  • The new and improved Arizona Cactus Sales nursery is open to the public! It is located to the back of the original location, so drive to the same location as the old nursery and keep driving on the dirt road to the back. Ty and his team did an amazing job with the new space, it's clean and neat and spaced out and updated. There's now a collector's table with the rare cactus and succulent specimens. If you're in the Phoenix area be sure to head to Chandler and let them know that Jenny & Cookie from Cookie's Cacti sent ya!

It's a challenge finding that balance between trying to catch the details on the plants, labels, and prices while moving swiftly through to keep time in check and not being in the way of other customers. I'm not familiar with zone 6 so I can't give any recommendations, unfortunately. I barely even know my own zone lol. I got my totem pole cactus because it was spineless. Otherwise, I'd have to think hard about other spineless varieties. You could always look for inermis types - the cactus that have a mutation/growing tend of not having spines. Otherwise, the majority of cactus have spines.
