It goes down to the basics. Yes size may be a factor but it’s not everything. There are a lot of small players who balls like a beast out there. Teach the kids the right basics. From body posture to everything. And it has to be taught as early as 1st grade. Philippine Basketball needs an overhaul. If the Philippines is that passionate about Basketball, then it’s time to make the right moves.
60+% of Serbia's goal were made from the trey area. And their plays were intended for 3's together with penetrate plus bonuses. This means that in every success position they scored 3points that become compounded at the end of the game. They are simply not on our level of game. They are simply built to win games.

I was expecting something might occur, but it turned out to be a friendly game. No physicality, somehow I’m disappointed but knowing there are role players who didn’t play for the national team, it could have been more appealing/exciting to watch. Gilas needs players who can do the dirty jobs, the “enforcers” I should say.

My honest opinion, please consider this. At first 5 minutes nakalamang tayo eh kahit 2 points lang, bkt? kasi kaya naman medyo ok yung 1st 5 lineup, 1 lang yung maliit para magdala ng bola tapos yung 4 malalaki lahat, troy rosario playing sg kasi magaling syang spotout shooter, wal sa position nya yung nilalaro nya pero ok lang for as long as nakakasabay sya sa depensa. What I mean is wag nang pilitin yung maliliit na line up kasi hanggang SEA lang yan kahit sa Asia hirap na yan, sanayin na lang yung malalaki na maglaro ng mga guard position. Ang problema kasi sa ating basketball eh lumaki ka lang ng konti eh paposteposte ka na lang. tapos yung mga maliliit na players na di kayang magdala ng bola eh please wag nang ilagay sa lineup (Guys like Pogoy), they are a liabilities to international tournament like this. Ok lang sila (Lee, Perez at Bollick kasi nakakapag baba sila ng bola). Si ravena naman nakakalat na binababad pa. Bawi na lang tyo next time at least now were on right track. Siguro kailangan tayong magkaroon ng standard height para sa SG at SF position sa PBa pa lang. Pag 6'5" pababa yung height dapat sanayin na yang maging POINT GUARD, hindi forward o small forward.

Mga basketball stakes holder din natin ang balakid kaya di magawa ng players maglaro as disciplined as consistent as a team sa taas ng level of competition kailangan nila near perfect na laro at magiging posible na makasabay hanggang sa huli. Magagawa mo iyan sa long preparation at tuneup games sa ibang bansa na simulate yung klase ng basketball ng makakalaban mo.
Tandaan niyo mga kababayan bilang parte ng Sea region tayo lang nakapasok ng 2 sunod sa world cup sa paborito nating sport at may achievement tayo sa Asian level. Mga kapitbahay natin na humaling sa football hanggang panaginip lang mi Asian level di sila maka podium finish. Sa football world cup qualifiers manalo lang sila ng isa selebrasyon na sa kanila. At walang oras sa kanila bastusin babuyin sariling national team nila
