Awesome, and can't wait to see what you do with the plotter, you're going to have so much fun. One of your first jobs should be to order a couple of spare servos, so when the first inevitably dies you don't have to wait for a new one to arrive.
Wow that fountain pen and ink gave you such consistent flow. I can't believe that came out that well. That's just incredible. Also, that's a lot of cycles on the lift servo. I wonder if you can mark the pen and the holder on the Axidraw in a way to make it easy to remove, refill, and replace the pen if needed? That way you could be sure to get the height and rotation identical.
I couldn't believe it myself, but it was perfect first time. I think an easier way for refilling the pen, which I do sometimes is to add "calibration dots" to the plot. You split the plot into a few separate SVG files, but have a couple in each corner in the same place for each one. You then put a small patch of tape on the paper where the dots will go, then plot the dots to make sure everything is aligned. Marking the pen for height and rotation could be a good idea though, I mean the more things the better.
Love the videos you put out. I just ordered my first iDraw and am getting into plotter art! Do you have a video where you go over which fountain pens/ink/paper etc you like to use?
I may have mentioned composition a few times, but I thought it'd be fun to show some of the thinking that goes into a project.
Came for the plotter, stayed for the fxhash project idea

@@revdancatt That's a brilliant solution.

Coming soon! Not yet, but in the next few weeks I'm going to start putting things out.
