+This is Dan Bell. hey dan you're the best can't wait to see more abandoned places and by the way i think you'll be interested in east gate mall in my city of Indianapolis if its still there
Please please please dont ever stop doing videos like this and all the magnificent work you have on your channel. I've never found videos soo... intriguing and yet so creepy and anxiety ridden. You've made me fall back in love with photography and film making and all I can say is thank you. Your amazing. Stay awesome !
I really love the architecture. It was the first thing that stood out for me when I watched your Unity House video. And that beautiful full size theatre with it's great backstory, is so amazing! I can't wait to see your next vid. Thanks Dan :)
“Unity House” sounds like the headquarters of an obscure 70’s cult. These CRF episodes are sincerely some of my favorites simply because of how much additional info ont he places. Just like Dan, I appreciate it when a place has an interesting story behind it.
I love the commentary explaining everything and also the pictures showing what it used to look like. thanks for another great video. just wish we had huge abandoned places like this in the UK
Looks like someone could invest some time and money and open the doors back up! Thank you for all that you do and go through to bring us entertainment, you are awesome Dan!
As always, I enjoyed the conversational nature of your narration. Also a huge fan of that much historical context being introduced. Looking forward to the next one.
Love your videos! You make them very interesting when you explain their history! They keep your attention! I have to say, of all the channels I watch, yours is my favorite. Great Job!
Hi Dan, love the videos. I like the time you take to look around and the narration. It doesn't feel rushed, like your exploring it yourself. Looking forward to seeing more.
I am pretty amazed the projectors and the seats were still there... I worked at three different theatres in my late teens and into my early twenties... and those three theatres closed at various times and the first things that got taken out was the projector equipment, to be used as parts at other theatres in those projection booths and the seats were sold at auctions for other theatres to be used as spare seats or parts.
+This Is Dan Bell I like all the videos u make. I'm into photography myself, tho I've never put any of my stuff up on the internet.. but watching ur stuff has inspired me to maybe get into making my own channel. thanks alot and please keep em coming :)
Awesome video! Not sure if you are interested or not, but there is an old hotel in downtown Allentown, PA called the Americus Hotel that has been abandoned for years. I know the owner was trying to fix it up, but the plan fell through last year. I've driven past it almost everyday and it's pretty awesome.
1:40 was in the final video! LYING!! ps. I love these. It's one of the few urban exploration channels that actually talks about the history of the place.
I agree with Max,, I love history, and you provide,, now,, just a quick question,, I know , in the 50's and 60's the Poconos , was the hot spot just a guess on how many of these resorts remain, and do you plan to film any more?, again,, thanks
+drfalcon4102 There’s Buck Hills which is abandoned and I’m aching to add to this series. I’m not sure of any other shuttered resorts besides the one’s that I have filmed already. If anyone knows of any, please let me know!
Dan are you going to do a cutting room floor on the Hill Top Hotel? That was so creepy scary GREAT and I would love to hear your background info and things about it!!
Dan, would you ever go to Centralia, PA? It seems to be in your general area and it is amazingly compelling, especially if you are willing to include some contrasting photos resulting from research. And they are readily available online.
+HappyQuailsFarm I thought about it. Just so many people have already done videos there. I may decide to do a video there one day but not anytime soon.
+This is Dan Bell. I recommend. It was like an endless hike through empty streets. Only serves a purpose if you read on it before hand though, or else it's just land.
One thing I have noticed in these urban-explorer videos (not just yours) is the amount of ominously placed chairs. They seem to be placed there specifically. I always wonder why they are in the positions they are in.
Very interesting additional footage to your previous Unity House video. The theatre looked magnificent in it's heyday, all lit up and occupied. So sad that these places should become so needlessly abandoned; they can always be put to some other worthwhile use in my opinion. Being an iconic 1930s building, it should certainly be restored and perhaps used as a conference/ training facility or maybe even a golf/ country club.Did you ever get to explore Mount Airy Lodge?
The big reason for the lack of TV in the rooms was because cable didn't arrive in Lehman township until 1986. It's also on the wrongside of the mountains, so the antenna reception would have been very snowy, not exactly something you would want to present to paying customers.
What an amazing place, and so beautifully shot. Dan- what was the feeling like in there? Seems much less dark and creepy than some of the places you visit...
Could have converted it so we could help the Homeless and Veterans could stay warm get help retrain them and maybe we could save people that's down there luck or help alcohol and drug use could be treated.
The Lescaze Building burned down along with the Rivera murals about 1960. The resort had 3 levels of fees, ILG members, other union members and others. There never was air conditioning. The shows before the big theater was built were down at the lake and Danny Kaye was there before about 1940. You need to correct these errors. I know, I spent 13 + summers there.
Creepy, I'm view 666 You should consider doing a behind-the-scenes video showing how you do all your editing and the actual time it takes you to edit up a 20-30 minute video
yea i hate those tiny theater chairs! how dare they body shame us fatties!! this one is abandon but all the old school theaters that are still operating should change their seats!! *triggered*🤣🤣🥴 no but seriously it kind of reminds me of old school roller coaster cars too that i seen shown on youtube. the seats were suppose to fit two adults but look TINY! trying to get two grown adults in one of those now would probably be awkward and uncomfortable! i guess we truly are a lot huger than back then!!
Gosh, I'm actually liking these cutting room floor episodes as much as the final edits. So glad you decided to start doing these.
+Toppervision1 Thanks.
+This is Dan Bell. hey dan you're the best can't wait to see more abandoned places and by the way i think you'll be interested in east gate mall in my city of Indianapolis if its still there

You've made me fall back in love with photography and film making and all I can say is thank you. Your amazing. Stay awesome !
Awesome video ! this is my favorite of this series so far. The natural decay just gives it that feeling of emptiness and neglect .
That was awesome Dan. Thanks for the cutting room floor and the commentary really pulls it together!

I love these videos Dan.....keep 'em coming. :)
Loved this Dan. Thanks. Yes Dan, do what you were talking about how to shoot some videos. Great idea!
The Diego Rivera murals would have been a diamond if preserved.
Always looking for the next DMS shoot.

Unity House sounds so much like a creepy name for a resort. Like a cult of Peace Core peeps
For some reason I thought it seemed like a former "cult" place too!
Sounds socialist or communist, which as much as the idea of Unions can be a good thing is kinda what it's based on lol

+snookums137 Huh. I didn’t know about that place. I’ll look it up. Wonder if you can get in?
+This is Dan Bell. Not sure about an entry method, but then again I never looked.
Love all your videos!!
I like your pal's MNU 1st Response sweater, mate :)
Also, this place really sets the mood for some Aneglo Badalamenti.
Good Stuff, I liked you discussing how you chose a particular shot, such as not including the 'breathing lens' in the board room.
Hey people, nice video I loved it.
i like the cutting room stuff too
Happy week to you Dan :)
+Emma Amanda Milli Thanks, Emma.
Fab work. I love your channels

5-18-2020 We have Oppenhiemers here in Boise, idaho. Huge family, very wealthy, in fact, have an Arthur Oppenhiemer also. Bet they are related.

Are you in PA? I have a really cool spot in my opinion that I think you should share before it is demolished if it hasn't already.
+ER75Productions Message me on my FB.
Lot of money's worth of stainless steel laying about. I can't believe it hasn't been grabbed!

Hey Dan, what are you shooting with?
Oh, Will has blach hair. I was guessing light brown somehow. Yea, also nice video xDD
