That guy has a different market. Doing that aloud at a garage sale is different from doing it at with a business owner who doesn’t have the bandwidth to list on Amazon, ship out orders, etc
I mean this is a business buying from a business really….. I def think it’s weird when you see it at yard sales for sure
At the same time he's profiting as well, and to generate a sale that gets rid of that much inventory will allow him to reinvest 3500+ dollars into other avenues if he wants. If you have stuff and it's slow to move sometimes even breaking even on it is ok because you free up space get your money back on it and can pivot.

I played that SNES bonkers, even had the manual weeks ago, sick to see it again in physical
I’d love to see follow ups to videos like these once everything sells to track how much profit you actually made off of deals like this. It would be a bit of work to track it all but would be interesting to see the results!

Actually now that i think about it, i was at his yard sale a few weeks ago. He made me some good deals as well. Bought a bunch of vintage for parts consoles and did pretty well. Louisville is a fairly big city, but it has the small town vibe where you often run into people again and again
I just want to buy the entire console tote and the cartridge game tote as those both are amazing

You brought up retail 2nd hand merchandise sellers. I collect Pops and there's a store in a mall here that sells them. A lot of them are priced above eBay. That includes the Pop shipping and sales tax. Example Spider-Man Pop sells for $15 on eBay shipping is $5 so that's up to $20 and add in 6% sales tax so $21.20 total. Same Pop at that store $25 plus sales tax. So it's really counterproductive and hurt sales by pricing way above eBay or whatnot.
I sometimes pick up Wii fits or Wii fit plus to pair with Wii fit boards I can sometimes get them cheap enough and they make for a decent flip

thats a BIG outlay to make 25% profit. Good rule of thumb is to make TRIPLE your purchase price (and even that is low).
Lots of cool games, the DBZ Budokai HD on PS3 is going for good money right be on the look out for those. Also some of the cheaper games like the PS2 Medal of Honor games I've been seeing people lot those guys together. So Frontline, Rising Sun, and European Assault, each game by itself itself alot but all three I've seen go for like 15 to 20 on ebay so might not be bad looking to bundle them together.
You and Chase should do a game show with Spanky vs Sky Guy trying to guess game values.

So I have a question with complete
If the game came with a mail in card and say a game promotional paper for a upcoming title and those are missing but the manual is still with it can it really be considered complete everyone is different and opinions matter but I feel just because it has manual does not make certain things complete especially $150-800 ps2 games and $500-10000 snes games

A very good point and I have listened to some sellers that have priced their copies of a title higher than average because of facts like that. The game either has every single peice it came with, either a reg card, poster, stickers whatever. Condition also matters as well if someone has a complete game that is hard to come by and they have it listed at say 100 however the case has noticeable wear or the manual is damaged another reseller might say I have that same item complete and my copy is in better condition so they tend to list 10% or 20% knowing that people will see the two and go I want the nicer copy, collectors especially.

How many returns do you get. I sell only a few used games and get a decent amount of returns
Why don’t you sell your games in tested working order and don’t offer returns

Its confusing why every type of reseller complains about the pricing at brick and mortar stores. They have overhead and rent to pay... you are a one man show who works out of your home. Even when they sell their games for the "retail" price, they have to sell a ton more games just to break even each day. It may not be the ideal business model compared to a youtube/reseller but thats what they've chosen. They arent there to give their business away to used car salesman resellers.
