These flashes of intuition do not occur randomly; they emerge in those actively engaged in a particular pursuit. Take, for example, a pair of twins-one dedicated to solving a medical problem and the other leading an ordinary life. The groundbreaking insight would arise in the one immersed in medical research, not the other. What is uncovered must be tied to the field in which one is deeply involved. This same principle underlies the nature of divine revelation.

    👌👏
Flashes of intuition should not be dismissed: they nourish the soul. We need this nourishment to create meaning and emotional safety.

I believe the claims of the scientists examining ESP in their labs that they have sufficient data to suggest that ESP is real. I think that there is happening some interaction between the subject and the object. This interaction can tell us about the nature of consciousness.

    Beyond “known” systems.
Science does not make any claims about the “physicality” of the electric, magnetic or gravitic fields. The scientific explanation of energy and fields are inconsistent with physicality. The examples of kinetic and potential energy are mere mathematical models used to try and PREDICT observations of matter relationships. The relationship between force and energy, Work, is a mere place name for the substitution of fields. Gravity: potential energy fields, and electric and magnetic fields are in no way physical. Geometry is not a physical “science”, it is a mathematical discipline. Gravitic, electric and magnetic fields are geometric theories. The fact that we try to explain the behavior of physical matter using these geometries is not proof of the physicality of these fields/geometries.
If these fields were physical wouldn’t we be able, by physical means, to control them? Can we control electric and magnetic fields? What about gravity: the potential energy field? Can one energy field interfere with another? Why, if it’s all just “energy”?
    Very enlightening discussion.

Thank you! Our rational mind and logical thinking are based on principle of causality and at the same time this rational background eliminates the randomness from the universe as such. But the cause and effect conjunction that our mind can grasp is really primitive and mechanical that's why the doctrine of karma or quantum reality seems so strange for us. I think the concept of synchronicity is an attempt to expand the quantity of elements that induce the effect or event. For example, the woman in Sydney decided to touch the monument of the admiral Nelson and when she touches the marble of the plinth took place an earthquake. The woman said she believes the coincidence of the earthquake and her forbidden action was not by chance. It's a good example how principle of causality is added by the idea of synchronicity.

It's called data theft, and data analytics, no magic required. "Closer to truth" harvest it's victims personal data, to embed covert psychological warfare hate tactics to target individuals.

In logical terms, synchronicity is an example of the equation: (p^q) -> [(p->q)^(q->p)]. In words, if two things coexist in conjunction, then one implies the other.

@@mikejurney9102 In the case of synchronicity the conjunction between two or more things exist only in mind, but not in reality. It seems to me we can analyse the synchronicity in the terms of the law of sufficient reason.

He completely dismisses the guy's synchronicity example and then gives his own wrong definition.

I think when one considers the trillions of events that take place on a daily basis in one form or another some coincidences, however bizarre they may seem, are bound to occur.

ESP is real. I’ve experienced it personally many times. However, it’s not controllable and seems to me to be a warping of space-time.

I believe that intuition/ESP are real but are beyond any explanation using our conscious minds. They exist in the realm of our subconscious mind thus rational explanations are not possible.

Good for Robert calling this guy out on his nonsense associations. He seems a little too eager to refit the world to map to his preconceived ideology, ignoring the obvious holes in his thinking.

True. In that knowledge isn't something to be shoe horned into ones belief system and if doesn't fit is discared, but the seeker of truth must make themselves receptive of the knowledge. Try climbing mount. Everest without first acclimatizing or go to the bottom of ocean without equalizing.
Skepticism isn't wrong, but if after so long one remains still incredulous then something was a failure.
If not for Seeking truth, acknowledging and living by the principles, than what else is there for man to revolve hislife around.... for it seems many revolve everything around themselves.
Is it fear? Scared of the unknown? Afraid of looking into the oceans abyss when swimming? Is it because none of ones friends are talking about or doing it, and therefore one doesn't bother?
Is it a lack of direction? A lack of conviction? Maybe such a person has cleaved to the consensus for too long.
Just imagine - if there really is an immaterial reality, then you wont be finding the evidence for it in a laboratory. Although everything physical breaks down, having a limited duration, whatever arises in phenomena dies in phenomena, thus why do some people hold on to fallacious hope? What would it mean if we did come to the conclusion that EVERYTHING IS PHYSICAL AND THAT'S ALL THAT IS - the only people i think who cleave to such are those who are haters of truth, they dispise the divine, they've never found themselves yet, therefore do not know where to go, but "out there is so lonely" they rather cleave to a consensus of some sort.
Why there has been great people and great discoveries - they've always remained true to themselves.
