Big Al's Musician's Swap Meet. This event is held at Renningers Flea Market, Mt Dora, FL. It is currently, Second Sunday of every January, March, May, September and November.
I was in the area in November but missed it, had other plans. Hopefully next time.
Looks like fun! Old Squiers are now seen as a good value. My first guitar way back in '86 was a Squier strat. I've owned my guitars since, rocked the Sunset Strip in the late 80s with Charvels, Kramers, you name it, and my latest guitar? An HSS Squier Sonic strat I got for $160 with a free setup at Guitar Center. I'm not rocking through a Boogie or Marshall these days, but I love my little Roland Micro Cube. Till I get a Katana or maybe Fender, this is good enough. Cool video!
What are the times?

@@HankPlaysGuitar Bass Player Here.... Got a Nice "5 String Fender Jaguar"🐆 I'm Wanting to Get Rid of(Among Other Gear I have I'm Not Using).... Will Take "Cash"💸.... or Do a Trade for Some Pedal's for it(the "Fender Jaguar")
I got infected with the guitar bug back in the 60s thanks to the Beatle Boys. Consequently, I just love your forays into the guitar shows. Please keep it up. They are so satisfyingly rewarding for me. One day maybe I'll learn to play something.
Thanks Marvin, I will go to a show when I can. There are a limited number a year here. But I should be at all of them.
Thanks, Hank. You said you were going back, I was looking forward to it, and you delivered. Highlight of my day! Did a little plumbing work while this was playing through the first time, had a small flood/mishap, had the wife yell at me, and I turned the volume up so I wouldn’t have to hear her. ;-) Rock on!
America is great what a great day out for any guitar player we dont have stuff like this in the U.K. Im so jealous
That's a bummer. Thank you Dusty
Maybe you could put one together?
I love everything about this flea market.
I would plan a vacation around this destination.
Yeah, I'm that kind of crazy.
I don’t think that’s crazy to anyone watching a video like this
Those made in Japan Fernandes are fantastic guitars.
Your videos are worth money! Great stuff, I was stressed before I watched these 2 from Mt. Dora, now I'm cool as a cucumber!
Nice man, glad you like the vids
Absolutely stunning Squiers at Billy Fender's booth
That was a Kremona at 9:12 handmade in Bulgaria, great guitars. Awesome video, wish I was there.
I wasn’t sure what that was but I could tell it was well made.thanks
The acoustic Kremona you saw is actually a Bulgarian guitar. The factory is still producing guitars now :) And they are very good.
It's good I'm no where near a flee market like this one, I wouldn't be able to resist this, so many gems. Dude that Kremona is a good classical guitar from eastern europe, and that takamine 😍. So many good stuff
Thanks again for visiting us and posting another video. Hope to see you again at our March 10th event. Big Al.
Thank you Al, I should be there!
That Fernandes is sick!!!
My favorite had to be the Silverburst G&L you passed by really quick. Looked like a great axe if it was a USA version.
Very enjoyable video. The Guitar Center guy was definitely a highlight. Guitar Frog Rocks!
Thank you Don, yeah Guitar Frog is in my previous market video as well.
3:17 those headphone amps sound killer keep in mind you can run them not only to headphones but anything that has an aux in i used to run mine into a car /computer speaker's/powered cabs /Bluetooth speakers/computer and it always sounded amazing for the price i recommend anyone who cant jam loud to get it i had the vox metal 1&2 and oh my god did it sound great with no hiss no buzz had a noise gate and a few effects built In its very very versatile
Excellent. Thank you .
My brother had a guitar in the mid 90s that looked very similar to that Starforce, but it was black and the design looked exactly like that, but more lightening-y looking.
This was awesome Hank! Always enjoy these...really wish there was a flea market like this close to me but it would get expensive! Rock on.
Lol, thank you Han. Yeah they have this every couple months. I will try to make videos when I can.
Man, I’m a guitar junky and I was just in Daytona Beach from Pittsburgh visiting over the holidays for 3 weeks. Wish I knew this existed then
This would be a fun event to attend. I like the prices. One of the best parts.
I grab Fernandes off ebay all the time from the Japan market. You can get like new for 3-400 bucks with shipping if you shop careful.
Great video! It seems with every guitar there’s usually a story behind it. So it was interesting to hear some of the sellers stories.
Kremona makes nice classical builds out of Bulgaria, they are readily available on the new and used market. Also, it was pretty normal back in the 70's for Takamine , Sigma (and others) to copy the Martin font (as well as Gibson trademark infringements) .
Yeah,I had a d28 Takamine Martin copy.looked and sounded like a Martin
I believe that Mustang is a '68. There is a rectangular red light right in front of the rear bumper where it curves around to the body. I don't believe the '67 model had those.
I WANT that case for My Mad Cat!😎
That Takamine classical was actually from a period where they tried to imitate Martin. Known as the “Lawsuit Era”.
I love MIJ guitars!!! I wish I had access to such swap meets! Rock on Bro.
Very nice guitars!
Cool flea market . Thanks for sharing with us.
My pleasure!
wow, lots of cool stuff on there.
That Takamine acoustic is very rare, and that’s a killer Fernandes Strat .
2:41 theres a Squier pawnshop 51! A relatively sought after guitar and a decent sounding one at that for what it is. I owned one last year but it wasn’t for me, still nice to see some out in the wild!
😂 I watched it ! I wish the Gibson les paul jr. Was in my area !
That RG is one of the better ones. It has the Lo-Pro Edge trem system. Only the real high-end spec stuff gets one of those.
That Carvin Bolt kit guitar is a great guitar for little money. And the Larrivee is a Martin for 2/3 the price, they're the only acoustics I still have.
Yeah I’m a big fan of Larrivee. Very nice guitars.
SOO COOL PLACE😎😎
Nice job on the video - I'm a old Florida boy , gotta go to this Flea market someday , got relatives all over that area.
Thanks man
Great video 👊💪
a white cort was my first guitar i wish i lived close to this flea market swap meet
Thank you for this. Interesting.
Thank you Stephen!
video was awesome I hope I can go to one of these one day
Really liked that Fernandez
That thing was pretty sweet
What a wonderful video have a wonderful day Hank ❤😊
You as well, thank you 😊
Cool, i saw you other ones.
I ended up buying that Chibson. Not bad for a couple hundred bucks. Dude even threw in a gig bag. There were a ton of deals there
There are a couple guitars I will buy from that guy if he still has them next show.
The mustang is a 1968. You can tell because of the side marker lights that became a federal requirement for all 1968 model year passenger cars. It's the easiest way to tell a 67/68 mustang apart, camaro, imapala everything
Cool info man, 😎
Please! We would really be interested in seeing the asking prices of the guitars you show. It may make your videos a bit longer but that’s ok too. That’s why we watch! Thanks!!
I'll show the price tags the next show.
Dang! Was just in Mt. Dora and Renningers. Had no idea about this.
nice, it's like NAMM for budget guyss
Hey Hank, I saw you there just as we were both walking in, I told you I saw you on YT. I was disappointed because the weather was cool and the gate attendant said that only half the vendors showed up. I'll go back in March.
It got pretty busy when I was leaving. There were some missing venders though.
Awesome people
That Allen Eden was sweet too!! Sick case. That seems like a good deal.
Those bakelite (?) encased amps looked ultra rare. Never seen those before.
Instrument "swap meets" are a great way to barter yourself into a good guitar - or vice versa.
Thanks I appreciate your content 👍
Thank you Rusty, I appreciate you
I heard of Edan because they came up when I was looking for parts (necks, bodies) and I have use a couple of their necks and their nice.
thx from France, keep on man
Thank you Howl
I love your flea market walkabouts; great stuff...
Thank you Heka!
The model number for the Ibanez RG should be printed on the back of the headstock.
My 80s Roadstar II has NO model designation on it and it's and RG315 It's the way they came. 👀
@@cuda426hemi I had either an '85 or '86 Roadstar II. It had RS440 on the back .
@@JoeR203 Mine is '83 blue flame cream humbucker identical to Lukather model but with 1 instead of 2 buckers. Gold Ibanez logo on headstock, Roadstar II Series w/tiny "Ultimate Expression Of Craftmanship" under logo, nothing on back, chrome neckplate has serial and "made in Japan" engraved . Dats It. 👀
@@cuda426hemi Okay so maybe in later years they started putting model numbers on. Mine had one. Newer models have them. The RG in this video didn't seem that old.
That case is worth 300 alone
The Takamine acoustic guitar with the Martin style logo are sleepers.......if you can buy them for under 500 dollars
I used to have the d28 Takamine but I’d love one of those slotted headstock ones.they are really well built
You really missed out on that cow.. that thing was dope af
A dead giveaway are side marker lights usually indicate 1968.
Prices?? The Fernandes and the little Hondo would have left with me, Mercifully I live in Austin.
What was the price of that golden fernandes? Thanx brother! 🤔
@@tymanngruter1808 I will get the price tags in all future videos. It's a huge request.
@thestereoclub6735 I will get the price tags in all future videos. It's a huge request.
Nice 😍😍😍😍😍
The Carvin's called the Bolt.
That gold top Fernandez was a winner in my book, i never saw the price. But dudeeee... the woodgrain on that was insaine.
Yep, nice guitar. I am showing prices in all future videos.
In the 80s , had a Carlo Robelli "Lawsuit" strat
Dropped 3 original Dannelectro pups in it like SRVs
White , maple neck , pearl logo inlay
I miss it
Ghat takamine lawsuit acoustic was sweet
Dude!!!!!! That is Awesome!!!!!!!! Do They have Other Gear Like "Amps" "Pedal's" Etc Etc??? Oops.... Answered My Question.... You Showed Some Pedal's.... I'm Soooo There!!!!!!!!
great job m8
Thank you Brett
33:34 It's a Hammer Dulcimar
great video buddy. im a les paul and strat player from the 70s. interesting guitars there. thats a bullit mustang at the end. the movie bullit!! copy but nice

My god i wish i could just spend the day here !

Greetings from Malaysia ❤❤❤🇲🇾🇲🇾
Greetings
Aww man I wish there was something like this near me
Some pretty good viewing figures again Hank.
You're Looking good.
Life is very hectic at my end!
Later 🐊
Hopefully things get better for you JaanJaan. I am going to another show this coming weekend.
Second time in a row I have missed it . Live in Apopka . Jeez .
Wish someone would organise something like this in Uk
I would have grabbed the Allen Eden guitar for that price. Super nice for a kit guitar. Where can I buy one like that? (already made)
Wish I was there😮
heaven!!!
How is it I can watch this type stuff for hours
It's a tenor banjo. You play jigs and reels as opposed to 5 string for playing chords....
Un sueño de mercadillo ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Damn that Fernandez looked brand new.
Looked awesome
I didn't see my man Ray set up. Hope to see him in Orlando.
That DeArmand hollowbody was a expensive guitar. Gretsch by Fender made...I believe. A buddy has a 7 string DeArmond that is worth around $1200...😮
I have a challenge for you!
Build a guitar with parts from this market.
That might be a good video
There are no such flea markets where I live, so I couldn't do it myself, but I'd love to, it was my first thought when I saw your first flea market video: "gee, I bet if I walked around here like a buffet I could make a sweet partscaster!
I believe in you!@@HankPlaysGuitar
Crap! That gold Tele is on my list!! Grab it! Lol! I'll pay ya back!!😊 Jespo NYC
You should check that one out. Curious what they asked for it. That's a MIK Aztec Gold HH w Dimarzios...well,it should be anyway lol
Great video. What town and how often do they have this?
Thanks, Mt Dora, FL. It is currently, Second Sunday of every January, March, May, September and November
Man I so wished you would have shown that cream telecaster at guitar center booth. And I would have bought that Harley Benton tele. Too cheap
I would've snagged the harley benton and that jackson
Left hand bass guitar with your case ❤🎉😊
What did that golden fernandes costs? Nice show, i liked it a lot! Thanx! 🎯
I will get the price tags in all future videos. It's a huge request. Thank you Tymann!
