When KVD first came onto the Bass Tournament Scene, he was a spinnerbait fisherman, I remember watching him fish with Shaw Grigsby on a fishing show, Kevin had the front but moved over to allow Shaw up front and Kevin just blew Shaw away with pinpoint cast and the speed his fished the spinnerbait, you could tell that's how he prefers to fish his spinnerbaits! I hadn't seen anyone fish that fast before! KVD soon became the man to beat on the Pro Tournament Trail! I kinda changed the way I fish spinnerbaits too! KVD turned into one of the more Versatile Professional Fishermen in the Pro Bass Tour a younger Rick Clunn or Roland Martin? Before he retired! KVD could sling it!
This video is from 2007. I would say he prob uses flouro now. But mono works good when you’re pulling the bait away from the fish and barely hooking them

Never put mono on anything here in AZ, it gets ruined in a month. Would you zuri hybrid work?
Kastking Tripolymer mono is the best I've used..lasts much longer & has very little memory w/low stretch
