"We need to bathe in blackness for awhile, but I wish we'd get the bath over with and go on to something more important. Black is not an ethnic term. Black tells you how you look, but it doesn't tell you who you are." ~ JHK
Even though I saw this many years ago, it is empowering to review again and again. Keep it in your spirit , your consciousness. More then that.. Do your part..share it with everyone you know.!
After hearing this , I am still of the opinion that we are truly " a great people ", now if we only get together in everything, there would be no stopping us at all ! " Remember, The Dream Is One, One World Africa, Now and Forever !" 😎
Black people throughout this world need to come together no matter where you are from! To say I am Jamaican, African American, or any other black person in this world... You will always be A black person, and that's what black people must focus on and begin to truly care about each other all over the world. This is the only way black people will ever come up, by standing by each other!!!! There's no other way family!!!!
That would be nice. But in reality. We are one race. As stated in the video, white people created the word race. To separate themselves from all other races. Think about this, who came up with the word minority and why? One race gets to say, we're the majority, and you're the minority. Where is that written in stone? The sad part is, that we accepted it as facts. 🫤

this great man!
Race is culture being made to look like biology in order for capitalist privilege to camouflage racism! I think, where'd I hear that? Human DNA has been mapped, and they haven't found a race gene. Prof. Clarke is the Pro from Dover as Hawkeye would say.
Dr. Clark was truly a champion of truth, and I love to listen to him teach, what has never been taught to us in this system they call education...!
truth🥴
ASE' Master Teacher. Love Dr. John Henrik Clarke
I want to study intellectuals like him and their ideology with others who are interested like I am. I want to know our history the way he does so that I may pass on what is being destroyed daily of our history.
Dr. J.H.Clarke is my favorite mentor! I love this enlighten mind!
Could listen to him all day.
Despite the negative connotations of the term "Black" many positive and prolific images come to mind. Elegance, regal beauty, talent, genius, art, poetry, science, epic victory, excellence, royalty, resilience, inventors, warriors, mothers, family, fathers, relatives, tribes, kingdoms. The list is infinite
Beautifully written.
2022 and I am learning so much. Thank you elder.
I always herd of his teaching, he is great Like malcolm, a deep. Treacher who makes you think.
I love Mr Clarkes wisdom, truly a teacher
This video made me cry. I love learning the richness of our history . I cried because he was so verse in our history, spoke out of love and gave me greater insight on somethings I have been teaching my son.. Dr. Clarke is like an old relative telling you about something that happened in your childhood that you had a clue àbout but you do not fully understand.
Dr Clark was always on point and I really adore a lot of his teachings. because ironically, it always hold relevance no matter what year. it is this just shows. you how backwards we are that this man made this, did this interview in 1973. 48 years ago and yet nothing has changed. That just go to show you the world that we live in. 🤔🖤💚💛🌟🖤🌟💚🌟💜🤧🐩😭
Almost everything you knew about the world when in relation to politics, culture and philosophy is either based on a lie or ironic to some degree? Rhetoric and dialectics must come back to the front and center to quell the nonsense
I love doctor Clarke. He changed my whole perspective on who I am as a black man in America
"We need to bathe in blackness for awhile, but I wish we'd get the bath over with and go on to something more important. Black is not an ethnic term. Black tells you how you look, but it doesn't tell you who you are." ~ JHK
This is the highest level of consciousness expressed by any human being .Thanks Dr. John Henry Clarke.
Even though I saw this many years ago, it is empowering to review again and again. Keep it in your spirit , your consciousness. More then that.. Do your part..share it with everyone you know.!
The Truth Never Can Be Hide From Reality No Matter How Many Times People Try To Hide It.
...you must relate to culture, history, and time...(I want that book though in my library.)
--Dr. John H. Clarke
After hearing this , I am still of the opinion that we are truly " a great people ", now if we only get together in everything, there would be no stopping us at all ! " Remember, The Dream Is One, One World Africa, Now and Forever !" 😎
So before you heard this you didn’t think we were a great people???
@@mauriceboone7865 no , I did not . A late bloomer I guess. 🙄
Excellent, very informative! Thanks for making this video of the great Dr. Clark available.
Glad you enjoyed it!
This man has spoke to me in a way that makes me know this stuff about history is within you if you care about where are from and curious about your people who you really are matters to more than just me I hope!
Wow this is so important to History!! Thank you Dr Clark
I’ve have watched this so many times. Not to mention I’m old enough to remember the broadcast in New York. When I was a teenager. Love Dr. Clarke

Great knowledge from the master teacher.
A correction is needed for the summary of the video.
In your summary you state that the book is by Clarke but its actually by Rogers. Clarke edited the book.

The concept of race was invented by François Bernier, who published an essay on the subject in 1684.
Henry Clark was right Black is a political term made Poplar in 1968.
What was that essay called
François Bernier, "A New Division of the Earth" From Journal des Scavans, April 24, 1684.
