    Thank you for this video! I am new to the GL1800 family and was trying to figure out where the jack should ride to safely lift my bike up so I can change the tires! I appreciate you taking the time to educate!

      These are one of two that are good for the Gl1800. the J&S Jack and the PitBull is another. I have friends with the PitBull and they love it also. the PitBull raises higher and has a wider footprint but does flex a bit more and doesn't have as much ground clearance which can be a problem if your floor or driveway is a bit uneven. I don't have the Goldwing anymore and still use the J&S to lift my Harley Road Glide. my bike stays on the jack all winter while I clean and service it with no issues at all.... Thanks for watching ......................JB..

    FYI the adapter they're selling for the 2018 + doesn't work at all. Better off just using a long piece of wood, thick enough that it hits the bottom of the engine before it hits the exhaust on the left side which is lower on the newer Goldwings. Be sure to raise the bike to 2 riders with luggage before you start.

      I too found out this 2018 plus adapter is not a fit and finish comparable. I have asked for advice from J&S and find their customer service after purchase is less than responsive. No mention in their instructions of raising the bike suspension or adding thicker rubber supports. An older video show the goldwing with rubber protection two to three times thicker. The air release on the jack bottle seems to be in constant change, white removable handle, a long rod with round handle, and my latest is a short handle similar to the retention locks, and very difficult to reach when positioning the bike. Three years running now for the 2018 plus and no video on the configuration.

      @@Jarvisbiker … I ordered mine in June and am still waiting. Last month I was told it would be a week longer but crickets and the folks over at J&S are very difficult to reach and receive a reply

      @@wingandhog this has to be a manpower or Covid related issue for them to be taking this long.
      i am in the manufacturing business and getting parts and materials has become a great challenge for everybody. I'm sorry your having this experience and hope you J&S comes soon. I suggest you keep trying as when I had small issue with mine they were awesome in communication so hopefully they get back to you - they wont want anyone not satisfied for sure.

      @@Jarvisbiker … You nailed it. I think they said it’s a challenge getting steal parts. I get it. I can also wait, they’re the best. But timely communication is not dependent on any supply or Cov related issues.

    Really no need for it until your bike goes over and spits the jack from under the bike. Seen it happen. If it can happen it will. If it can't happen, it will find a way..

      @Jarvisbiker  ปีที่แล้ว

      If your careful where its placed the bike is very stable, I had the whole front end off the goldwing which made the rear the heavy side and jack was very stable, no complaints from me on J&S

    Did you review this video BEFORE you posted it? Difficult to follow with the poor lighting and camera angles.

      hi Lance = yes i repeatedly review them all and had just updated to new software in which some of the settings were not correct while rendering the video, I'm working out the bugs and finding proper controls features as i work with the new.. thank you for the comments and for watching...

    Can you store your bike for the winter on the jack or do you have to lower it to the ground if you're going to raise it for a long period of time?

    • @Jarvisbiker
      @Jarvisbiker  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      i leave it up all winter by engaging the safety locks and then releasing the pressure in the Bottle Jack then i close the bottle jack Valve again
      this takes the pressure off the seals so they dont leak or get damaged.
      also see comments below about being shut down for Covid reasons.

      I bought mine direct . Shipping, exchange rate and duty was not nice but it was less than the pit Bull jack.

    I’ve had one since 2014... the hydraulic cylinders they use are garbage, their customer service is shit and they are NOT competitively priced... they are 2-3x more than other capable jacks. I would NOT buy another one!
