- Current developments on the Park Fire and Crozier Fire.
Park Fire is burning in the Lassen Foothills Region of Butte and Tehama Counties, Northern California.
Crozier Fire is burning in El Dorado County, east of Georgetown.

Lost my house in the Caldor Fire of 21. Now I live in Kelsey and this fire is taking up my northeast view.

Do you think what's left of Lassen National Park will burn up? I realize this area has a fuel load but still this will really break my heart.
I hope not. Lassen is my favorite park. I go there all the time.

Can you talk about the concern of the fire moving south to the Camino area? It’s 7 miles from me I’m a little worried.
CAREFUL w fancy cam lenses around grinders and welders, nothing destroys glass faster than iron/steel sparks.

@@Skidderoperator Yeah my bro asked me what happened to the passenger window of his Toyota PU, was instantly clear to me it was exposed to MIG welder spatter specifically. He or someone had welded above and way to close, window destroyed. Seems we all learn that lesson the hard way.
I mentioned "expensive cam" here as Zeke talks about such. Not hard to keep distance from welder but grinder sparks can travel 20 plus ft.
Significant expansion of the evacuation order for the Crozier Fire. I really am scared in Foresthill now.
That’s why I left CA 6 years ago (unfortunately) and other reasons. Stay safe with fires down there, and get out before you think you need to.

So retardant doesn't stop a timber fire. But does it reduce severity? I guess, more generally, I'm wondering if there's a way to reduce severity in areas where a burn isn't possible.
@@kurtkessler5524 Slows it down and buys time so some sort of line can be constructed. Whether it's direct or indirect with a burn operation or dozer or handline.
Reducing fuel is the best way to reduce a fire

Nothing but fuel in between the fire and 44. Morgan mnt cam shows the fire now past that point which is hwy36
where are fires. I am concerned about Anderson Calif
Anderson is under no threat of fire. Cal fire website is good source to follow regional fires. Park fire continues to burn East with the wind direction.
Anderson is FAR away. Fires not going west.
