- Decorator, designer, and author Lauren Fornes welcomes us into her home outside of Boston to see how she and her family have made their home merry and bright for the holidays!

This woman fooled me. I thought she was going to be a stuffy old money chick, but in reality she is a sweet caring mother with a beautiful, curated home. I love being surprised! God bless her and her children

Boy am I tearing up. Brick is beautiful inside and out. I love how she puts decor in it's proper place. It's at OUR service and not the other way around. Her house is light and airy and I love it!

As someone with medical challenges and a child with medical needs I find this time of year very hard. It is often very challenging for many families with disabilities hidden and not hidden, especially lone parents.. It is a super relief to finally see some families with extra needs included in these home tours.
At the end,when mom comes through the door, and takes Brick's face in her hands and kisses him .... my heart just melted. This whole family is blessed with everything that matters. The look of love on her face is precious.

If I could give this 100 thumbs up, I would. Lauren is just wonderful and has created a home filled with such joy, and gratitude and love. Thank you for sharing her story, her family and her wonderful home...while I wipe the tears from my eyes.

I live with mild CP. I’m a middle aged woman. I recently lost my mom. This woman reminds me of true motherly love and a beautiful warm home.
That was a beautiful message for the holiday season . A wonderful home and family. What a great tribute to your son best friend a red cardinal tree. Your son I could tell senses how much he is loved and cherished by your family. I have two sons and a stepdaughter. My baby son who is 11 years old now was born with cleft lip/ alveolar he had to have surgery at 3 months. His nostril on one side is slightly closed in. At this age he is asking a lot of questions about did you still think I was cute baby. Were you happy I was born even though I had this. Kids at school are starting to pick at him regarding the scar on his lip. I tell him every day that I couldn't have ask for a better son. He is a big hearted, loving, and very opinionated child. Your home was lovely and cozy you have beautiful family.

My favorite thing is the needle point stockings. Her home is beautiful. I like how she uses her beautiful China and crystal. I never use mine. You can tell her world is centered around her family. That’s what it’s all about.

I am from a family of 5 children. Two of which had physical challenges ..... its was hard being the middle child. But now I am seventy and I think...... how did mom cope? Your home is beautiful and so are you and your family. Life is hard. But it is beautiful!!
