At 72 and growing up with 60s, 70s, 80s and 90s music, Nightwish is the best music I've found in 30 years. They leave smiles on faces and even a tear and chills. Some of the best musicians I've seen. Thx for reacting to Nightwish. 🙏 Glad you liked this song. The Warning is my absolute favorite band, closely followed by Nightwish and Floor. Grtz from The Netherlands
This singer, Floor Jansen, is the third but by far the most versatile singer in Nightwish. At this concert in front of 82,000 every song (15) was written before Floor joined the band for either the operatic first singer, Tarja Turunen (1996-2005) or the pop second singer, Anette Olzon (2007-2012) and she takes every song to another level. She had been with the band for ten months at this concert and it is considered to be a definitive moment in the Nightwish history. It does also mean that any music video of every song on this setlist won't feature Floor which is why the vast majority of fans will ask for live preferably 2013 onwards. Both previous singers have their fans because some great music was written during their tenures and many are loyal regardless of their ability.
Floor also kills singing the sultry & jazzy Anette era song Slow Love Slow, which was in the 2012 set list when she joined Nightwish mid world tour, but it is not in the Wacken set list.
@@ecbftl of course it's the only one that Anette's fans suggest live because it's one of very few where Anette stays in tune. But recently Floor covered it too in a solo performance and again nails it.
@@clivematthews5296 Yes, Anette's Monterey Jazz festival redition with Nightwish is good, but the Oct 2012 fan cams of Floor in small venues in Orlando and Ft Lauderdale 2 weeks after joining the Nightwish Tour are amazing, Floor is sultry, Jukka playing with brushes on Drums is intense, and Emppu is happy having fun with the audience. The ending soaring vocals with Floor gives me real Pink Floyd vibes.
“Ghost Love Score” at Wacken 2013 is the absolute Reaction Spectacular mind-blowing performance that is a must to review. It is an experience unlike any other.
Their reaction was.... I'll be nice and say they just didn't get it. They had no understanding of symphonic metal as a genre, so they did not comprehend the song structure, the use of orchestral instruments, and they had little appreciation for the diversity of vocal styles from Floor. Of course, they got roasted in the comments by the Nightwish army. I'm not surprised they pulled the video. But kudos to them for giving Nightwish another try.
Don't expect every Nightwish song to be like this. Every song is different and each one an adventure. You'll find rock, ballads, Celtic Rock each one unique. I've been listening to rock music since 1956 and this is the best band I've ever heard.
I love that you know just by listening to the band that it's not heavy metal. I don't understand how people who know about music don't know symphonic metal (singers, musicians, producers) who don't understand what they hear, spectacular reaction without many pauses, they earned a subscriber. congratulations
With this genre live shows are safer. Epica's label blocks official video reactions but not live performances for example. Nightwish mostly allows everything these days.
as long as you pause a time or two they usually get through the youtube censors... they do have some amazing official videos, they are terrific actually.... same as their live play, which is where most people go because they are so tight playing onstage, that's rare for a band to play the way they do live, even floor the vocalist has no autotune or any electronic help and she still kills it every time. I'd recommend Noise official video, or for another live how about Seven Days to the Wolves live at Wembley
NWA Canada checking in different song different style, they have many. Happy to see your reaction to this song and that they impressed you this time. Watching for future reactions to Nightwish so you truly see how totally awesome they really are.
I once found a couple of all Hietala "trio" videos from around 2020 when he played Bass and sang a bunch of Black Sabbath songs with his brother on Lead guitar and his son on Drums. Music runs in the family.
As you seem to like Nightwish I am sure that you would like EPICA as well. Try ‘Unleashed’Live from their 10 year anniversary show Retrospect. Symphonic metal complete with a full symphony orchestra and choir. Dont worry about live from Nightwish and EPICA as they don’t block and live is always best.
Nightwish Army, Scandinavian division reporting for duty! Luckilly Nightwish record label is really god with the reactors, so you should stick to their live stuff as they are even better live than in the studio. You should check out "Ghost Love Score" next and then Gabriel will find you guys and give you ALL the information you need ;) #WeWereHere
Thank you for this reaction! Wellcome to Nightwish world.🙂 👍 Wellcome to music of Nightwish. Others will give you more information with better english, so I just say thank you one more time and Greetings from Finland! (by Nightwish fan since 1998)
In case no one’s mentioned it, the flaming bull head represents the name of the music festival, which is pronounced Vah-ken. Also, Marko, the bass player, has a voice that’s just as powerful and versatile as Floor’s. He once said in an interview that he loves singing with her because he doesn’t have to hold back.
Nice of you to be back with Nightwish. Yes, they are the real deal. And yes, they are symphonic metal. One thing; a huge amount of the sounds are backing tracks. So, if you hear a symphonic orchestra or a big choir, then those are exactly what it sounds like and those people are probably from London. The orchestra is probably London Philharmonic Orchestra and I do not remember the name of the choir. The main genius behind it all is the keyboard player Toumas Holopainen. The guitarist is Emppu Vuorinen. The bassist, and backup singer is Marko Heitala. They have had three singers. The first one Tarja Turunen, a fantastic opera singer. The second one was Anette Olzon, and was really nothing special. The third one is the one in this song, Floor Jansen from Netherlands, totally fantastic. They have had several drummers, the ones I remember are Kai Hahto and the one here, Jukka Koskinen. As you can see from the names, they are from Finland where they speak a language almost no one else speaks. Unfortunately the bassist left some months ago. That was a huge loss. Partly because he is a great bass player but mostly because he is a very good singer. There is one more in Nightwish that not always is obvious and this is Troy Donockley from England, plays diverse strange instruments. He is actually a rather good singer and he has some duets with Floor. I am not sure about the current bassist status, but it might be moot anyhow as they currently is on a hiatus. After this information, I will be back later with some good songs to listen too. I assume some will be before me.
Welcome to the Nightwish rabbit hole. It's very nice in here, I have been since 1998 after my very first NW concert. 🤘😁🤘 Greetings from a Finn🇫🇮 in Norway🇳🇴
Nightwish Army, Carolina division checking in. Nightwish is very much a live experience. They have about a hundred professionally filmed live songs out there on TH-cam recorded from performances from all around the world. Being symphonic metal allows them to take their music just about anywhere... they have the longer, grand, epic event style songs like "Ghost Love Score" and also have several of the more classic heavy metal style songs... and just about everything in between. They even have songs with a touch of that Celtic Rock kind of vibe. But no matter what basic style of song they are going for, they will all have those classic symphonic elements that gives the music it's fuller, richer kind of sound. You should see General Gabriel around here somewhere, he will fill you in with a suggested play list and links to ease you in... all I will say is, be careful with the recordings you chose, some of the earlier ones were re-encoded by fans to try to make the video HD. But unfortunately, the process also slowed the music down a few percent. Hardly noticeable to a first-time listener... but very noticeable to someone that has heard it at full speed a few dozen times. Welcome and Good Luck...
Hey Bros!! Good reaction!! Thanks. Welcome to the world of Nightwish. Her name is Floor Jansen. She's 6.1 foot tall. Please keep on with your Nightwish reactions. Greettings from Argentina. Sorry for my English
I really enjoyed that 👍 Love to see music industry people discover Nightwish, as you guys can see the talent and efford needed to pull of a performance like NW do. I've had the pleasure of seeing them in concert twice over the last years and they just bring it all every time.
Thank you!!!!!!! You know Floor (the lead singer here) is a great singer but you clearly have no idea how amazing of a singer Marko (the basist) is 😁 Song of Myself is a great song to continue this journey, also live from Wacken 2013. Nightwish has had 3 different lead singers. Floor is the third one. They started in 1996 and one of the founding members of Nightwish was their original singer, Tarja Turunen. After her came Anette Olzon and in 2012 Floor stepped in and has stayed ever since. So just a heads up that there are different singers, so you don't get confused.
Hi! It´s nice to see you guys here, I think musicians really can appreciate in a proff way the music of Nightwish. I liked your accurate comments and I hope you will do more with Nightwish. Nightwish music has never been blocked as many many times I`ve been watching these. Yes this was a Wacken concert in front of 82k audience. "Ever dream", "Ghost love Score" from this same concert or "Shudder Before the Beautiful" starting the London Wembley concert, some songs from Nightwish since 1996 they started. I´d really like to see you both more. Greets from Finland, the homeland of Nightwish. Take care.
if you want to experience and understand nightwish, then check out the poet and the pendulum! Powerful and superbly composed Metal alternates with soulful pipes from Floor. Each band member is in their own class without putting themselves in the foreground! THAT makes Nightwish an experience!
Jump in to the rabbit hole of Nightwish you will be surprised by every new song. And keep with the Live versions they are so much better then the recorded once.

If you want more on the bassist Marko Hietala who sings here, try their joint version of "The Phantom of the opera"! They are both amazing in that setup!
I never knew symphonic metal existed before this band. I actually started with the 1st singer and they’ve had three, all of which are great. This is Floor and this is one of my favourites. Their discography is massive and yet mostly all of their songs sound different. I hope you fall in love with them like I did
Hi guys, Nightwish army member from West Germany coming in! Welcome to the wonderful world of symphonic metal! I really liked your reaction. You two are in the music Industrie too so I guess this rabbithole will give you a lot of joy!! A few fun facts for you: Tuomas is the keyboardist and mastermind of NW, he writes and composes most of the songs. Floor is our Valkyrie Godess, she can sing anything and almost always gives you that goosebombs, which are called "floorgasms". The bassist is Marko (the viking), the drummer is Jukka (the pirate) and the guitarist is Empuu (the hobbit). I hope for more reactions to NW from you. If you want to hear more operatic style, epic songs I recommend "The greatest show on earth" live at Tampere. A song about the evolution of the earth inspired, among other things, by Richard Darkins and also commented on by him. The man who plays the flute and various other instruments is Troy (not on stage with Romanticide), the 6th NW member.

Their live performances are usually better than their studio recordings.
the Finnish symphonic metal band, Nightwish. Greetings from Finland 🤘
👍👍👍Nightwish is awesomely awesome. 🖖❤
It's a great concert!
a real masterpiece of Nightwish : The poet and the pendulum
Yes, they have actual videos. Each of them has a TH-cam channel. Check Nightwish's channel; you will find more information there.
Agreed, but don't forget Shoemaker and Tribal official videos.
@@martinklaus2203 agreed, they have so many awesome ones with Floor on vocals nowadays. and I almost put down the Tribal official live video as well
No need to pause at all, their videos are never blocked
Please continue with Nightwish. You have NO IDEA what you are about to experience. You guys cant miss out on that journey 💪🎸🎺🕺❤️
NWA Canada checking in different song different style, they have many. Happy to see your reaction to this song and that they impressed you this time. Watching for future reactions to Nightwish so you truly see how totally awesome they really are.
More Nightwish, and also worth checking out Epica!
Yeah, that "backup singer" participated in Finland's "Masked Singer" a couple of years ago, more out of fun than anything else - and won 😎
Yes, Marko Hietala is not a back up singer nor a bassist, he is ... Marko Hietala.
Keep Nightwish going guys!
Nightwish Army, Scandinavian division reporting for duty!
Luckilly Nightwish record label is really god with the reactors, so you should stick to their live stuff as they are even better live than in the studio.
You should check out "Ghost Love Score" next and then Gabriel will find you guys and give you ALL the information you need ;)
#WeWereHere
Thank you for this reaction! Wellcome to Nightwish world.🙂 👍 Wellcome to music of Nightwish. Others will give you more information with better english, so I just say thank you one more time and Greetings from Finland! (by Nightwish fan since 1998)
I am just a simple man.
I hear Nightwish, I click...
YES!!!!!!! Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean must be next... live 2018
Welcome to Nightwish! Get used to saying "I want expecting that"
In case no one’s mentioned it, the flaming bull head represents the name of the music festival, which is pronounced Vah-ken.
Also, Marko, the bass player, has a voice that’s just as powerful and versatile as Floor’s. He once said in an interview that he loves singing with her because he doesn’t have to hold back.
Nightwish band from Finland. TUOMAS HOLOPAINEN ( keys) songwriter, composer.
🤘😁🤘
Greetings from a Finn🇫🇮 in Norway🇳🇴
Amazing Nigthwish ❤️ ❤❤❤South Africa 🇿🇦
Marko (bass player) actually is an accomplished artist himself
I love his solo work/ work besides, before and after nightwish
Welcome to the rabbit hole. To the best in the world ever. I've been in this hole since 1998. And I'm never going to leave.
Feel the Banshee!!!
Tnx for your great reaction :) 🤘
Thank you!!!!!!! You know Floor (the lead singer here) is a great singer but you clearly have no idea how amazing of a singer Marko (the basist) is 😁
Song of Myself is a great song to continue this journey, also live from Wacken 2013.
I liked your accurate comments
and I hope you will do more with Nightwish. Nightwish music has never been blocked as many many times I`ve been watching these.
Yes this was a Wacken concert in front of 82k audience. "Ever dream", "Ghost love Score" from this same concert or "Shudder Before the Beautiful" starting the
London Wembley concert, some songs from Nightwish since 1996 they started. I´d really like to see you both more.
Greets from Finland, the homeland of Nightwish. Take care.
Pronounced vacken discovered nightwish about 4 years ago one of my favorite bands watch alk live videos the best🤟
yeah, Nightwish is something else🤘
if you want to experience and understand nightwish, then check out the poet and the pendulum!
Powerful and superbly composed Metal alternates with soulful pipes from Floor. Each band member is in their own class without putting themselves in the foreground! THAT makes Nightwish an experience!
So good, thank you for your reaction, I (and many others) appreciated it!
NWArmy here, welcome and enjoy your ride into this amazing band. Greetings from Greece.💯🤘

If you want more on the bassist Marko Hietala who sings here, try their joint version of "The Phantom of the opera"!
They are both amazing in that setup!
well newbies, all I can say is amm 72and consider Nightwish top 3rock band all time.., I like pink, deep Purple ,black, beach B,, beatles
you have no idea how great this band is. do a few more songs and let me know
I never knew symphonic metal existed before this band. I actually started with the 1st singer and they’ve had three, all of which are great. This is Floor and this is one of my favourites. Their discography is massive and yet mostly all of their songs sound different. I hope you fall in love with them like I did
Yes, yes! One of my holy trinity, Nightwish, The Warning and Band-Maid!
Nightwish Army the Netherlands here.
Welcome to this amazing band.
Thank you for your nice reaction.
New subscriber here 😊
Keep ém comming ..
Nightwish army on board
Epica and Within temptation are also incredible symphonic metal bands!
Hi guys, Nightwish army member from West Germany coming in! Welcome to the wonderful world of symphonic metal! I really liked your reaction. You two are in the music Industrie too so I guess this rabbithole will give you a lot of joy!!
A few fun facts for you:
Tuomas is the keyboardist and mastermind of NW, he writes and composes most of the songs.
Singers sing what they can, Floor sings what she wants ❤once she sang the phonebook in a Dutch radioshow ❤and It sound like a real song ❤her voice just touch your soul and grab your heart ❤she is one of a kind ❤our Valkyria Queen❤
Devil and the Deep dark ocean song is a killer too
All of the songs I love with this or original singer.... they all slay. This band is just one of a kind
You guys gotta check out the show opener Dark Chest Of Wonders from this show so you can see why the audience has been super pumped right from the getgo.
UK Army popping in for a great first reaction
