something for everybody.
There's a channel with a cutting guide to make it talon compatible. I'm not affiliated, but don't want to share if that's out of line. Cool to see you so excited about it.
@CaptainXavier th-cam.com/video/4D3WzwSxqJ0/w-d-xo.htmlsi=dwqrVHMGUbq5MSxa They've also got full teardown videos it seems, could help with your want to paint it up
Are you aware of the 2-round burst mode? Tungsten EXE has a video explaining all of the features. And for the Talon mod, BC Foam Flingers have a video up on their channel on how to do it, as well as a bunch of STLs for replacement mag releases and selector switches.
its pretty easy to swap the spring in the BK1S (take off the stock, twist out the spring lock) if you want lower FPS. slightly higher FPS is also possible.
Tbh i actually really like the bk mags, i did buy 6 extra so i have 7 in total, i would have preferred it to take talons but i dont fancy cutting away material. I honestly love this blaster. I would like the cw77 but atm im looking to get the kunlun next.
4:04 why were like... all these 3 shots shotgunning? lmao you shot twice and it just exploded into 15 darts XD But yes you should get an inverted scales. I'd love to see your take on it.
YOu should review the 77 for sure! I want one but have been told the trigger pinches and the trigger weight is horrible.. Would love to get your thoughts on it!
Definitely can be modded to take talon both by sanding out the may well or cut out 3d printed part. Check out BCFF they have done a ton of work on the bk
Considering a cw77, not taking talons with means I'm not willing to buy it. I sold my venom because having to manage a separate mag type was too irritating for me. Had no issues with the venom itself.
While doing a few test games for Foam Nomad, we had 2 BK-1S seize up due to cold weather. So might want to make sure any lubricant is cold weather rated
@MortenWill I've Nerf in -15c weather and almost all the battery powered blasters struggled. They just weren't built for it. But thanks for the heads up. I know at least one of the lubes I have used did not handle the cold well. I think I switched to one that is better.
@@CaptainXavier Initially troubleshooting the batteries was tried, with no change. Once the blaster was back inside, the issue solved it self. So it might not be lubricants, but signs are pointing that way
@@somethingsomething9081 I will pick wasp 77 over BK1S unless aesthetic is your priority. Performance of wasp 77 is superior over BK1S plus wasp 77 still can manual without battery. Using it as a manual springer.
@magmapixel8627 I don't have any, so I have no opinion on them. But I don't have one because most places I play don't allow them and I don't have the infrastructure to support one and don't have any desire to build it.
The BK1s is what I choose over the blasters from Siren. Out of Darts has downgrade springs for the BK1s in the 130 and 160 range. Here is the link to the BC Nerf Group they have a mod video for Talon's and the BK1s. th-cam.com/video/4D3WzwSxqJ0/w-d-xo.html
@ahather not they hobby in general, in my opinion. Just the stuff coming out of China and Singapore. You know, places that don't have a huge issue with rampant gun violence and so perhaps don't understand the issues such designs create in America. It us a shame though.

Agreed absolutely on the talon mag comment:)) and yeah the spring swap is fairly easy but yeah you need to find the right sort of airsoft spring 😀.
It takes standard aeg airsoft springs, no need to shorten them
Theres actually a pretty easy mod on printables to convert it
Remove the stock and the spring can be accessed by twisting the spring guide allowing you to swap springs
Out of darts does downgrade springs, I bought one for my bk2s as my locals is run in a small Lazer tag place and is 130/140 FPS cap
Cap
Wow this looks and performs amazing. Thanks for taking us through it's pros and cons. Keep up the great work.
Thank you for the video. Take care.
I think the color is just fine 😜
Ofc Al 😂
Ooooooo. Very pretty. If you can convert it to talon mags then this may be my next blaster purchase.
You can. I’ve done mine. Just some dremmeling required
Tip fpr disassembly:
- 1 screw in the grip is glued you will need to remove it before disassembly.
- there are screw caps on the right side of the blaster remove those to access the screw
Awsome blaster, awsome revieuw, thanks Cap. 😁

@ is the 77 trigger mod released yet?
@SpyderGiant yes but in taobao only..
@ sigh

Great blaster!
The hobby has come such a long way with enthusiasts and technology that we won’t have to wait long for a nerf cruise missile from a drone
I like this.
But I like this better.

I can't wait for a mass produced version with a safe battery from dart zone. This will replace flywheels in pro nerf in the future.

Can you do a Spring Swap to lower the power?
Yes
can it take a k26: Xshot Blastercorn. pls...
Inverted scales apparently better than the sweetheart storm

Hey would you ever sell your modded matrix fire
Probably not. Matrixfires are hard to find these days.
Never seen a blaster that performed 1,000,000 times better than it looks. That thing is hideous.
