- These two materials can make anything from scratch. We used some polymorph plastic beads and FiberFix to make a wrench and a sword from scratch and they worked better than we thought.

Make a shield out of that moldable plastic, then coat it with that fiber fix. Then see if it's bullet resistant

well as some plastics are very good for stopping bullets and most of them are somewhat rubbery the 2 should stop some rounds
Would be interesting to try doing it with a layer or two of Kevlar fabric.
If you layer fabric and dense plastics, many combinations become bullet resistant

A tow hook would be a pretty good use case for this. You’d be able to test lots of different strength properties with it.
I know you guys are just doing this for fun but I could see a similar process being used for rapid prototyping. If you make a mold and then press the thermoplastic in, you could get a much cleaner design.
So much props for including the name of the song at the buttons of the screen. Especially because it's classical music. Any song without lyrics can be so frustrating to find online no matter how many times you've heard it.

Well the song name is "Winter" from 4 Seasons series by Antonio Vivaldi.
Things to make out of that: Bullet Proof Vest, Sledgehammer, Shield, Walking stick, I-beam & a house.
See the trick is to make a tiny one first, let it cure, and then mold the bigger one around the tiny one and have some thin strips of steel in the plastic where the sharp part of the sword would be, then after the final wrap cut the fiber fix down to the steel strips and then sharpen

The whole sequence at 3:39 was probably the hardest I've laughed at a video in a long time.
You could make some molds out of steel with the water jet or maybe 3d print some stiff molds out of a high temperature filament and use that to make tools that are more refined in shape.
make a small hammer and anvil from the plastic/wrap combo and see if you can cold-form sheet metal with it

In fairness, 140° f is about the temperature you can stick your hand in, and regret it a little bit, but not too much.

Run the black tape stuff length wise though for 1 layer then a second layer running on the diagonal that should make it quite useable

What if you revisited the carbon fiber projects like the bat and such.
Try simple tools like a shovel, pick axe, and maybe like screwdriver first then maybe work your way up to something really big

2. thats just a roll of cast material, the same stuff doctors use for broken arms and legs. they are just selling it to a different customer.
3. this is gonna be like 5x as expensive as just buying a wrench
