@Dan Hauer Ancient china influenced Eastern Asia culture like India was to South Asia and Latin and Greek to Europe.
That’s why Korean hanbok and ming dynasty clothing look similar. I mean saying ancient china (one of four ancient civilizations) stealing is ridiculous. No one steal others culture. Culture is mutual influence. If you look carefully, they can easily tell the difference between hanbok and ming dynasty clothing.
For example, hanbok don’t have wide sleeves. But ming dynasty female clothing have it. And ming dynasty clothing have the oversized no sleeves/with sleeves jacket(i explained so badly here, maybe you can search for relics pictures). I only mention ming dynasty clothing because people arguing about this two a lot. Others Chinese dynasty clothing are obviously different from others countries clothing.
You don’t have to be so aggressive.

I didnt know that Vietnam has such a beautiful traditional clothes. I rlly love it.
    🇻🇳 🇻🇳 🇰🇷
    Add:
Hey Chinese, I just said "Vietnamese traditional clothes are really beautiful." and why are you guys so angry??
You guys can't even use TH-cam freely in your country, so how are there so many Chinese people on TH-cam?
    ㅋㅋㅋㅋ역겹다 그냥.
Don't lay down on your room bed and argue pathetic about "traditions", just live hard today and tomorrow.
    another add:
The Korean historical drama "Dae Jang Geum", which aired 15 years ago, was loved in China. At that time, the hanbok worn by the protagonist, "Jang-Geum", caused a great fever in China that the hanbok was sold out. China's largest travel agency, "Sea Trip," has a photo of a man and woman wearing a hanbok and satgot on a Korean travel poster. This means that at that time, even in China, Korean traditional clothes and hats were regarded as representative of Korean travel. And in the game "Overwatch", Korean traditional skins were made every New Year. Until this time, there was no big backlash from the Chinese. The point I'm talking about is that from 'some time', the Chinese suddenly treated Korea as a thief. In the 20th century, Japan represented Asia and spread many cultures. And in the 21st century, K-pop, K-dramas, and K-movies spread rapidly. When Japan and Korea spread culturally, China worked only on the economic side. China was weak in the power of cultural dissemination. China is now afraid to lose control of Asian culture to Korea.
Obviously, the Chinese Communist Party is thoroughly suppressing the SNS of its own people. However, when disputes arise on social media, Chinese people constantly flock. Isn't it weird? China hired 10 million comment part-time jobs. I don't know how many more now. These Chinese have written for their parties to educate their people about socialism and inspire patriotism.
It is so pitiful for the Chinese who were trapped in a huge prison called China, who were brainwashed and lost their freedom of conscience without knowing the facts. Hanbok is Hanbok. Hanpu is Hanpu.
In the past, I was really annoyed by the Chinese people who were spoiled and forced to make their own arguments. But these days, I feel compassion for them.

Vietnamese person here. I know Dai Viet people came from China originally, we were one of the many ethnicities in China. We then migrated towards south east asia. We had many conflict. Modern day south vietnam was occupied by the Cham people who are phenotypically different than east asians. They were muslims, we had some conflict with them and Dai Viet decided to invade and annex them, we didn't do genocide, we made them have same name, tradition, culture and language as us(which prevented conflict/tension, unlike what's going on with israel and palestine) and we mixed with them.
I live in Canada and people ask if I'm either chinese, japanese or korean.
I notice in this comment section, some east asians are racist by implying that we are somehow "disgusting" for mixing with the Cham people. Getting cocky due to extensive plastic surgery, skin bleaching and skin care which contredicts the appreciation of natural beauty. But personally I think skin care is fine, I just don't like the other 2 practices.
Some of them here are nice and say we are bros. And they do point out how japan, korea and vietnam should be thankful for cultural influence from China, it's true. But at the same time not really. We were all originally from the same region of China. We can't really say we stole from each other since originally, we were the same people who just migrated to different region. Btw my last name is Vu(pronounced Vũ) which apparently derives from China and refers to military service, the art of fighting, wrestling or judo, as per meaning of 武.
Truth is we have diverse phenotypes in Vietnam. We are geographically in south east asia. Wether we are like or not like east asian doesn't really matter since we are proud of who we are.

Can we not talk about which culture influenced which, or which culture is claiming other culture’s clothing is theirs, and just simply admire these gorgeous dresses? All these countries are relatively close to one another and there has been trade between them, it’s not strange that there are similar elements. What’s really unique is how the clothing style grew and changed in its own country over time, resulting in dresses that all have their own different styles. For example, the Japanese dresses seem to have the most layer and colors, while the Korean ones have larger, more regal skirts. The Chinese ones seem to be a mix of a bunch of styles? But in general they are the most diverse, and the dresses from Vietnam seem the most elegant.
This is just my opinion, I came to watch this video for the gorgeous dresses and to see and appreciate their differences, not argue over what culture they “should” belong to. I would also like to say that it would be strange if fashion from countries so close to each other aren’t similar in some ways and that it’s nothing to be ashamed of or something that we should spent a lot of time arguing over.

During the Yuan Dynasty, when the Mongols conquered China, the culture of KORYEO, called'KORYEO-YANG', once became popular. (On the contrary, Mongolian culture was popular in KORYEO: mainly food soju, rice porridge, seolleongtang, etc.) Among the cultures of KORYEO, clothing naturally influenced the Han Chinese clothes in China, and Hanfu became similar to Korean Hanbok. At that time, in the Ming Dynasty of China, the clothes of Joseon ('MAMIGUN' Korean style skirt) is popular In some cases, the Ming Dynasty's HONGZHI DI issued a ban as clothing of other ethnic groups. China is currently distorting history by adhering to the'One China' principle. China is claiming and distorting that even the Mongolian people belong to the history of China. China educates Chinese people that all East Asian cultures are rooted in China. Therefore, it is natural for the Chinese to think that the Hanbok is similar to the Hanfu of the Ming Dynasty, and that the Hanbok is an imitation of Hanfu. Perhaps the Ming Dynasty's HONGZHI DI considers the Chinese a fool.

      韩国电视剧幻想着奇皇后普及了高丽样,但实际上奇皇后是皇帝的第三个皇后,只当了2年多皇后,元朝就灭亡了。此时的元朝已经分裂,没有人会在意宫中的奴隶们穿什么衣服,又怎么可能影响中国服饰???😂😂😂
      最重要的是,诗词文献中对高丽样的描述:“方领过腰半臂裁”,与现在韩服完全不同!与中国明朝服饰也完全不同!但与中国魏晋南北朝时期服饰很相似,是元朝时期的中国已经不流行的服饰风格而已。
      实际上,高丽人全国都效仿蒙古族的服饰会发型,到了明朝时期,中国皇帝朱元璋赐予朝鲜半岛中国的服饰和发型,你们才有了现在所谓的“传统服饰”。证据如下:

    • @hehe-ts7gg
      @hehe-ts7gg ปีที่แล้ว

      以下是韩国高丽时期的正史内容,清楚记载着高丽主动命令全境剃成蒙古族的发型,穿着蒙古人的服饰。到了明朝太祖皇帝,才被赐予汉人服饰,以及学习汉人蓄发的风格:

@BenziX Qing was built and ruled by Manchu, not Han Chinese, and Qipao was evolved from Manchu's traditional clothing, so why would Han Chinese call it our own traditional clothing? China has a long history so what's the point with 1000 years? Some clothing styles are even from 2000 years ago, and they still are our Han Chinese traditional clothing. On the other hand, what Korean and Japanese do is non of our business, we don't judge them if they bring something of them from 1000 years ago, as long as they're happy.

@BenziX I'm not saying all those hanfu in the video are 100% the same as the one back in that eras, also some of them are not real hanfu, we call them only costumes. However, there are so many records, paintings, literature, even unearthed cultural relics all showed us what's the real hanfu look like, and there are plenty of clothes that were made based on that. I just recon the pictures in this video were randomly searched by someone from the internet, not even Chinese maybe, and some of them are only costumes. You can say the clothing in the video are not real hanfu, but you can't say hanfu is not our traditional clothing.

You can't really say It's the best, since all of them are very different and very important. It's a bit disrespectful

@@everythingsfinett3903 very true, I think all of them are beautiful and unique in their own style. We must also remember this video only contains a fraction of the traditional clothing these awesome countries has to offer, from a peasant to a wealth women or even the empress

Actually we love all clothes; oriental or western. Each country's clothes looks very unique & distinctive; Japanese, Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, but it would be better with a little less loudy color. We totally agree with the idea of Sizuhiro Takahashi. We respect his/her polite and intelligent view; not biased, away from nationality, religion or hemisphere. We do not have to criticize different views, too much, by using provocative words or shallow knowledge on the subject. God bless you.
