It's not that he doesnt try. He cant sing. Hes studio made. They still make good music though so whatever. Just a waste of money to see them live. Cuz they're trash.
Jose Durazo When he records his vocals in the studio he sings notes that are so high that he can only pull them off sometimes so he doesn't even attempt them live.
Ahren tends to sound flat singing youngbloods. It’s because in that era he sung from his throat. He no longer does it so when he switches back to produce the sound it wrecks his throat
To be fair, the way he did those vocals are super harsh on your throat and you can tell that's where he sings from. I love TAA and I've seen videos where both vocalists have disappointed me but that's just it - not everyone is going to have a spot on performance every day on tour.
The same thing applies to all forms of vocals. If you're singing from the throat, it's going to hurt your throat. If you listen to how he sings on Youngbloods you can hear how he sings from the throat. Plus he smokes cigarettes and I'm sure that doesn't help.
