These are GREAT!! Stamping looks wonderful. I like the little lines & bits left on background of stamp. It makes it look like the old wood cuts they used to do. Rustic!! Great job on these. You look pretty good at carving these. Its extra cool when you make stamp yourself!! Thx for video. Austin,TX USA
You seem like a real whiz with this cutting tool! They always make me a bit nervous, so perhaps I'm a bit more timid when cutting mine out. LOVE this idea of making your very own cuttings and stamps. Thanks Michelle, for the great instructions .
Thank you so much. It’s a very fun medium to play with. Just keep your fingers out the way. I find it so fun to make my very own stamps. Hope you give it a try
Lol... I kept tensing up when you were cutting away afraid it was going to slip but of course you have skills. I really like your botanical stamps. Love the organic look!🌱
Aww thank you. You could trace an image on with transfer paper just remember that the carving will print in reverse. 😊 hope that works for you. Happy carving
What is the funny thing is that it isn't that you can't draw but that you haven't figured it out yet! Taking cheap paper and a pen or pencil and just seeing what happens when you sit down to sketch anything in front of you... Salt shaker, for instance, you will be surprised how quickly good observation observation and slow drawing will result in recognizable things! Be critical, but only in figuring out what could improve it, not in saying how bad it is! Keep the early things. You will love seeing how far you have come!
My son whittles and craves wood like no one’s business but, very busy with 2 young boys and he’s a very busy engineer living 5 hours away 🥺 but perhaps I could send him your video but I do have this foam . Oh me
Bought the kit, made my first mushroom with turned out..ok. I do like it but I'm hoping my skills improve. I find it really hard to make the thin lines of the ribs underneath the mushroom cap, even with the deep V. I need a deep V that is more narrow, or something. Any suggestions?
I found that part challenging as well. I took some scrap and practiced. It’s all about the pressure you apply to the blade. It only has to be carved lightly to show up in the print. So practice lines by pushing it hard and light and then print the scrap you will see the range of thickness in the lines. I hope that helps. So happy you are trying it 😊
I want to do this so bad. I remember doing this in high school and loved it!
It’s so much fun! And relatively affordable.

Thank you. I really like the messy look as well it feels more hand made and rustic. Thank you for watching.
Love these!!

Quite therapeutic watching you cut away the lino. I think I might try this - we did this type of thing with potatoes at school 🤎🤎🤎🤎
Potatoes what a fun idea! Thank you for watching 😊
I just bought a Speedball block printing set, so this video comes at the perfect time for me. Thanks.
