CTA 'L' - Green Line Trains Rerouted via the Loop 'L' - 7/9/23

  • During the weekend of July 8th-9th construction had the Green Line was running in two sections: between Harlem/Lake and the Loop and between 35th-Bronzeville-IIT and the 63rd branches. The Green Line was running via the outer loop while crews worked on track maintenance between Roosevelt and 35th.

    Wtf I've never seen a green line sign that says loop!!! So cool!

      It was introduced during the construction on the 95th branch, when the Red Line took over the Ashland branch, thus leading to a huge amount of trains on the South Side Elevated. To keep from it being overwhelmed, during the rush hours, some Greens from Harlem just circled the Loop and went back.

    Hey Wendy's, enough of the baconator cars, I'm not driving 50 miles to the nearest one, to only find they never resumed normal hours since covid, cheap asses raised the price alright but not the wages, you can only wait in a long drive thru a dozen cars long
