Ignore the left side. Keep summoning sword and shield units on the right with 1 cleric. Once you knock out the right tower they will mob the center. Summon Cloud and Tifa at the same time, put a ballista down in the rear and it’s over. This had me so frustrated but this strategy finished him off with over a minute left
This comment alone is the fastest way to beat this. I tried following the video and you have to time things just right. I kept losing at the last second when he would freeze Tifa and Cloud. The strat in this comment finished Gilgamesh in half the time as this video.
Actually superb strategy. Only thing I'll add is to put 1 archer on the left once the two units have locked on to your left tower (so your archer doesn't get targeted). This will ensure you kill the units on the left and push the line of defense out enough for you to drop Cloud/Tifa tgt on top of the enemies in the right lane.
I didn't like fort Condor in this version of the game. No assassin's boards, no altering troops and no gaining more. They really limited it for some reason, I'm just glad I got it over and done with
They ruined the original condor mini game. I loved it on OG FF7, now we have this BS. The timer is the dumbest thing. Does not allow for defensive play. This simplified crappy version of the original is the worst thing about rebirth

Worked great. Elite enforcer on the right, ignoring the left, cloud to finish off the flying mob, and just battering the boss with trebuchets at the end was key
Took me an hour to do this, then have hard mode a chance assuming I'd get wrecked, and beat it in the first attempt with 45 seconds left. Spawn Cloud and Tifa together, build a 4 deep line of ballista directly in front of the Captain. Make 2 clerics to keep Cloud & Tifa alive. Murder.
Tip: one of the recent patches added a 'decrease difficulty' option for the Fort Condor fights. Press L3 when selecting units before the fight to enable it.
The difficulty spike in this part came out of nowhere 😭. When i saw him use stop and the clock winding down i was like "no way!" Only managed by at 0.8 seconds 😂

I think it's a step down from intermission cuz at least then you had more options and were able to freely pick your pieces instead of just four slates of fixed shit.

did they patch the fights or is there RNG involved? i really try to copy that video as accurate as possible. but where your enemies get defeated, my enemies defeat my attackers and crawl on my territory forcing me into a defensive position.
RNG, like a lot of the other minigames; there hasn't been a patch yet for anything since the game is pretty much functional save for the garishly soft image quality in Performance mode
After almost 15 attempts I caved and looked up this video. Ignoring the left side (for the most part) and switching Barrett for Tifa helped alot. Also recommend saving a Cleric until you set up your Trebuchets/Ballistas on the commander bc their magic heals any damage they might take. Thanks for the tips man

Then followed the same pattern for a while as you, then spammed elite vanguard at around the 1 min 30 mark. Finally did it that time round. JFC this level was horrid 😂
So annoying, i legit got to him with 5-6 units on my 2nd attempt but he used stop and the timer ran out. All they have to do is remove that as part of his move list and the difficulty drops tremendously

Once you manage to get closer to the comander and he focus on beating your pawns, put some catapult in front of him (at distance clearly) so the catapult will keep damaging Him even when you pawns are stopped
It took me two tries using your strategy. I’m not sure what happened the first time, I must have missed a step. The second time I was careful to watch the timer as you spawned everything.

Yeah this game mode sucks ass. The DLC version was so much better. I'm trying to platinum it too and tbh the mini games is what's making me second guess that goal. You have to complete every minigame with the high scores and I'm dreading the idea of it

Managed to scrape by on the last seconds with Barret and the clerics finishing off the boss. That time stop has to be the most BS thing I've seen in a while. Preventing you from playing the game, in a time-based minigame no less, is just the polar opposite of fun.

This was unneccessarily difficult but once you realise to throw 1 elite enforcer down the right with 3 clerics and an elite vanguard down the left to deal with anything else and plump your line up with enforcers as needed it isnt really that difficult. The hard bit is the battle 3 and 4 bosses. I just spammed them with trebuchets and wasnt too difficult.
