You have SUCH a sense of humour. I found out how painful coffee can be when spewed through the nose. It started when you showed the pigeon and the accompanying falcon comment. Then there's Rick and his shirt, then shopping at Ames. I didn't try drinking my coffee throughout the vid because I know what's good for me. THANK YOU!!!
I know this isn't your cup of tea, but I think this is very interesting work. I like the contaminated water shots and the colors inside the building. Good job!
Great job Dan! I watch a lot of these type of TH-cam videos (Adam the Woo, TikiRex, Decay is on it's way to just name a few) and I must say yours is my favorite. The cool insights, the added personal touch, humor, the selection of music or just letting the sounds of the environment around you serve as the soundtrack,,all tastefully done. I am here cross the bay on the Eastern Shore where there is plenty of cool abandoned spots yet to be discovered.
Abandoned industrial areas are my favorite! It's really cool to see the old structures and remains from a scientific point of view. Sometimes they leave materials behind that....they shouldn't. That's exciting.
omgosh This is Dan Bell I so agree about the industrials. At first I found it earie when I first watched my first urban explorers on the proper people, but it wasn't too creepy, just eerie. And the proper people do, do very well. But the places you go to, maaahn, I'm glued.
On the subject of industrial sites, I'm usually more of a fan of mental hospitals, old apartment buildings, and of course, your hotel and mall videos. But I really enjoyed this one, and I think the right industrial locations can be interesting. Part of it is your filming technique; I can tell you linger on the features within the site that catch your eye, like the giant series of funnels overhead at one point in the video. I find stuff like that visually interesting. Rick seems like a chill dude. I can identify with him; I'm just as fascinated by the possibility of running across something inexplicable as I am a site's history. Well, sorry for the short novel. Great work once again.
Another great video Dan, thanks. I really enjoyed this one because it is an industry I've worked in. I used to be a lab tech at a chemical company and its amazing to see what happens to these places when they are no longer needed, it kinda cool to think of my old lab overgrown with ivy one day.
Hey. Yep I'm one of those who find industrial sites interesting because they are the ghosts of the companies who built our country. Some companies made us better, some harmed us. Thanks for posting it! Good footage btw.
Love that little story on this video of yours about your friend Rick that went into a store with you, pulled out his recording device and started to ask if there's any ghosts shopping, and people around(the alive ones) were saying..."There's no ghosts in here".LOL!!!....super hilarious story, I was laughing so freaking good when I've heard you telling us the story,to all you viewers.
Another great video! BTW...if you are looking for a mall to explore...the Ballston Commons Mall in Arlington VA is open, but is largely abandoned, and is in the process of being converted into an open air Town Center.
I also prefer an abandoned house to an industrial site but, Dan, your videos are so well done that you can make a not-so-interesting place interesting. Nature is really taking that place over; almost as if nature knows it's an unclean location and is in especial need of being reclaimed and cleansed. Looking down that shaft into the dark water made me think of the original novel version of "The Poseidon Adventure" as the dark, oily water was rising through the capsized ocean liner.
I may have said this in a previous video, your laugh is incredible and so infections, my co-worker and myself couldn't stop smiling at your laughs! Its so genuine! Can not wait to see the next scary video you have waiting for us! Take Care, Dan!
Industrial places can be interesting if they leave behind a lot of furniture and equipment and all. We used to have an abandoned mill here, and it was interesting because everything was still there. And the mill had been abandoned so long ago. It was an entire mill town, honestly, but the houses were so bad they were boring. The town was actually restored, and so was the mill.
+308BlackMagic I agree with you there. I haven’t been to an industrial site yet with control rooms and stuff left behind. Every one I’ve been to has been gutted out and stripped clean. Maybe one day.
I wish I had more time to get out and do more videos, but work keeps me busy. I know the feeling of not having something to post. But next year looks more promising. As always , looking forward to your next video & be safe.
Looking forward to Friday. I love how you produce the vids as well as the cutting room floor. Your voice is perfect for these vids. Thank you for taking the time out of your life to post these. :) BTW I believe that was a hybrid rat..with wings from the toxic spill.. haha JK Sorry couldn't help it! lol
what is the other video titled as? ( I'm referring to the "nail biter" video) although i may have already seen it and just forget that i seen it? i enjoy these cutting room floor videos, i enjoy abandoned factory buildings, warehouse buildings, asylums, hospitals, houses, basically i enjoy any abandoned place. It's all interesting to me! btw if u take your buddie from this video with u back to the scary childrens asylum building he should his paranormal equipment with him to possibly capture something.
Please be safe Dan! I know this was a while ago but you should have respirators, good gloves and boots when you go out. This place looks like lead paint city.
Yeah we could tell Rick wasn't very happy. I wondered if he was sick or badly hungover. :) I don't usually look for ghosts but I'm surprised that Rick didn't feel the lingering sense of men at work, dropping things, echoes of their movements from long ago. It was very apparent to me at least. He should have got his EVP out there and asked a few questions. Can't wait till Friday. Quite a teaser.
I'm curious to what the friday video teased about is. This video was released December 7th, 2015 which was a Monday. The video in question would have been released Friday December 11th, 2015.
I like industrial buildings, as long as there is some old equipment left. Ya know, not professionally abandoned. Everyone had to leave right that second, no preparing. you feel me?
I'm not one for industrial locations either. For me, I think it may be the lack of personalisation in those buildings because they are built for a specific purpose only; it is hard to explain. I prefer your residential, leisure and retail videos.
I agree Dan, the Industrial isn't nearly as interesting as the residential. You still do a great job regardless, keep up the good work! BTW, that's a "Columba livia" . :)
2:09 I don't like graffiti but....That's actually pretty artistic. 5:17 Reminds me of Dippin Dots chocolate ice cream. How can something so filthy look so delicious?
If you pour cement over a bunch of toxic stuff buried 40 feet deep couldn't the toxic stuff underneath still leach out into the ground and the ground water? I've always wanted to stay in a hotel built over a toxic waste site.
It is a pigeon. I think people just want to share things they have learned. My sister in law thought there was a bald eagle nesting near her home. She was an osprey.
I love the old industrial buildings. It's a true symbol of why the US is failing right now and why the "glory days" are over. We used to make so many things here! Then big corporations found it was all cheaper to do in China so the factories all left along with all the jobs and the American middle class. Such a bummer. I see pics of when my parents were small and the amazing vacations and things that regular folks used to be able to take, and it was all because of places like this. Now that they're gone, the class divide is so much larger, just super rich and super poor and very little in between.
It was a pigeon. I feed many, many pigeons, and doves and rooks and a lot of sparrows; with an occasional mockingbird and a rare cardinal or blue jay. All of these are harmless, helpless creatures and I love helping them; maybe someone more powerful than I will someday help me do the same thing that I try to help them do, stay alive.
As I said in that pigs feet video, that is the robbed and raped zone of Baltimore. I should know, I was born and raised in it. Also, if you have a kayak or small boat you can easily get on Fort Carroll Island. I have done it several times over the years its easy. Totally worth a video if you ask me.
If I had a boat I definitely would take you. Me and a friend bought a 40 dollar inflatable kayak to get out there, wasn't difficult at all. If you go during the day, don't go up on the top floor, so you don't get spotted. We camped overnight, it was totally awesome. Also, there are a bunch of cool shipwrecks on the nearby Curtis Creek worth checking out.
+Sir Arnold I think anything inflatable this time of year is a bad idea. I heard about those shipwrecks. I should head over there and shoot some of them.
I laughed when Dan Bell talked about Rick bringing the ghost box to the mall. "Is there anyone that's still shopping?" Lol!
+carole Hayden Lolll. Thanks, Carole!
Industrial abandoned fan here. I find them fascinating how things were made with yesterdays tech.
Having you do those I consider a bonus. :)
That pigeon only wishes it was a falcon. LOL!
+308BlackMagic Its always preferable to be on the top of the food chain.
+308BlackMagic It could be inside a falcon someday!
It is, but pigeons haven't been wiped out by others, so they are succesfull in what they do. However they do it..
I know this isn't your cup of tea, but I think this is very interesting work. I like the contaminated water shots and the colors inside the building. Good job!
You're a good man for giving us these videos every week.
Abandoned homes are by far the most interesting. Being able to delve into someones past by what they left behind is fascinating.
Did Rick find any ghosts in the old shower? *pulls out audio recorder* "Is there anyone here that's still showering? Have you dropped the soap?"
I love these Cutting Room Floor videos! I enjoy your commentary, and it gives us an insight into your creativity.
Can't wait til you release that video Friday brother!
+PrimeSneakers It’s a nail biter to end all nail biters.
+LakeNipissing I returned to film the other parts of the building I didn’t get when I originally visited. Wish I hadn’t.
+This is Dan Bell. Fucking hell dude. That last sentence is the definition of cliffhanger/bait ever. Probs bruv.
What i really liked about the building is the amount of vegetation growing there.
All of your laughing made me laugh. Thanks for sharing!
SO pumped for Friday!

I'm so excited for this scary video today. It's weird; I'm hardly ever this excited about TH-cam videos.
Another great video Dan, thanks. I really enjoyed this one because it is an industry I've worked in. I used to be a lab tech at a chemical company and its amazing to see what happens to these places when they are no longer needed, it kinda cool to think of my old lab overgrown with ivy one day.
Can anyone please tell me which video he's referring to? The one with the pigs feet.
I think this one was pretty cool! Especially 5:25 onwards and the room with the plants on the floor.
so much information and awesomeness, looking forward to Friday .
Hey. Yep I'm one of those who find industrial sites interesting because they are the ghosts of the companies who built our country. Some companies made us better, some harmed us. Thanks for posting it! Good footage btw.
Cool, I'm looking forward to the new videos specialy the Rolling Acres.
I cannot wait for Fridays video!! Dan is the man!!
Great video Dan! I recall the Pemco fire , it caused quite a commotion down there due to it's proximity to JHU. Looking forward to the next one:)
Pleasseeee do a commentary with Rick haha!!
I love your videos of old creepy places! Can't wait to see your Friday video also!
Another great video!
BTW...if you are looking for a mall to explore...the Ballston Commons Mall in Arlington VA is open, but is largely abandoned, and is in the process of being converted into an open air Town Center.
Hey Dan, it's the whilte and silver-wood-arrow pigeon ! Pigeanus blancitis
Lmao!!! Is there anyone here still shopping? That's hilarious!!!

+This is Dan Bell. Yeah, you're bound to get lucky eventually. I've seen one several years ago. It is really cool. You'll be in heaven.
Another awesome one i really like the cutting room videos thanks ....!
That's a falcon 4 sure lol! love you video dan! your the best!
Actually, that's a bald eagle hybrid!
Where is the video? I can't wait!
I love your sense of humor :♥
You have the best laugh!
I wish I had more time to get out and do more videos, but work keeps me busy. I know the feeling of not having something to post. But next year looks more promising. As always , looking forward to your next video & be safe.
Certain industrial areas can be interesting.. like old car factories
Excellent video as usual!
Looking forward to Friday. I love how you produce the vids as well as the cutting room floor. Your voice is perfect for these vids. Thank you for taking the time out of your life to post these. :) BTW I believe that was a hybrid rat..with wings from the toxic spill.. haha JK Sorry couldn't help it! lol
You are correct that is a pigeon! Had to do it. Great videos thanks!

Every time I hear your opening theme I think of a Black Sabbath/Seinfeld theme mash-up.
Please be safe Dan! I know this was a while ago but you should have respirators, good gloves and boots when you go out. This place looks like lead paint city.
Oh that's a pigeon! Actually no it's a falcon ! 😂
It's funny how a detail can become the most interesting thing about a video.
lmao bald eagle hybrid. Keeping 'em coming Dan, I appreciate all the hard work you put into these videos! \owo/
It's not a pigeon, it's a horse. haha
What's your name? What's your quest? What's the airspeed velocity of an unladen pigeon?
Dan's first meme "That's not a pigeon, thats a _______". Get to work Internet, fill in that blank!
Yeah we could tell Rick wasn't very happy. I like watching the exploring abandoned industrial places there's usually more to see compared to houses or hotels, surprised you find it more bland.
cant wait for next video.
is there anyone here that is still shopping
LMAO
What happened to the pigs feet video? That was one of my favorite videos of yours.
Fukitol, I can't wait for Friday's video!
127 views and 16 likes and 3 comments. Love your videos!
Will you be going to Forest Haven Asylum in laurel MD?
I'm not one for industrial locations either. For me, I think it may be the lack of personalisation in those buildings because they are built for a specific purpose only; it is hard to explain. I prefer your residential, leisure and retail videos.
do you ever have offers from people to see places that you have to fly to
That sir, is a talking parrot 🦜
Again - just awesome - you need to be on TV
I agree Dan, the Industrial isn't nearly as interesting as the residential. You still do a great job regardless, keep up the good work! BTW, that's a "Columba livia" . :)
stop teasing. your videos are awesome. wish I could do stuff like this.
I am interested in abandoned industrial areas.
2:09 I don't like graffiti but....That's actually pretty artistic.
5:17 Reminds me of Dippin Dots chocolate ice cream. How can something so filthy look so delicious?
I dunno why, but that intro reminds me soooo much of Better Call Saul's :)
Industrial sites are often not too interesting ... Malls are still the best, and fancy hotels, theaters, restaurants ... Oh, and hospitals!
I really like your videos ^-^/ (btw...you know Josh?! :3♡ )
If you pour cement over a bunch of toxic stuff buried 40 feet deep couldn't the toxic stuff underneath still leach out into the ground and the ground water? I've always wanted to stay in a hotel built over a toxic waste site.
Yep. That is why when they build landfills they put down several lays of clay, drainage systems, and a rubber liner on top of all of that.
3 dislikes it must be the pigeons
Or mice
Yeah I want to get my water from an area with a former lead dump on it.......guarantee you the cleanup will be superficial at best.
I like Rick, never met him but he seems like a really cool guy.
It is a pigeon. I think people just want to share things they have learned. My sister in law thought there was a bald eagle nesting near her home. She was an osprey.
that looks like a lab that did strength testing on like concrete
What are you using to shoot?
Your right Dan' this is lame....GOOD LUCK.FINDING OTHER CREEPY ABANDONED HOUSES AND RESORTS. LOVE YOUR VIDS.
Omgosh I knew it was a bald eagle hybrid!!!
nope nope is a rare dodo bird lol
3:01 the ames at the front door was unlocked
Rick is a legend
What video is he talking about...pigs feet and scary?
Looked for a bit and went though older videos. The next one is just a dead mall video.
oh and... technically.......... Pigeons are Doves.
+Frossiart Haha! See?!
This is Dan Bell., YEP, YOU'RE RIGHT, but I was just jazzing you for giggles :D
+Frossiart don't church it up, lol!
Dustin Bruce , I'm not, it's true. I used to have 2 aviary's and raised birds so I know a lot about them.
+Frossiart I believe you, my stepdad raised them for years. I just wanted to use that line for a long time.
It’s a pterodactyl
I love the old industrial buildings. It's a true symbol of why the US is failing right now and why the "glory days" are over. We used to make so many things here! Why the thumbs down? Whoever did that, piss off. I love these videos:)
it was the pigeons
Or the falcon, because it was compared to a f---ing stupid pigeon
Stop stepping on my balls. LOL
YAAAAY scary vids! Uploaaad!
It was a pigeon. I feed many, many pigeons, and doves and rooks and a lot of sparrows; with an occasional mockingbird and a rare cardinal or blue jay. All of these are harmless, helpless creatures and I love helping them; maybe someone more powerful than I will someday help me do the same thing that I try to help them do, stay alive.
laura alexander NO! It's a FALCON!
pigion
Dan you are destined for greatness. Keep up the good work. Fuckitall. lol
I swear that pigeon looks like a falcon...
3:18 amassing room, pro vid.

Dan have you ever thought about meeting up with some other explorers? Maybe TheProperPeople?
+Jakub Sweder It will be happening. Stay tuned.
+This is Dan Bell. I like that answer
