Just a small tip from having watched a number of folks take the name brand shot... they suggest to place the shot against the skin before unlocking in case of a misfire! (early delivery due to malfunction) 🎉❤. Thanks for sharing you two!

All the branded ZB pens have the same amount of liquid (.5ml) they are just different concentrations to make up the MG strength of the dose. I have never felt the needle from the pens, it goes in so quick and dispenses the med sometimes I question if it really did anything. LOL

Interested to know how her week goes on the pen vs the compound she is used to. Btw every Mounjaro and Zepbound pen have 0.5ml … the 15mg pens have the same amount of liquid as the 2.5mg and every other dose. Only the strength of the dose changes 😊

I’d put the grey thing back in, then put it in sharps box. Avoids anyone from the possibility of a stab. Like the wipe, it’s just good practice. Love the travel case btw! Have a great cruise!

I think thighs in general hurt more than bellies. I once read that the number of nerves is different. Plus I think we mothers have such "abused bellies" from pregnancy and perhaps C-sections that I know I feel a lot less in the belly than before pregnancy.
I'm vicariously enjoying your travels. I'm sitting here resting between planting mums in my Pennsylvania yard. It's a good productive workout!

Congrats and it’s so great that hubby lent you his 7.5. I agree the pen is superior. L would you ever try the Zpen or auto injector 2 with cpd T. The auto injector gives a very similar experience to the Z pen. I think it’s great.

I have the same case but when I used it my ice pack did not last long when I was traveling a few months ago but I still love my case
I think they really only last a day or two but they really only need to keep it below 88

It’s a broad area - and aiming for the fat
I don’t have much fat in the top, so I went to the right a bit. But yes top of thigh is recommended
Hey Tammy, you're right. You're actually supposed to do the shot on the top or outer part of the thigh. The science is that you're more vascular on your inside thighs, and don't want to get into all those vessels. Just food for thought! Congrats on your 1st Z shot! 🎉❤ God bless!
Question for laraine, did you find the branded zepbound injection different in away to the compound one? As in suppression or anything like that?

I'm changing from ZB to compounding in two weeks. Do you have B3 vitamin in your Mochi Trizeptirzepatide? Love fiber gummies and chocolate shakes. Thank you.
Some of the compounding pharmacies the mochi uses have b3 or niacinamide in them.
Did you think the brand name worked better than the compound or would you say they were about the same?
No we have seen no difference
I have only used compound. I tried my arm this week and i have a small bruise which i have not had on my stomach or leg.
Both arm and leg have a tingle at first but it goes away quickly. I personally dont like the waste of the Zepbound
Not sure I understand - what is the waste
All doses of zepbound have the same amount of liquid inside. This is why the vials at the higher doses won’t work. Spitting this small amount is dangerous for the average person. The same amount in the pen is the same amount in the vials.
Internationally the vial dosage is a bit different
@@thedownsized im assuming we only care what is going on in America. And here they come in all strength at .5 ml.
We watch the globe and are happy to report on what’s happening. It’s often a good indicator of how both Lilly and novo may handle things here not to mention the research universities are doing interesting things in Europe and Asia

@@thedownsized hi there. Gab from Australia here. The liquid in the vials in Australia is always five ml. The concentration goes up with the dosage. So 15 mg is still five mills of liquid.
In reality you get about six mils of liquid which equates to 60 units and I take 20 units per week which means I get three shots out of one 15 mg vial.

My carrying case is a a cylinder. Through the airport they flagged it and asked me to open it. It has a temp gauge on top. No problem. I don’t think you’re supposed to do inside thigh.
Eli Lilly simply says thigh - and their graphic shows a large area. That location is fine
@@thedownsized femoral artery is there. Diagram shows front center thigh.
The shot was well within th area and no where near the femoral artery but thanks for the concern
