Thank you. At 11° you'd only get ice, clear and cold is better! I, too, love the vintage to antique jewelry due to its unique and a little bit of history in my hands. Thanks for watching!
I've not heard hack from the other person on the seahorse earrings. I'm asking $35 YT price + $5 shipping. If you're interested, send me an email with your info, and I will invoice you. Thanks! Joanne
Chatelaine. (Shat-uh-lane). Also, on jewelry, monograms that have one large initial in the center, the large center initial is for the surname. The initial to the left is first name, ad the initial to the right can be either a middle initial or, if a woman, her maiden name. On household items (towels, silverware, and such), the initial on the right could be the husband's first name to create a duogram. This lady had a lot of monogrammed jewelry!
Correct - the initial to the left of the middle is either the person's first initial or it could be their husbands initial, which would put the wife's initial to the right of middle.
@TexasCache It depends on who you ask. It's about evenly split about whose initial is first or last. It may be a generational thing, but not (pardon the pun) carved in stone. 😀
I was wondering about it being silver. I saw one of the marked Beau bracelets; their flowers are another thicker with raised detailing. I need to test to see what metal they are. Thanks for the reminder!
Thanks to you, I took another look. In itty-biity small letter on the jump ring there's Beau Sterling on the bracelet, and on one of each earring (the gold ans silver tones) there's a very faint stamp od Sterling with a B. Thanks again for having me take a second look!
I would like to learn more about the plated gold and gold filled jewelry dates to better date my jewelry. Could you give me your reference material for those time periods? I can't find what I'm looking for on Google search. Thank you, and I enjoy your channel very much!
Hi Janette! I read a lot! From internet to jewelry history, and reference books. My favorite is the The Napier Book by Melinda L. Lewis, it's around 1100 pages filled with general jewelry history. There are also several jewelry history websites, ex Lang Antiques or Worth Point (they have an educational section). Hope this helps!
Typically I wouldn't, but two things: 1. I know the owner of the estate company, and he always has "something" good in it as he has a few resellers that come into the sales. 2. Thredup 5lb mix is $71, and GWBB is $57 - two huge gambles in itself. I'm 💯% greatful to subscribers like you so I can offset the cost of my addiction to mystery jewelry jars/boxes.
Hi Gabby - I haven't yet, but it'son my listvof things to do. 😁 Sometimes I feel I need a recovery day for all the things that need to be accomplished over the weekend.

While that's a great idea - that would be one HUGE fairy door! 🤣
I absolutely love your videos, you're my favorite jewelry jar opener.
Awe, that's so kind of you to say! Thanks for watching.

Love the skeletal sea horses. Would love to have them
I have someone already interested in them and a few other items. If they decline, I'll let you know. Thanks for watching!

I believe the dogwood bracelet is silver and is made by Beau. I have the pin and when I researched they had bracelets as well.

The gold thing you thought was money clip is a golf ball marker!
I was wondering if it could be a tee marker. I had one in the past, but it looked very different. Thanks!

Omg $125.00 for 1 jar? I would be so afraid to spend that much. 😱

In the seventies they just drapped themselves in gold chains.
You just had me remember A-Team and Mr. T! 🤣
Did you test the gold chains and were any of them gold? xo
