you can actually skip the cruising part of those driving missions if you so wish (found this out myselt recently). just drive quickly far ahead of the npc and they'll tell you where youre meant to go on the map
Wow really I had no idea that’s super useful I still play the game to this day it’s just fun to me. So that’s interesting I can’t believe I never tried that myself as that was the worst part of game for me is following those npcs haha they drive slow
@@agentnukaz1715 same here. I got the click remap kit from extreme rate and now I can't cruise cuz I have to keep feathering. good thing I don't use brakes in the game tho and it makes it miles easier with the clicks to engage a drift using the gas
Honestly to me NFS Heat is a A tier NFS, definetlly the best one of the modern nfs games, so disappointed with Unbound, it was alright, but heat just did it better imo. To me, heat is so close being at S, just fix the damage system (atleast make the damage more consistent or let us take more damage to ram cops back), better soundtrack, and a longer complete story, NFS would easily get that S tier spot.
I make it S tier because honestly, I've never put so much time into NFS post story. NFS wasn't always if ever like this. Once you finish the story, that's really it unless you go back and complete the other races
Have to respectfully disagree, the physics in NFS Heat for grip setups were God-awful and they fixed that in Unbound. Made a world of difference to me because I loathe tap to drift
IDK man, Unbound has better gameplay regarding the second to second racing. Grip/Drift with strategies in between depending on the physics of the individual car rather than e-braking every time like you did with NFS Heat. Burst NOS which allowed for further tactical use and sense of speed, more health to actually combat the cops, they aren't a joke in Online pursuit races. Though I wasn't enamored with the singleplayer, it started strong with that intro with actual stakes and narrative twists but it completely fumbled it as it dragged out far too long. And oh, it looks FANTASTIC day and night, I really love the style too. Though that's a subjective take.
The traffic is what gets me in this game. They ALWAYS have two cars lane by lane in every single fucking turn or drift and then theres those big ass white trucks that looooooove to stop directly in front of you (long ways ofc) and the fact npcs really just come out of nowhere in the most infuriatingly bad spots.
I reckon the NPC traffic is designed to spawn on the to be traversed optimum path! With my reflexes, I bet they could have done better to save those patients on those ambulances!
I came from playing Midnight Club as a kid and found that the barriers in Need For Speed to be infuriating. I liked choosing my own path to a checkpoint. It also makes the map feel closed in and less of an open world.
To each their own, but I think open world is good but for after the race (eg police chase and stuff); not having a designated route for a race seems to defeat the purpose of "racing" at its core.
taking a variety of routes in Midnight Club is the best part, especially the city dashes without any checkpoints. that being said, i also played way more NFS:MW back in the day instead of MC3, so maybe i didn't care that much either way lol.
City expansions, cars, and side stories would’ve been awesome. Like they could’ve added whole other sections North or West of the map and a stories about neighboring crews with added cut scenes.
This is one of the better NFS games within this past decade. The customization is very much improved compared to NFS: Payback's card system. The only thing i wish Heat had was more time to flush out the story. For example, i really wanted to know what else happened to Shaw or even Mercer. Still, i enjoyed this racing game after not playing one in soo long lolz. ❤
Yeah, really left me wanting more on the story. Torres should be a subject of a sequel, at the very least. EA finally got it right with most stuff on NFS, and it was really enjoyable.
Actually using the drift mechanic you can tap the gas and use brake in the middle of the turn to turn sharper but handbrake is useful in tight 90 degree or more turns
I remember playing nfs heat on ps4 and i think its one of the few nfs games that was pretty good, the story was good and kinda made me feel for the characters and the fact that they mixed it with racers good and cops bad was the cherry on top, the car list was pretty decent and the ranking system between day and night races was great it's pretty much risk/ reward, however the first time i played it i wasn't a fan of having aggressive cops chasing me as if they're trying to destroy my car rather than chase me and try to box me like in nfs most wanted it was kinda rough, but after some practice on the escape routes and safe zones i got the hang of it, the music was lack luster i was surprised that there's no rock music.
i don't know what but there is something in Heat, that is missing in Unbound. i mean i can't describe it but i feel it when i play the games. Heat gave me more of NFS Carbon vibes, escpacially during night racing i felt major NFS Carbon vibes, and closed circuit racing in those dock yard with containers gave me nfs prostreet vibes. so in all i feel right at home when i play Heat, Unbound..... well not so much. Now this is my opinion (if you wanna disagree plz politely do so) but Heat is one of the better NFS of this franchise it is for me in the top 10. Handling was an issue for me at times, bcz of the handling model, but over all i like it more then Unbounds Grippy handling model. Graphically i think Unbound did it better in some areas, Map wise it's a tie, both of them can be equally confusing and fun at times. Cops are superior in Heat and give of vibes of NFS MW 2005 in this re guard. if we all remember that before we knew hiding spots were a thing in need for speed mw 2005, we made strategies to avoid cops or to evade, you have to do the same in Heat. High level cop chases are extremely fun and challenging. Unbounds cops were a pain in the ass and were annoying beyond comprehension , i didn't like cops in Unbound felt boring and lazy, kinda like the cops of NFS Undercover during the early stages of the career. However even in Undercover when cops switch to Sate Cruisers , Porsche 911 Turbo's and Nissan GTR's they can give you a tough time to evade them. As for the car list both have awesome car list and the choices are vey good. NFS never disappointed in this re guard. the car lists are always good or excellent. even Undercover which was heavily panned by players and critics alike mentioned the great car list of the game Sense of speed in Heat is very good, you actually feel the car is going fast and above 200 mph feels FAST! by all accounts. Unbounds sense of speed resembles Undercover in this re guard slow and feels slow, even going above 200 mph feels okay and not well good. Heat's sense of speed camera resembles NFS Prostreet and The Shift series. Remember how the camera used to shake voilently when accelerating at neck break speeds, heat camera feels pretty similar. Overall, i would rate Heat a 7/10, the three marks that are cut are bcz of the fact that the story is short and it nds fairly quickly.. Handling sometimes feel's out of place and sometimes feels to forced. sometimes the game get's confused as you wanna drift or grip. this game made find need for speed fun and engaging again. the most fun i ever had after The Black Box era games,
I think 7/10 is a fair grade I didnt play unbound purely because something just feels off so I didnt want to buy it! I agree heat is a solid NFS entry Idk where Id rank it I'd have to sit down and think about it
You're right on the money with that comment on the sense of speed. No other modern game I've seen has that, and I find it really disappointing because I dislike pretty much everything else in Heat.
@@PastelKenshi Impoved graphics, better handling and tuning, more engine swaps and unlocked hidden customization options are some of the improvements. Basically a fan-made update for Heat
i bought Unbound at full price, finished the story, did online and tried out cars did everything, even got the new m2 and taycan. but for some reason i'm still clung onto Heat, something about it was just better, one thing that really bothers me is the car sounds in Unbound are so quiet compared to Heat, but nonetheless i think Heat was the closest to being almost perfect in the recent years of NFS games..
I honestly wish they give this game a big update and add a few more cars on here and add other missions on here tbh. Nfs heat is a good game tbh. Its not boring to me lol i enjoy racing people on here
I was most disappointed in the fact that they threw a blower on a camero and not only do you not get that car. But you can't even put one on your own car
I usually just tap the gas whenever i do a drift on corners. Handbrake has a much stronger effect on cornering, I only use it when I need to slow down quickly.
I finally was able to enjoy a need for speed game as much as I enjoyed Need for speed Most Wanted. It brought back a lot of awesome re-play activities. Especially the speed traps and the spike strips. I really loved this game a lot. The music really lacked tho. They should’ve brought back the metal/rock from the underground series.
As a Brazilian, I identify a lot with the soundtrack (the producer is Brazilian). Maybe the sounds didn't connect to you, but I bet they connected with latin community which is a big if not the biggest part of Miami culture. The saddest part to me is that the game is clearly half-baked. It had a lot of potential to beat MW2005 as the best game of thr franchise in my opinion, but there's something lacking in every single feature of the game.
6:43 Fun Fact: when you’re in a mission where you have to follow someone, if you wait around 10 sec you’ll receive the position of where you’re supposed to go. That way you can drive faster and reach the location quicker
Heat had a very good base. The Physics were okay, hampered by clipping problems on Highspeed Turns, but overall decent to drive. The Story was cringe and disappointing, but the brilliant Cop Chases made up for it. Sadly there's just nothing to do after you got your desired cars and upgrades, as races are always against the same opponents and feel too repetitive. If the AI would just adapt to your car's level, that would help a lot to switch up races. And there's online. My unpopular opinion is, and it's a very spicy one, this game's community is filled with cowards. Nobody ever tries a different race, just the usual 5 races with barely any technical sections, so the fastest car usually wins. Especially the Stadium. I know it's probably also because people need to grind, but still, nobody ever joins a race, and if they do, guess what, they pull up in the RSR or another of the OP cars at 400+. Even if I start with a 200 or 300 tier car. So the online racing sucks. In Nighttime I'm usually on my own. Sometimes I see someone, but they never join a race. And I checked if they had Cops chasing them, or if their cars are competitive! Really urging to say something about the bravery of the community, or lack of it.
To be honest Heat checked all the boxes to becoming the best NFS games but the lack of updates and content killed it ngl the game is pretty fun online and cop chases also make up for it but what criterion shouldve done is that they should've given Heat more and more big updates and released the next nfs games a bit late lets say if a new NFS game is launched in 3 years then they shouldve released Unbound after 4 years but thats just my opinion.
I personally try not to rate single player games by updates just because I think we do that too much now comparing them to live service like old games didnt have updates always they were just good. But I do think Heat is a really good game just the music and story was meh for me
I mean, it's not up to Criterion to decide that. Whether they like it or not, EA owns them & acts as their publisher. Whether a game gets updates (& how much of it) or if a new game's development is being pushed, that all depends on EA's whims. Heat was developed by Ghost btw, which for some reason, EA dissolved & merged with Criterion (probably to cut operating cost due to EA's unrealistic expectations on expenses vs profits) For instance, EA is also moving Criterion to developing Battlefield despite them being a race game developer first & foremost. Leaving Unbound on as little life support as they possibly can. The same could be said for any other game that are made by other studios owned by EA. There is a reason why C&C died. The Sims is the way it currently is, and current Bioware.. Is the way it currently is lol.
I have no complaints the music worked, the story was really good imo and the car list was next to perfect, the grind for better parts was fun, police chases on edge af, building any car for any purpose was fun af too
The sheer tension and adrenaline I felt at times in Hot Pursuit Remastered blew my mind guys, I'd be shouting at the screen and masssively invested in each race. Does this feel like that at all?
Once I brought the mustang gt and fully customized it I only go out at night it’s so fun toying with cops and getting into CRAZYYYYYYYYYY police chases. And bro omg when the story ended I was like that’s it I couldn’t believe it was over that quick
This game is a masterpiece. I don’t mind playing my own music, and I like the lack of crowds (I feel like a pos when I run people over in Unbound) I wish this game had support like Unbound does… I like Heat so much better
I really do hope that the team at criterion goes back and makes a next generation port of need for speed heat to fix some of the issues that the game has when playing on a next generation console because I don’t really know how to explain it, but it’s like the game loads in assets too fast and prioritizes loading in the wrong assets at the wrong times
best way to lose the cops if jumping into water and when it respawns you just reverse and drive off. the cops dont move either and they just stay in the same spot and are completely clueless i dont know if it works when you have 2+ cops on you but it does work when youre in early stages of a chase
While my favorite NFS game of all the next gen games other that Unbound is Heat, I will say my most critiqued thing about Heat and Unbound is the 24/7 wanted system. Anything after heat level 2 on these games is just borderline bullying. For instance I remember I had around 60-80k banked up one night in Unbound… after the race that I declared would have been the final race for the night, I earned an additional two stars, bringing my heat level to5 stars… you can guess what happened at this point. Needless to say I was pretty pissed, I really wanted them to either get rid of that system for future games or at the least tweak the cracked out a.i. I’ve been around street racing for years, and never have a once seen cops act that aggro over someone doing 20 over in a riced out Civic. While every other aspect in Heat/Unbound is superior to previous games, that’s why I still say that personally NFS UndGrd2 is the best. Underground 2 was the best overall in my opinion. Im just glad that NFS is starting to pull away from that TFAF action movie bs they were pulling a few games ago. Anyway that’s my hot take, thanks for joining my Ted Talk. 🖤
@@Brayzon Yeah just in general from someone with irl street racing knowledge and experience, the cops do not that go that hard over racers lol… you may see a few squad cars. But at most they’ll case the slowest car or whatever. But helicopters, trucks, swat vans are just insane lmao. But it’s a video game so I guess I get it lmao, but yeah once you own some S+ hyper cars it’s not bad at all, but anything less and it’s basically torment to try to get away.
Bought this game three days ago, it is ridiculously hard to win a race, even if you are around the recommended car level there is always this one or two guys that take off like a mile away from the rest of the racers and is almost impossible to catch, I was playing in hard then in medium difficulty and still
No I definitly know what your talking about it’s most definitly a thing if you let those two guys take off they just bolt and leave everyone else if left to their own devices it’s not a deal breaker but keeps you on your toes for sure once you upgrade past recommended it should become easier and that won’t happen as mutch but yea it’s a thing for sure that happend to me a good amount
To comment on the game’s physics: I understand that NFS is an arcade racing game, but modern NFS including Heat has problems with it’s physics, that aren’t directly related to realism. If I had to narrow it down to 1 thing, I’d say the game doesn’t let you carry enough momentum around corners. In racing games, arcade or otherwise, fast cornering is about conserving as much momentum as possible from the start to the end of the corner. In NFS heat, as well as unbound and others, Grip handling has way too much understeer, so you have to slow down a lot more than it feels like you should. On the other hand, drift handling gives you the turning angle to make it around corners, but unfortunately, when drifting the game cuts off a lot of your speed, even if you’re not braking, so even if you have a fast entry, and the angle to make the turn, you will lose a lot of speed anyway. Other less-than-realistic racing games, including games in the NFS franchise, have had better handling models, which give you a good sense of momentum through turns. Even in ‘realistic’ games, there is a better sense of speed going around corners, because you can hold on to more momentum.
I'm at level 20 right now and I really like the game. I like the driving, the music, the missions and I can outrun or lose the cops most of the time. I've been busted like 3 times in total.
People complaining about the music open Spotify while your playing now that our current consoles can do that you people haiting especially when need for speed heat brought everything back about street racing
I just finished the Story in this Game and I felt like it ended abruptly. I mean just when I felt like the Real Threat had been revealed to us the Story just ended.
Overall I really liked the game. It felt a bit old school which is great. But some of the biggest problems that I had with it is first: I don't like how every time when I want to play a different type of race, other than the regular ones, I have to go back to the garage to change all my parts in order to drift or race off-road. Then go back again and change them so I can race in the normal races. But even worse is that when I change everything for drifting and then during the drift the police start to chase me, then it's almost impossible to lose them with the drifting gear. You just swerve everywhere all the time. Unless you know the tricks of losing the cops there is no getting away from them. It would've been nice if before every race there is an option to choose a part loadout or pre-set instead of having to go to the garage everytime (which still doesn't help with losing the cops after the race). Especially at night when you can't fast travel. Second: I really don't like when games don't give you the option to start a new game. I've played a few games like that over the years and it sucks that I have to either delete all my saves or make a new account in order to start anew. But as I said, overall, these problems aren't that big of a deal and I mostly enjoyed the game and 100 percenting it.
Have you tried going to the part shop? That's the only fix i have but it isn't permanent due to not being able to fast travel at night. Although i found a bug where i can fast travel even at night.
You can change the parts you have equipped in the pause menu any time, just go to the garage tab and hit performance. You have to own the parts, but I own all sorts of different suspension and tires so that I can switch on the go.
Bro no f****** way it's been 4 years!? Dude it's still on my back catalog, I own it and I haven't even downloaded yet there's no way I haven't played this game for 4 God damn years!! I refuse to leave I am this old!!
It doesn’t need 600 cars like forza 200 would be enough and heats car list is already really really good and good visual damage won’t be returning in any game
Agreed. I feel they can do away with convertibles. Went a little overboard on the Porches. 7 different Porches: 6 are 2018 and 1 is 2019. This isn’t including the RSR which I like. And if they’re going to introduce a different category of cars, have the equivalent variety as the other groups. Trucks…
one of my favourite need for speeds especially in recent times. i did like the sound track too. especially 100 bands and turning it up for the sunshine
3 cars legendary in need for speed heat #1 Rachel's Nissan 350Z from Need for Speed Underground 2 and #2 bmw m3 gtr from need for Speed most wanted 2005 and #3 eddie nissan skyline r34 from need for Speed Underground
I'm sorry but the mechanics of this game is awesome. For an arcade game, it's actually quite realistic. I actually drive more in real life like NFS heat than I would in forza. No hating on you from me bro
the only grab I have with this video is that why would they put people in a city where the car can go anywhere it's not GTA it's a PG-13 game it's not going to do all that
I'm playing NFS Unbound this week and honestly i'm enjoying quite a lot, it's not the perfect NFS of my dreams, but it's a decent fun NFS game and like Heat, the fun factor wins in the end, even tho i'm not 100% on the soundtrack, vibe and characters, the racing is where is at, i've had a blast playing NFS heat, it was such a big improvement over payback, just the fact that they didn't keep the card system was a big win to me, the sense of speed aswell in heat was one of the best out there, specially that "industrial downhill" where you can just descend and seein' the city bending on the corner of the screen, my heart literally raced with the car hahaha. To me, i just wanted a new NFS game with the same Underground/Most Wanted grounded physics, no drift assists, no steering assists and all.
I absolutely loved the old NFS games, starting with NFS 2, but I absolutely dislike this one. Car controls are absolutely insensitive and unintuitive. If you see, you don't manage it to go through the curve at your current speed, and step off the gas, the car will instead go more straight than before (?!??). If you notice your 'mistake' (for me, this is only a mistake, since I knew it wouldn't work, but intuitively I did it again and again) and step back on the gas, the car will immediately start sliding and likely spinning. - The way to get to the race is longer then the race itself. The game's UI is strange. This game (from 2019) eats all the ressources of my brand new gaming PC! The story? I didn't buy a racing game for a story. - I won't recommend the game and I asked at Steam for refund.
So recently (as of 13th of September 2023) i bought NFS Heat at a discount for like 5 euros and well for that price its definitely worth it but i do have some opinions about it: Well first lets state the fact that i did beat the campaign as of today and my max lvl car that i bough is a honda nsx at lvl 330. So my opinions on the cops are that when you start the game the moment you accidently go above heat lvl 3 you´re dead but as you get higher in lvl the start to become challenging but reasonable although yeah fighting the cops is nearly just impossible. As for the driving physics i have to disagree having handbrake , normal brake and even accelerate being use for drifting is just annoying if you don´t want to drift literally every corner even if its a very lazy and wide corner you still have to drift it if you´re going at speed. But if you have to make multiple sharp turn in close succession it just wont let you. Speaking of speed i personally hate it, anything below 130mph feels way to slow which is a problem because the stupid drift mechanics kills you´re speed and the acceleration in this game also feels non existent. The Rain is also annoying i agree. I cant comment on the soundtrack because as soon as i heard the first song play on the first cutscene i think even before i entered the game i turned it off. The story is not bad in my opinion but its not really anything of note . As for the multiplayer well yeah i cant get anybody to participate in my races, in a racing game, nobody wants to race in racing game i just dont understand it because even if i lose i still get better rewards than getting first place in solo events most of the time to me its just a win win. Also minor gripe is that even if im not driving crazy my paint gets ruined. Also edit the car selection i think kinda sucked very heavy focus on super cars and german cars dominate the selection leading to nearly every dude i see online having a porshe.
Thats fair. I like your in depth take. Multiplayer is definitely annoying now I wish there was just a menu to load up random races. The cops were different before players complained and they patched them but hard cops makes it more enjoyable IMO
@@Brayzon Cant say before but yes cops are a defining factor of a nfs game and should be a threat at any level although i think it would be interesting if they ever brought back the old player police from nfs rivals especially if they had undercover cars and in the middle of the race one of you're opponents suddenly stars flashing those blue and red. Also just watched a review on juiced from back in the ps2 era and there are definitely some ideas worth considering like reputation and if you hit other peoples cars you lose reputation and lose access to sertain races and events or even parts and so on with different crews
@@Brayzon Also just remembered that there was a betting system that might be a good way to boost players income. Then maybe a matenance system that has you pay for repairs etc but also new NOS bottles (also from juiced) that would also create a second hand car market where playes could buy an sell cars (again also from juiced) Then just another 2 random ideas but semi conected would be to sell players custom skins for in game money and even be able to build and tune cars to sell them aswell Another idea of mine is to change the customisation options for the cars even more so it can take into account the size and weight of the vehicle but also its addons and mods, gor example: A McLaren F1 would have high performance due to its light weight and high power but very low healt and it cant install NOS or if it did would up the weight and drop a bit in other performance aspects but a land rover has a lot less performance but has a lot of auxiliary slots and high health that way they can balance out the diffrences between the clases of vehicles instead of having the super car dominate all. I think with a combination of diffrent gangs players can choose from kinda like nfs carbon ( including cops), a rep system, a noteriety system and really as many of the ideas from above i think it would be one of the most intense nfs to date and one of the best racing games ever. Also races for pink slips how could i forget those that was also a feature in juiced but expanding on this like in nfs carbon you could have those canyon races but if you crash your car its gone. And hopefully finally, sorry for the idea dump just realized how much of a wall of text i dropped on you
with modern need for speeds i always turn off music in the game. give us different radios to choose from like forza EA. i want my rock while racing, something that makes my car go VROOOOOOOOOM not rap that makes my car go MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
After 100% the game, I can say that this is prolly a top 5 NFS game imo. Pretty much everything was near peak NFS, even the music. I know niggas don’t like some of the rap songs, cardi b’s song is ass, but a lot of the other ones are great, gives me a night racing vibe yk? The pop, electronic, and latin music are all elite. Was disappointed asl with Unbound not being able to have that same feeling as Heat cause this game really does have a certain feel to it. Idk what it is but it’s there, made this game so much better. Unbound don’t have that feel. Overall, love this game to death, praying the next NFS feels like this, literally praying
What Heat has that Unbound doesn't. Is: - the no rubberbanding. In Heat you feel acheived winning races with skill instead if luck - The blue nitrous is actually useful - getting away from cops like in the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds" is very fun - large variety of tracks - you can use any car to beat any racers with the freedom of choice instead of the car class system in Unbound Instead of it being called "Unbound", should've been called "Bounded".
Just started the game a week ago here’s what I feel so far -Slightly repetitive gameplay -poor soundtrack -cops are Broken -Progression is okay -money system needs improvement -car control is fun -customization is great -drift cars suck -graphics still hold up -rep system could be better -cop AI is way too aggressive at low heat. (They’ll smash into you and increase your heat level. Wether you like it or not they’ll increase your heat and call stronger reinforcements) -setting is nice but feels a little caged in -physics are insanely unrealistic but that’s the point so W ig😅 -sound effects are amazing (I love running from cops and hearing my exhaust backfire as my character changes gears) -story mode is… meh honestly (only play is to get the yellow polestar and some money+rep -races are fun but if you’re too good you’ll be so far ahead it’s like you’re racing alone -gameplay is fun and exciting Score:8/10 great game. Just don’t take it too seriously and you’ll enjoy it through the whole ride
ok so for me personally, the heat pretty much died after I saw unbound, the picture just looks so... basic. Unbound was flashy, cool, and cartoonish, for gods sake, and Heat is... a car in a city. I never understood the hate against Unbound, since 2015-2019 we got pretty much the same looking game, prior to that the games look were changing because of tech, but, since realistic graphics don't really change thru the years nowadays, the heat looks basic, barebone even. I don't know anything about the physics in Unbound, but I don't think they managed to break it since Heat. So, for me, every game we got from 2015 to 2019 is dead
If I got my car till 300+, I find it very easy to beat almost all the AI racers. It becomes very easy to win then. The Heat 3 and 5 races try to match up to your cars PR level (or whatever it's called in this one). There, the only goal is to reach in top 5 rank, and you get a part.
I loved this game when it came out, but i still have some gripes with it. I don’t like how the cop’s basically don’t exist once you reach 400+ on all your cars, even around 350 I only ever have one to two cops stay beside me then they pull back. There’s also the occasional cop who gets in front of me but he buggers off as well pretty quickly; in the beginning of the game’s life, even with a 380 car the cops stuck to me like glue and it was amazing because I actually felt scared of them converging on me like a pack of predators. But ever since the last ever update they’ve mainly been babies, and I can’t resist the urge of falling asleep with the controller in my hands, especially with how repetitive the map gets after awhile. Edit: like no joke, this game has cured my insomnia issues for all of the wrong reasons.
@@Brayzon yeah I don’t understand how they didn’t give any F’s about the cops being mental in Rivals, but then they almost immediately scaled down the cops massively in terms of spawn numbers and difficulty because a loud minority was ranting about the cops being too difficult when that was the entire point! In my opinion without challenging cops then the games just become “drive fast simulator”.
heat just need to make it more dense, the city is beautiful but looks empty like a ghost town. they should make another game like heat, carbon, and rival ambience at the same time but put NPC inside the game
i played this game is such as masterpiece but i know you can get the Nissan GT-R NISMO '17 as a Beginning Car? the First Collectable seen the Billboard is still Available from the beginning at the Prologue if you can choice a Ford Mustang GT ('65) and get a Green Parts is Way to Easy
Stay tuned. Been working on that one for a few weeks now. Gonna do OSRS and then if people want a full RS breakdown I'll do that as well. I play the game almost every day still.
awsome video, i honestly enjoy playing HEAT its so fun but the map is a bit small but the cars are really cool and the customization are great too, also i feel like you need to sound a bit more enthueastic in your videos to me it sound like you are reading word for word in a english class presentation
Heat is a neat game that anyone can enjoy and greatly have fun with. The thumps down you mention here are too much. It's like you want to make it a perfect game. No game can reach that caliber of perfection. They are games. As for me, Heat is a great improvement from the NFS titles.
Oh Im not saying a game needs to be perfect! But thats what these videos are about discussing every feature good or bad no matter how I enjoyed the game!
If you are in for a game review then you should take a lot of game time analyzing it. Heat had been the best NFS title, coming short of Most Wanted at the second spot in the NFS Community. For such a game the merits have to be more than the demerits. @@Brayzon
Youre saying my critiques are because I want to make it a perfect game.. Yes anything that I dont feel is perfect I would want improved. Im not saying it will all be fixed. But to just say I shouldnt cover it is not right. The best game of all time can still have flaws.@@babalahjr4740
I thought the soundtrack was fine. It is a very subjective topic anyway. I agree that the world felt very abandoned when you compare it with something like GTA, but I guess it would bring performance issues adding all sorts of pedestrians etc
About the handbrake… I get where you’re coming from, but you’re completely wrong. You should still use take racing lines but prime your drift and tap brake at the apex of the turn to get the best times. There’s a good video out there of nfs heat breaking mechanics and cornering by trigger militia just look it up and he explains it much better if you’re interested.
The music in the game wasn't my kind of music. I wish we would of had more options. The game is pretty good so far. The story isn't fully my focus to play the game. I like the car play in here. Reminds me of need for speed most wanted. I wonder if I can get the BMW m3 from most wanted in heat.
you can actually skip the cruising part of those driving missions if you so wish (found this out myselt recently). just drive quickly far ahead of the npc and they'll tell you where youre meant to go on the map
Interesting didnt know!
I kinda wanna drive with them but I have mouse click triggers 😢
Wow really I had no idea that’s super useful I still play the game to this day it’s just fun to me. So that’s interesting I can’t believe I never tried that myself as that was the worst part of game for me is following those npcs haha they drive slow
@@agentnukaz1715 same here. I got the click remap kit from extreme rate and now I can't cruise cuz I have to keep feathering. good thing I don't use brakes in the game tho and it makes it miles easier with the clicks to engage a drift using the gas
I think that what have me playing😅driving with them….because I have NFS unbound but it feel cartoonish
It had really good barebones they just didnt perfect it but agreed its a fun game
I make it S tier because honestly, I've never put so much time into NFS post story. NFS wasn't always if ever like this. Once you finish the story, that's really it unless you go back and complete the other races
I agree Heat is a good nfs game compared to 2015, payback and unbound, sadly EA decided to stop supporting it to soon
The music was the most disappointing part of the game. The rest of the game imo was amazing.

LOL yeah those trucks really do mess everything up
bro...fucking TRUE..I dont mind the traffic but goddamn they are so obvious with it spawning them right infront of you to slow you down
the goddamn ambulances
I reckon the NPC traffic is designed to spawn on the to be traversed optimum path! With my reflexes, I bet they could have done better to save those patients on those ambulances!
I came from playing Midnight Club as a kid and found that the barriers in Need For Speed to be infuriating. I liked choosing my own path to a checkpoint. It also makes the map feel closed in and less of an open world.
Thats fair I didnt really think about that
Makes me think modern racing games like the new NFS games don't need to be open world
Personally I dont always need open world in games@@shawklan27
To each their own, but I think open world is good but for after the race (eg police chase and stuff); not having a designated route for a race seems to defeat the purpose of "racing" at its core.
taking a variety of routes in Midnight Club is the best part, especially the city dashes without any checkpoints.
that being said, i also played way more NFS:MW back in the day instead of MC3, so maybe i didn't care that much either way lol.
They were supposed to add a lot more content to the game but EA neutered out experience because it didn't sell enough.
That sucks:/ Unfortunately sales drives games now

This is one of the better NFS games within this past decade. The customization is very much improved compared to NFS: Payback's card system. The only thing i wish Heat had was more time to flush out the story. For example, i really wanted to know what else happened to Shaw or even Mercer. Still, i enjoyed this racing game after not playing one in soo long lolz. ❤
My guess is they wanted a sequel but idk if well get one
Yeah, really left me wanting more on the story. Torres should be a subject of a sequel, at the very least. EA finally got it right with most stuff on NFS, and it was really enjoyable.

Yeah thats true they were lowkey trying to kill us instead of stop us LMAO. It seems like they had no music for anything lol

i don't know what but there is something in Heat, that is missing in Unbound. i mean i can't describe it but i feel it when i play the games.
NFS never disappointed in this re guard. the car lists are always good or excellent. even Undercover which was heavily panned by players and critics alike mentioned the great car list of the game
Sense of speed in Heat is very good, you actually feel the car is going fast and above 200 mph feels FAST! by all accounts.
I agree heat is a solid NFS entry Idk where Id rank it I'd have to sit down and think about it
I think the devs did sum right but didn't realise it. It's really one of the best nfs.
You're right on the money with that comment on the sense of speed. No other modern game I've seen has that, and I find it really disappointing because I dislike pretty much everything else in Heat.

Yes, this really hurt. No blowers on your own cars, so so sad. Otherwise Heat was awesome =)
Yeah the online is not very good and never really was
To be honest Heat checked all the boxes to becoming the best NFS games but the lack of updates and content killed it ngl the game is pretty fun online and cop chases also make up for it but what criterion shouldve done is that they should've given Heat more and more big updates and released the next nfs games a bit late lets say if a new NFS game is launched in 3 years then they shouldve released Unbound after 4 years but thats just my opinion.
Heat was developed by Ghost btw, which for some reason, EA dissolved & merged with Criterion (probably to cut operating cost due to EA's unrealistic expectations on expenses vs profits)
For instance, EA is also moving Criterion to developing Battlefield despite them being a race game developer first & foremost. Leaving Unbound on as little life support as they possibly can.
The same could be said for any other game that are made by other studios owned by EA. There is a reason why C&C died. The Sims is the way it currently is, and current Bioware.. Is the way it currently is lol.
Game was on sale for the delux version on the PlayStation store on ps4. Paid 10% of the normal price

It's on game pass. I picked it up cus overall ppl say it's better then unbound
I have no complaints the music worked, the story was really good imo and the car list was next to perfect, the grind for better parts was fun, police chases on edge af, building any car for any purpose was fun af too
Well then thats anything you could ever ask for!

best way to lose the cops if jumping into water and when it respawns you just reverse and drive off. the cops dont move either and they just stay in the same spot and are completely clueless i dont know if it works when you have 2+ cops on you but it does work when youre in early stages of a chase

Here in 2024, waiting for any DLC to make NFS HEAT a huge comeback! NFS unbound sucks.
I guess that makes sense but I definitely liked the way it plays
I'm at level 20 right now and I really like the game. I like the driving, the music, the missions and I can outrun or lose the cops most of the time. I've been busted like 3 times in total.
My only problems with heat were the limited repairs and the absurd amount of damage the cops do to your car just by grazing it
People complaining about the music open Spotify while your playing now that our current consoles can do that you people haiting especially when need for speed heat brought everything back about street racing

Best Nfs part we need an update
I dont think theyll update it again unfortunately
i think it was cause of EA and also covid hit 3 months after the game released
Yeah definitely need an option for multiple save files. And absolutely! should be able to switch loadout seamlessly

Im sorry you feel that way:/
I still play the game , It reminds me of Underground 2.
So recently (as of 13th of September 2023) i bought NFS Heat at a discount for like 5 euros and well for that price its definitely worth it but i do have some opinions about it:
Well first lets state the fact that i did beat the campaign as of today and my max lvl car that i bough is a honda nsx at lvl 330.
So my opinions on the cops are that when you start the game the moment you accidently go above heat lvl 3 you´re dead but as you get higher in lvl the start to become challenging but reasonable
although yeah fighting the cops is nearly just impossible.
Interesting! A Rep system like that could work! Maybe a future game?@@Brukawski
@@Brayzon Also just remembered that there was a betting system that might be a good way to boost players income.
Then maybe a matenance system that has you pay for repairs etc but also new NOS bottles (also from juiced) that would also create a second hand car market where playes could buy an sell cars (again also from juiced)
Then just another 2 random ideas but semi conected would be to sell players custom skins for in game money and even be able to build and tune cars to sell them aswell
Another idea of mine is to change the customisation options for the cars even more so it can take into account the size and weight of the vehicle but also its addons and mods, gor example:
A McLaren F1 would have high performance due to its light weight and high power but very low healt and it cant install NOS or if it did would up the weight and drop a bit in other performance aspects but a land rover has a lot less performance but has a lot of auxiliary slots and high health that way they can balance out the diffrences between the clases of vehicles instead of having the super car dominate all.
And hopefully finally, sorry for the idea dump just realized how much of a wall of text i dropped on you
No worries I love the ideas! Thats what makes gaming great so many options to improve games!@@Brukawski
with modern need for speeds i always turn off music in the game. give us different radios to choose from like forza EA. i want my rock while racing, something that makes my car go VROOOOOOOOOM not rap that makes my car go MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM
The handbrake is your worst enemy and not your best friend. It slows you down way too much.
Heat was AMAZING
pretty fun
Luckily i have 2 mates who love raceing and car games so we’re having fun and 3 people is the max for most races for online players
How does the driving compare to the NFS Rivals? I found it to be the best driving game of NFS, though it lacked the city aspect of it.
Havent played it in a while I'd have to go back and really test i dont want to give you a bad opinion
alright, thanks anyway@@Brayzon
@@omererel7766Heat has better handling to me. I've been playing Rivals lately. Both I really like overall
Its a solid game honestly
What Heat has that Unbound doesn't. Is:
- the no rubberbanding. In Heat you feel acheived winning races with skill instead if luck
- The blue nitrous is actually useful
- getting away from cops like in the movie "Gone In 60 Seconds" is very fun
- large variety of tracks
- you can use any car to beat any racers with the freedom of choice instead of the car class system in Unbound
Instead of it being called "Unbound", should've been called "Bounded".
Just started the game a week ago here’s what I feel so far
-Slightly repetitive gameplay
-poor soundtrack
-cops are Broken
-Progression is okay
-money system needs improvement
-car control is fun
-customization is great
-drift cars suck
-graphics still hold up
-rep system could be better
-cop AI is way too aggressive at low heat. (They’ll smash into you and increase your heat level. Wether you like it or not they’ll increase your heat and call stronger reinforcements)
-setting is nice but feels a little caged in
-physics are insanely unrealistic but that’s the point so W ig😅
-sound effects are amazing (I love running from cops and hearing my exhaust backfire as my character changes gears)
-story mode is… meh honestly (only play is to get the yellow polestar and some money+rep
-races are fun but if you’re too good you’ll be so far ahead it’s like you’re racing alone
-gameplay is fun and exciting
Score:8/10 great game. Just don’t take it too seriously and you’ll enjoy it through the whole ride
I like the way you say dont take it too seriously I think sometimes people do with games!
Greatest game since 2005
unbound basically doubled down on the worst parts of heat, and did a -1 on what Heat already did great
I always go to the container section and Jump on a container because if the can’t see you they just can’t see you
Interesting
ok so for me personally, the heat pretty much died after I saw unbound, the picture just looks so...
I still play it I got the game 2020/2021 when are there new updates
as some one from tampa and i lived in miami you can not complain about the rain it will rain for a week straight in south florida
LOL But its a game!!
If I got my car till 300+, I find it very easy to beat almost all the AI racers. It becomes very easy to win then. The Heat 3 and 5 races try to match up to your cars PR level (or whatever it's called in this one). There, the only goal is to reach in top 5 rank, and you get a part.
yeah i didnt have too many problems either
The deluxe edition is 95% off in the xbox store lmao best $3 I've ever spent
worth
I picked it up on steam for the same price
Yeah I liked how hard they were in the beginning personally but I guess other people must of not
@@Brayzon yeah I don’t understand how they didn’t give any F’s about the cops being mental in Rivals, but then they almost immediately scaled down the cops massively in terms of spawn numbers and difficulty because a loud minority was ranting about the cops being too difficult when that was the entire point!
In my opinion without challenging cops then the games just become “drive fast simulator”.
Thats most racing games! And in sim racing it probably works better but I like the street racing aspect of NFS@@nightwolf9375
Just picked this game up on PSN sale for $6 down from $99. What a deal😂
wow thats nice!
Now it iz available only in 2.5 doller on steam😂
No traffic , just a few cars in a big city.. ghost town
heat just need to make it more dense, the city is beautiful but looks empty like a ghost town. they should make another game like heat, carbon, and rival ambience at the same time but put NPC inside the game
Thats what I said but not everyone agreed!
I loved the payback game and I really happy to finally get heat because it's 95% off steam so it went from 60 pounds to 3
i played this game is such as masterpiece but i know you can get the Nissan GT-R NISMO '17 as a Beginning Car? the First Collectable seen the Billboard is still Available from the beginning at the Prologue if you can choice a Ford Mustang GT ('65) and get a Green Parts is Way to Easy
I think theres better games but its definitely fun
@@Brayzon thanks for my tip is way easy to get a Nissan GT-R NISMO '17 but only Ford Mustang GT '65 is a acceleration and they can prove it
Which is better heat or payback
Heat
They literally worried more about expressing GAY feelings in the story line than actually making the story line any good.
🤷
Bro please do the GOAT of all MMORPG games RuneScape. Still going strong after over 20 years. OS runescape still has a dedicated fanbase
I appreciate the criticism I just try to be authentic and not oversell but I will definitely try to improve!
I wish they had a drag strip you could go to and race other players in your lobby
Could nor agree more I love drag races
@@Brayzon Yeah, you are right on that. The best game can still have flaws
doesnt mean its not an awesome game still!@@babalahjr4740
I thought the soundtrack was fine. It is a very subjective topic anyway.
I agree that the world felt very abandoned when you compare it with something like GTA, but I guess it would bring performance issues adding all sorts of pedestrians etc
About the handbrake… I get where you’re coming from, but you’re completely wrong. You should still use take racing lines but prime your drift and tap brake at the apex of the turn to get the best times. There’s a good video out there of nfs heat breaking mechanics and cornering by trigger militia just look it up and he explains it much better if you’re interested.
Maybe for online its important but for story handbraking worked completely fine I guess that was my point
The Game is still great
NFS is just that franchise
The music in the game wasn't my kind of music. I wish we would of had more options. The game is pretty good so far. The story isn't fully my focus to play the game. I like the car play in here. Reminds me of need for speed most wanted. I wonder if I can get the BMW m3 from most wanted in heat.
I like the car play but the story left some to be desired for me tbh
