Malcom's a horrible human being. He set in motion Sara's death. Laurels not that good a fighter, but she has every right to want to avenger her. He Doesn't try to justify his actions or at least tell her that he regrets it as he did with Oliver when he was thought dead . He just beats and to add salt to the injury mocks her.

Nyssa and Merlyn trained together under the same teachers at the League of Assassins. He lacks the ability to surprise her and he had no room to maneuver. Plus, fights don't always end according to the logic of "A can defeat B, and B can defeat C, therefore A will defeat C." Styles match up differently.
malcom life is miserable now. he lost his son, he has no friends and the only family he has is a daughter who he can't trust. she always talk about killing him. assuming his parents are dead guess she is his only family. I mean he's not that old so it's possible thier still alive. closest thing he has to a friend right now is oliver queen who chop off his hand. oh yeah thea never once chewed oliver out for that. so I guess it's safe to say malcom getting his now.

They are all of extremely close skill, and the person who wins will be different each time, and the plot will come first, before deciding whether it 'makes sense' of whether it's consistent. The result isn't always the same-why should it be? The circumstances are always different. The weapon, the mindset, the mental stability, distractions etc. Just because somebody beat someone once before, doesn't mean they will beat them every time. We haven't seen Oliver fight Malcolm 1v1 since he repeatedly lost to him in Season 1(unless I'm forgetting something). Oliver has beaten Nyssa. Nyssa beats Malcolm here, and he beat her in another episode. It doesn't fucking matter who beats who. FYI, Malcolm is my favourite, not that it matters, but I'm unbiased here, idk why everyone seems to think Nyssa is the best. She may have been training for however many odd years but we don't know whether she actually faced any real threats, if she just stayed in the League all the time training, and her targets were seemingly easy. She never fought insane challenges I assume, like Malcolm and Oliver did, so she falls behind there. But like I said, they are close, and all the results don't have to be consistent.
For the record there is a way to make sense of it here, as Nyssa was amped because of her rage and it made her sharper. Another thing was Malcolm wasn’t expecting the league as he had his attention on Laurel, so he was off his game as well. Considering that this is only 1 fight that she won and she needed prep for it and Malcolm to be off his game, it’s easy to see why she only won this fight. As season 4 has made it clear that Nyssa and Malcolm have fought so many times and she was never able to beat him, otherwise she would’ve had no problem to become the new Ra’s and needed Oliver to beat Malcolm.
At least the League apprehends Malcom in the end,despite that he got away with protecting Thea when Ras killed Oliver. He still thinks he`s a smart-ass.

She knows better (here she was just motivated by rage). She is learning. She's the least capable fighter now but she's going to grow into a formidable combatant with time. Black Canary is one of the best fighters in all of the DC universe. Laurel is just now starting her journey so she's going to fail and make mistakes. People need to understand that and let her learn from them. She'll get some proper training and become a badass vigilante eventually.

i like this show but it doesn't make any sense. Malcolm only trained 2 years in the league and nyssa trained probably 20+ years and is still training. Yet in "the magician" merlyn takes her down easily. Then oliver takes her down easily. And this scene she takes merlyn down easily. Given the amount of training she gets she should be able to beat oliver and merlyn. But this show is rlly inconsistent with these 3. Its kinda annoying

i like this show but it doesn't make any sense. Malcolm only trained 2 years in the league and nyssa trained probably 20+ years and is still training. Yet in "the magician" merlyn takes her down easily. Then oliver takes her down easily. And this scene she takes merlyn down easily. Given the amount of training she gets she should be able to beat oliver and merlyn. But this show is rlly inconsistent with these 3. Its kinda annoying
Andrew Elias Nyssa is a much better fighter than Malcolm AND Oliver, the only reason Oliver beat her is because the writers had to find a way to let Malcolm go. There are a lot of things that don't make sense in this show, just like Oliver owning Slade then Cupid (are u fucking kidding me) owning Oliver...
