I have a VTX1300c with the corbin seat. I have roughly 3500 miles on it and I am beyond impressed with the craftsmanship and the comfort. The stock seat gave me back troubles after 15 minutes of riding. I can go hours with this corbin and many more. I recently purchased a VTX 1800r and will get a corbin for it aswell! 10/10 from me

Corbin last 30 years...Tried Ultimate in 18, sold it went back to Corbin....Corbin is a saddle not a seat.Once it breaks in to your butt you don't think about your butt..a wonderful thing...

Corbin, RDL and Ultimate like the Gold Wing come as a result of rider input. They all have street cred. Earned history. Corbin is much like a professional baseball glove. They look and feel better as times goes on. Gorgeous saddle Chris.

I have the Corbin along with the multi adjustment SST HeliBars on my 18 Tour DCT. Great setup. I had the Helibar Risers, but they didn't quite cut it for me. The Corbin is on the firm side, but the shape is great.

I currently have a Corbin seat on my 2018 Tour. I have also had the Ultimate seat, but never had a Day long. I can tell you that the Corbin is by FAR the most comfortable LONG DISTANCE seat I have ever had. But let's be honest, it doesn't matter what we riders say, what is most important is the comfort of our lady passengers. My wife doesn't say much about anything when it comes to the bike, but she has admitted to me that this Corbin seat is the most comfortable seat she has been on from any motorcycle her and I have had (and we have had many over the years...).

Chris, I have a 2021 DTC. I bought the Corbin seat and could not be happier. My only regret is I didn’t do it sooner. You are correct, I sit in the bike versus on top. I did add the help bar risers as well . The experience is much better all the way around . Plus the all black seat on the black out wing looks stunning and feels great. I don’t describe the seat as hard but rather firm and structured which creates a more comfortable ride the just adding more padding .

I ride a Corbin dual standard seat on my 2015 Honda CTX 700N. The stock seat pushed me so far forward, I was having a personal relationship with the gas tank. The Corbin set me back 3 inches and raised me 3 inches. I love it but but did take about 500 miles to break it in. No back pain and I can ride all day now. I had to replace the stock shock with a YSS unit to get rid of the bumps, though.

Your video quality is excellent. I've yet to use 4k but Man your video is top notch. Now i've had Corbin's on a few of my Bmw and Honda's in the past but BOY do they take awhile to break in and truth be told weren't as comfortable in the long run than the Sargeant seats that ultimately(PUN INTENDED) replaced them. Those Corbin's are sharp though and like you stated you can feel the road (bumps included) which isn't such a bad thing when considering the type of bike. That said when i had them on my BMW sport tourers the K1200RS, K1200R and my old R1100RS I LOVED that additional feel and knowledge that I knew what was going on at that contact patch(tire) it really enhanced the ride. For the record never had a RDL but who know comfort is king. Nice video 👍.

Chris I just installed my Corbin seat after five days of hell trying to install. The seat is hard as a rock and I feel all the bumps during my ride, that is a negative for me at this point. When I come to a stop I have to feel for the ground and that is crazy because I am 6”2 and again that part is crazy to me. Also during that part I feel the tightness in my hips and that is my 3rd crazy part about this sent. Now the PROs of the seat is the 2 inch off the gas tank, think God that love affair is over, and the other good part no more pain in my lower back. And yes one more bad thing I can’t get any cool air anymore. I think of all this new seat thing is that I miss the soft ride don’t like the small/large bump feeling it remind me of riding a damn Harley again. Well I guess I will have to do the break in part and I do hope the situation will get better after that because I want to say great thing about this seat like the rest of the guys here.
Thanks and stay safe my brother

I have the RDL seat and don’t feel the bumps as it has more cushion, and yes, I sit more on top of the bike. I also have the Helibars which improved my ergonomics a lot. I wish there was a way to sit down in the pocket, with more cushion and not feel the bumps, but I love the RDL. There was no breakin period for me …. Comfortable from the moment I sat on it. I had gone OEM - > Wingsoft -> RDL. OEM was about 1 hour until my butt hurt, Wingsoft was 4-5 hours then my butt hurt. RDL my butt has never hurt even after weeks on the road with some 10-12 hour days.
Chris, I would love to hear about your Denali lights under your mirrors…. That is what I am looking at next to get more light when it is dark.

I INSTALLED A ULTIMATE SEAT ON MY GL1500 ABOUT A YEAR AGO BUT, AFTER ABOUT 2 HOURS I STILL EXPERIENCE LOWER BACK PAIN DUE TO SURGERY ON MY L4, L5 LUMBAR. I RECENTLY INSTALLED A GELL PAD IN THE SEAT; THEREFORE I WILL TRY THAT OUT FOR THIS RIDING SEASON TO SEE HOW IT FAIRS. IF NOT SO GOOD I HAVE ANOTHER GEL/FOAM PAD COMBINATION THAT I INSTALLED IN MY ORIGINALGL1500 SEAT THAT WORKED WELL. THEN THAT WILL BE THE NEXT MOVE TO GET IT RIGHT THE SECOND TIME.

I have Corbin on my older Honda ST1300. It’s okay not that exceptional plus the risers are overkill too as pit stops are at 200 miles no matter how comfy you are For me, the standard setup on my 2021 Honda GW DCT is just fine

    I have two Goldwings: a 2001 and a 2002.
I picked up an ultimate seat for the 2001 and I had the seat for the 20O2 reupholstered and re padded by an upholstery shop.
the seat for the 20O2 is way more comfortable than the ultimate seat -front and passenger ..
the ultimate it’s just too hard I don’t get what’s ultimate about it

Hey Chris, enjoy your videos. Can you or other riders comment on the best installations for holding cell phones, cameras, GoPro, etc. Probably want to mount a GoPro on my helmet. I'm working in Europe and had my 2010 Goldwing shipped here. I'm a new Goldwing rider, but I have about 50k experience on the roads back in the states with my Harley. Thanks for advice and stay safe out there.

Bump your suspension setting to one up with a load. If you weigh over or near 200 lbs, you'll get a much better ride. That's one of the first things I noted with my 2019.

That’s a pretty pimpy looking seat. My butt absolutely hates a Corbin. To me it’s like riding on a concrete slab. It’s hands down the hardest seat on the market. I’ll take RDL

    Greeting CC
Just got my just got my Corbin seat this morning at about 10:45 hours. I have been trying to install this seat for about 4 hours now and still I can’t get the bolts in the holds on my 2021 Goldwing DCT. Bro, I watched your video and it was easy for you for some reason, can you give me some tips on the install. I have called Corbin about six times already and noting from them. It’s a shame that I can’t install a $1300 seat on a $30K bike. I never had this problem before with Harleys. Last, can anyone out there give a brother a tip on install of my Corbin seat please.
Thanks and stay safe out there
