They were friends before Sam imprisoned Dream so that is technically correct. Dream let Sam build the prison for him and Sam accepted it, if he didn't like the idea he would of denied it etc. Dreams been out for a while so we dont really know how their relationship in the lore is now (obviously outside the lore they are good friends).

I could say that Dream could have treated Sam much worse considering he allowed Quackity to torture him, but he didn't.
Sam got steak instead of the rotten flesh/potatoes Dream said he would give him, even gets a cake as well as a clock to tell the time, and once again instead of hitting him when he was angry that he lied, just gave him steak and left after that, not to mention Sam only spent one week in prison.
While you could argue that he did all those things so Sam can give the keyboards, you can't tell me it isn't odd that Dream treated Sam better than Sam ever treated him in prison.

It happened two days before this one, and plus, I’m not sure if it was canon in this timeline.
(All those Wilbur streams were based off Hitting on 16, a timeline created as it diverged from canon during the jailbreak, it focuses around Wilbur’s story, and the finale of that timeline was tommy being free.)

Been wondering when it would happen actually. The Egg had attempted long ago to get him to turn over, but it didn't work. And Quackity even tried to appeal, expressing that passive and emotional attitudes don't get one far. I am surprised that he's working with Dream, but they do happen to share a similar goal/dislike/hate. Foolish doesn't share Quackity's ideals or morals, and Dream has a score to settle from being tortured. Foolish could probably not LIKE Dream, but be able to deal with him to accomplish a project that will satisfy them both. It's similar to the whole thing between Technoblade and Dream, but much more business-like than being chaotic pals.
Yeah and he just hides behind Dream. He even said Dream could choose, c!Foolish only cares about himself.

I remember reading somewhere that Dream actually switched to holding his pickaxe a tiny bit before Sam confirmed that c!Quackity tortured Dream (reminding Sam of Dream's threat to take his last lives)
However, in this video, you can tell they cut part of the clip because at 12:10 dream was right outside of Foolish's vision and at 12:14 he's back in. Maybe it was in the original vod? I'm not sure.
I'm not sure why I commented this but I think it is an interesting detail.
As for the comments asking why Sam is agreeing with Dream? Dream, before killing him, threatened Sam that he would hunt him down and take every single one of his lives if he told anyone that Dream killed him before letting him leave the prison. In my opinion, he's scared of Dream, simple as that.

It's pretty interesting. On the one hand, we have Dream who is mysterious and manipulative. And then there's foolish who is desperate because he let his selfishness get the best of him. He excuses his actions by saying he 'has no other choice' and makes himself feel better by having dream do the dirty work.

Some people think c!Foolish is a horrible person and absolute trash on earth cause he's implied to have murdered people in the past. Which is fine, and completely justified in its own right, but I don't care.
He's cool. His builds are pretty. And he's very chill and underrated. He's shown to have been trying to atone for his mistakes, and make up for all of it. And he doesn't get enough credit for the amount of carrying he had to do for this server's inactivity.
I will always stand by c!Foolish no matter what. This man crawled so everyone else on the server could run.

Can we notice that every time c!Dream comes to c!Sam he backs up. Which I'm hoping will add up to lore later on on the Dream SMP. But heres a theory:
"c!Sam is scared of c!Dream because he LITERALLY drove a pickaxe in his face, and because c!Sam is being manipulated by c!Dream by death, fear, guilt and c!Sam barely has anyone left. So that might explane why c!Sam is doing everything c!Dream says. Hes a puppet without strings, trapped in his own actions with noone to save him. Even if he tries to excape... where would he go.... The perfect toy for c!Dream, one with no hope, no more happiness and one that will never try to escape."

Dream is deffo implicitly threatening Sam with death, idk about the rest of that though. Also Sam definitely feels bad about supporting the torture of dream in the prison (when he put his head down cuz Dream mentioned it), so that's a factor in why Sam behaves that way.
Sam also has burned all his bridges to be warden. He doesn't have Bad, or Ant, or Ponk, or anyone but Quackity (maybe). That doesn't leave him with much leverage

also explaisn jschlatt's initial cruel and spiteful attitude from the getgo. the main thing about jschlatt is that he's unanimously seen as nothing but a villain by everyone. unlike characters like sam or foolish who are morally grey but really good people at heart, jschlatt is pure evil with no redeeming qualities. it makes sense that he was always like that because he was the first holder of the book.
Lore of how much I have missed it
Ever since I saw this stream, I had two theories for people who could possibly save Quackity. One, and the most likely, Sapnap because I mean, who else? Then two, although this is a long shot, and a risky theory, that probably won’t happen, if slimecicle somehow comes back as a ghost and saves him. Idk

Ok, now I am confused after quackitys lore stream. Why did foolish help quackitys by releasing the slime army?
Foolish now has 2 "allies" and no enemies (Quackity AND Dream) He's basically got himself free deaths/souls from dreamXD while not putting himself in the crossfire. He both helped & betrayed them. He basically just got the best out of this deal for himself

- Quackity believes Foolish tried to save him aka: not an enemy
- I'm pretty sure Quackity pays Foolish too (The dude loves gold man)
And next to that, he's gained "2" souls for dreamXD:
c!Purpleds + C!Quackity. Possibly even more if you also count the "slimes".

Why didn't he tell him that he too tortured tommy into almost committing suicide??? Why didn't he speak up about dream killing him and saying that he just wanted the dream book knowledge to help bring people back, while dream only wants it to bargain and control people?!?
