  • Exhausted from getting stuck and winching numerous times we enter our worst obstacle yet, a humongous swamp. The weeds make it almost impossible to get any traction so we decide to cut through the bush...which isn't the best place for a big wide SXS.

    That looks sweet. I love a good challenge in my xp1k. Especially with a good big group like that.

    • @TrailRider

      It would have been much more fun with good tires, the XP1K is a beast!

    That would not of been fun at all in my opinion. I wonder how those track kits would have done in that shit.

    Takes a special kind of person to enjoy that bullshit

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah, I know what you mean. When I was in the middle of that rally I kept telling myself that I must have some sort of mental illness because normal people don't do stuff like this for fun. But then you finish and you tell yourself, hey it wasn't that bad. And then you end up doing it again next year.

      +Sask Trail Riders I understand. I've said I wouldn't go back to some places. Of course I did

    Wow man...No thank you...:) I'll stick to my deserts and high-mountain trails.

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's the neat thing about ATVing, it can drastically change depending on where you are on the map. No deserts here or mountain trails but I am hoping to go mountain riding in 2017. Thanks for watching.

    Man that some nasty stuff for sure .Also by watching that is the very reason i never not have a power saw with any group we go out as min 3 saws it pays .

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I have never carried a saw with me but I can see the advantages of it. I may have to look into it. Thanks for watching and commenting.

    Good set of Outlaws definitely would have took care of this problem.

    2 things...I'm not sure how you and Trent remain friends as he ditched you in the bush..LOL!!!jks Secondly...the swamp was a shit show and should have had a go around, but man you sounded angry bro!

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +CanAmXTP I was a little upset at the time but when you finally make it through you start to say "maybe it wasn't that bad". I think I ditched Trent actually, he was behind me and we got separated in the bush. I just wanted out.

    Taking a side by side muddling is like making a paraplegic climb Mount Everest, it just doesn't work.

    • @MrFireline55
      @MrFireline55 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      There still not good at it. I've seen plenty of examples.

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      +506 Offroadin That doesn't make sense. Mudding is just traction and clearance, if you've got both your mudding. If you say sxs's can't mud, you have to say Jeeps and lifted trucks can't either and I've seen plenty that prove that wrong.

    • @MrFireline55
      @MrFireline55 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sask Trail Riders They are not very good at it in comparison to atvs.

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      This was the ride that convinced me to put the Terminators on. I still think I would have got stuck, just not as often. Probably would have broke an axle too.

  • @sxscustom

    why did u change from the rzr to the commander?

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Fantastically Dillon I'm assuming you mean from the Commander to the RZR. I held onto the Commander because of the rear seat. I had a dream that my family would come riding with me but I had to let that go. The RZR is 25 more horse power, more clearance, more suspension travel and generally more sporty than the Commander. There is lots more I could say on this topic but the RZR is superior in pretty much every way (remember the Commander is 6 years old). Once the X3 becomes more affordable I'll head that direction because I am still a Can Am guy at heart.

    • @sxscustom
      @sxscustom 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Sask Trail Riders. we live in Manitoba canada. we all have our opinions on what we prefer. i like can am but have been a polaris guy most my life. i guess if can am came out with a locking front diff i would probably go that way to

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      +Fantastically Dillon That's a common complaint from many about Can Am, I've never had an issue with front wheels not locking but no doubt Polaris does it better.

    • @TrailRider
      @TrailRider  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If you had asked me right after the rally I would have said it was horrible and I'll never do it again. Funny how with some time it doesn't seem that bad. In fact I may consider going back next year.
