I got one in 6.5 creedmoor a couple years ago. Most accurate rifle I have ever shot. Consistently outshoots my friends Ruger Precision and Christiansen Arms.
I have this rifle in 223/556. Consistently getting 0.4moa groups with Hornady 75gr Superformance BTHP. Added the Mcarbo trigger spring kit and its phenomenal. Bushnell Match Pro ED in an Arken mount. JKL bag rider. Dead Air brake. Also added a bolt lift kit and replaced the bolt knob with the glades armory. Wrapped the cheek piece in adhesive neoprene for a softer feel. You just can't beat that kind of accuracy in a MDT chassis for $800.

Pick this rifle up this year and have nothing but 100% satisfaction on it really an awesome purchase. During the process I did change out the trigger spring I went to a 2 lb trigger springPick this rifle up this year and have nothing but 100% satisfaction on it really an awesome purchase. During the process I did change out the trigger spring I went to a 2 lb trigger spring with the shims included, I highly recommend doing that but at the same time take note it is somewhat alarming to know that the slightest bit of pressure on that trigger will cause it to go off so for all you do is that like to keep your fingers on the trigger and I don't recommend this for you. Because it will go off at the slightest bit of pressure like I said but it does make a huge difference in that I also will say you got to listen to him and get some Loctite on that picatinny rail bolts because screws because it is loose from Factory the only other issue that I've ever experienced with this is the magazine you can't put any pressure on it when you're engaging a cartridge or disengaging the cartridge because it does stick on your bolt action. I also picked up an MDT muzzle brake the stage 3 or chamber 3 however you would like to say it I highly recommend that 100% it's going to save your arm it makes a great muzzle brake and around $109 to $120 it may be a little expensive but I'm guaranteeing you that right there is going to save your arms and make a better shot for you 100%. Other than that I have no downfalls or nothing bad to say about this rifle and I put over a thousand rounds through this after breaking so 100%
I don’t need a hair trigger that’s for sure! This was a fun one to do and loved this rifle! All good information from you thanks for watching and commenting! Happy Shooting!!
Great video! So here’s my question, I’m trying to get into precision shooting and looking at two similar options with nearly identical price after discounts. The (Discontinued) Savage 10BA Stealth 6.5 creedmoor and the Savage Axis II Precision 6.5 as well. This outdoor shop near me has both options available and not quite sure what option to go with. Any comments and suggestions are welcome. Thank you in advance.
I’m not to familiar with the 10BA. I know they discontinued it heard great things about it as far as accuracy and all. The savage axis II is a sweet option as well and updated. I don’t think either would be a bad choice! I wish I could be more help.

I am working on assembling a target rifle, but want to buy a second that my wife can shoot when she joins me at the range. For the price, this seems like a good option. Think 6.5CM would be a good option.
Honestly no. I mean MDT did a killer job I love the color. Performance any negative was really on me. I think it’s a solid rifle all around. If I had to bitch… maybe weight? Although that does make it feel Even easier to shoot. Savage seemed To cover all the bases
Need an honest opinion. I'm going to get this in 308 for fun shooting and maybe some hunting here and there and am curious if a Bushnell Match Pro ED 5-30x56 would be too much scope for this gun? A few of my friends say it is. If it is too much scope any recommendations? Preferably Bushnell because I have a Vista employee discount which includes Bushnell
Sounds like you need some new friends! I put that size scope on my .22 Just messing The gun has a 20 MOA rail on it, that scope would not be over kill in my opinion. There are endless options out there you just have to tailor it to what you will be using it for of course. Long range paper or pelts? The option are overwhelming even if you’ve just narrowed it down to Bushnell
You’re good. Really depends on what size scope you have or plan to mount on it. If you have a larger objective lens you want taller rings to clear the front lens from touching. Also what size diameter is your scope or the tube of the scope? Figure that out then you can figure out rings.
So example.. that’s a 3-9x50 And the scope says it’s 1 inch tube so I need one inch rings. 50 is the size of the front of the scope or the bell and if you look it’s real close to touching.. so that’s where you need higher rings. These worked but just something to consider. It has a pic rail (as you can see) to mount the rings to. I’m rambling but figure what scope you want then check out rings. Let me know you have any questions. I’m no expert but I’ll answer what I can.
I feel like this is only for buyers who are dying to have a MDT chassis. You’d be better off getting a magpul hunter or any other quality stock that runs $300 or less and put the extra money into a better gun for a $1000 overall package. You could have a bergara b14 and a $300 stock/chassis and have better accuracy, better trigger, and a smoother action. I say this as an axis II owner, not a hater. The product just doesn’t make sense. Esp if magpul ever actually releases that hunter lite stock, that comes out to a sub $700 package. Or just get a Boyd’s for a better feeling stock that may not improve accuracy. Oh and btw, if you’re just looking for accuracy, I have handloads putting 5 shots at 100 under 1/2 MOA. The damn things shoot well all by themselves without a chassis that costs as much or more than the gun and turns the system into a 10 pound chunker.
OK, decent vid but two things need to be clarified, a cheek weld is something you do with your face, not a component of the stock. That's called the comb. # 2, shot groups are measure center to center, not outside to outside.
