Randomly got reccomended the part 3.5 vid, now I have to watch all 3.5 parts lmao
Haha same
On the same boat
Same here
Wow that interior. The first gen CRV has one of the nicest interiors of the time and that's a beautifully cared for example. Never see them in that kind of shape! Hyped to see where this project ends up!
Honda changed the interior on the '99-'01's. I have a '98 and mine is different. My interior is in near mint condition but I have to admit I prefer the later versions of the first gen's.
I have a '98 CRV that I drove off the dealer's lot in the first week in March of that year. It now has 303K miles under her belt. I'm amazed there's so much rust underneath of this one because it doesn't have the usual visible rust over the rear fender wells.
Finally someone that’s doing something I’ve always wanted to do to mine. Gives me some motivation to do so!
You have an indestructible mindset brother! I was not expecting it to be that rusty… Subscribed
Great, I had been waiting for years for someone to make a video like this with an RD1, I have one just like it but only the Japanese version, very entertaining, greetings from Costa Rica pura vida!
Just found your channel and this restoration that you're doing.
Back in August I purchased an 08 subaru outback sight unseen with 37,000 miles, everything looked great in the pictures, I was so blinded by the miles I never asked for undercarriage pictures, she's a rusty girl the rockers aren't as bad but I took her for an inspection sticker and she needs 4 wheel bearings both control arms and the surface rust has spread like cancer, the guy at the inspection place told me to dump it.
This has been a tough pill for me to swallow, luckily I'm a mechanic by trade, but I'm caught between fixing her up a bit and trying to do right by the next person I sell it to, or stretching it out and fixing all correctly and keeping it.
Life is full of decisions.
Thanks for your videos they're very helpful
This is an awesome restoration going on!
Good old dry state car no underseal that's why they are cheaper to buy there but rot like hell.
They should have plastic cars up there
This would be amazing with a 5 speed conversion and a 3rd gen diff swap, maybe a gsr head for the heck of it. Love my 99 5 speed and great work
Nice going, waiting on part 2. Thanks and cheers :)
9:11 Watch out, don’t want to damage those ball joint rubber boots!!!
9:30 Nvm 😂😂
thank you for your sharing
Those bolts honestly don’t look that bad at all! Apart from the head, the threads look brand new!
que buen video saludos desde argentina crack
Nice.
How come you blurred out the impact gun
Probably has his name etched in it to keep it from growing legs. All my tools, the ones with my name on them, come back to me. The ones without I never saw again.
Sick
i am a tirst time buyer, the previous owner just drove the are around the city took care of the maintenence how long would a car last? would it do any harm if you "add" highwway driving to the mixture but did the care etc befre how long would the transmission last? how mamy yrs?
whats that tool called, to cut the windows out?
Why blur the impact gun when removing the subframe. I don't get it
Came here to ask the same question
@@chikunman133 sameeeeee lol

What do you use to record?
an old beat up Nikon D3400
@@MODNTUNE Nice. Getting some pretty good angles and it looks stable. Trying to record in a car is so hard with the limited space. It's so amazing that you did all that to the car while recording. Already caught up with all the CRV videos and waiting for part 4!
I love the idea of saving the cars from scrap but this thing needs to be scrapped
isnt it better to just buy a better condition crv ? here in cali they go from 2.5k -5k but i know out of cali they are alot cheaper im on my 3rd crv now so i know a bit on the plat form
Honestly yes but maybe it's fun. It's also good content for people that like this kinda thing
Why restore an RD1?
come and build my Honda CRV
Cool vid. I think the music takes away from the work you do. Not great music.
ayo
are you ALIVE
def a rollback
Its not, it was owned by an elderly man its entire life, I'll talk about it in the next video!
Криворукий не мог сразу капот снять и через мотор отсек мотор вынуть
