Oh, I understand it. The human animal, if exposed to 24/7 propaganda for decades can conceive that humans outside of their own group have the value of rocks. They have as little regard for them as rocks. In fact, they get sadistic pleasure from oppressing them in any way possible or simply mass murder them. This level of propaganda is only possible from an entity as big and powerful as a government. That's how it works. Those sadists aren't crazy. They aren't necessarily immoral to anyone within their own group.
Danial Goldhagen ("Hitler's Willing Executioners") and Yuval Noah Harari ("Sapiens") understand all this very well. They were both unable to apply their deep humanism to ZIonism, because they too have cognitive dissonance. It's deeply tragic.

I'm Jewish, and I say one MUST QUESTION ISRAEL'S DECENCY IN ITS PROSECUTION OF THIS BRUTAL WAR AGAINST DEFENSELESS INNOCENT PEOPLE!!! "Never forget!" and "Never again!" were NOT lessons for Jews alone, but for ALL human beings. How profoundly ironic it is that it should be ISRAEL ITSELF THAT HAS FORGOTTEN THESE VERY LESSONS!!!! @jeffreyherman9454 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

@@yongestation You definitely deserve an answer from me, because of your OWN concern for the right and the good. FIRST OF ALL -- I do NOT agree that Jews are "probably the most upright, fair and just people". I would say, INSTEAD, that there are BOTH "angels" AND "devils" within ALL groups of people. You may rightly, for example, praise the intelligence demonstrated by those Jews who have been honored by the Nobel Prize Committee. You may rightly praise Marc Chagall. And you may rightly praise the humanitarian Emma Lazarus, who wrote the poem inscribed on the Statue of Liberty ("Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,/The wretched refuse of your teeming shore,/Send these, the homeless, tempest-tossed to me . . . .") And you may certainly rightly respect and praise, Dr. Jonas Salk, who discovered the polio vaccine and then simply GAVE his discovery to the whole world, caring not for personal gain. Yes, you may -- and SHOULD -- praise such people as these, and, as a Jewish person, I do take some pride in the legitimate and humanity-serving accomplishments of such Jewish people. BUT, it can NEVER be right to judge ANY group as UNIQUELY upright, fair, and just. Especially not at a time when you see the horrors callously undertaken in these days by Israel's government (horrors supported, by the way, by too many in the general populace as well). The answer to your question about "inter-generational" "mental disorder" is a RESOUNDING "YES!". I believe that, collectively, the entire country of Israel teeters constantly on the edge of "mass PTSD" and "mass paranoia", stemming, ultimately, from the savage barbarism of the Holocaust endured by European Jews. By now, it's become kind of "baked in" through the influence of the traumatized older generation (and, of course, their descendants), as well as by repeated horrific terror attacks from both Palestinians and other Arab peoples over the years of Israel's history, but, now, the mental disorder is, quite specifically, being advanced and perpetuated by corrupt and bigoted people in power (i.e., Netanyahu and his cohort of advisors and military staff -- perhaps most notably through their recalling the Biblical genocide waged by the Israelites against the Amalekites. Netanyahu, by the way, like the former US president, strives to cling to power, at least in large part, TO AVOID PROSECUTION FOR HIS OWN CORRUPTION). No one should question that Israel has a right to defend itself against attack -- ABSOLUTELY -- but neither can anyone rightly countenance the current ruthless slaughter of INNOCENTS in Gaza and in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem. It is the latest oppressive act in an oppressive history of ethnic cleansing and occupation dating back seventy-six years both to the birth of Israel and to the Nakba in 1948. We say "two wrongs don't make a right", and I believe that that is true, BUT, if TWO wrongs don't make a right, then some TWENTY-SIX THOUSAND WRONGS (and still counting) CERTAINLY don't make a right either!!! The world was right to be appalled at what happened to the Jews in the Holocaust, and right also to establish the Genocide Convention, to which Israel is itself a signatory, and right, as well, in my view, to seek to establish a homeland for Jews in this world, and October 7th was, truly, an unimaginable and utterly deplorable horror, BUT Israel's hugely disproportionate "response" has horrified me even more. I would say that WE MUST ALL STOP THINKING, IN KNEE-JERK FASHION, IN TERMS -- PRINCIPALLY -- OF GROUP, OR CLAN, OR TRIBE. What the ENTIRE WORLD needs is CHARITY and JUSTICE. WHOEVER (and from WHATEVER "group") lacks charity and a decent sense of justice is spiritually BANKRUPT, simple as that. And WHOEVER (and from WHATEVER "group") thinks upon and practices charity and justice is, in my view, ALWAYS in the right in that thinking and in that practice. Like other countries, Israel is only SOMETIMES in the right . . . and THIS is simply NOT one of those times. I believe that South Africa and the International Court of Justice have both done the right thing in taking Israel's government to task and in the Court's issuance of provisional measures to halt Israel's barbaric and "plausibly genocidal" retribution against the people of Palestine.

Right on bro!!! He hit the nail on the head. The fundamental driving force behind the mentality/arguments Destiny presents, is the denial of occupation/dispossession, no real way to penetrate that, classic quote fits his arguments well, “you can’t change what you don’t acknowledge”. But yep, it’s totally backward thinking on Destiny’s behalf on many levels!

I recommended you go watch Destiny's longer video of this debate. Also, Destiny's argument about teh occupation is completely fair, this isn't a case where Israel have locked Palestinians in their back yard and Palestinians are retaliating. It's a case where Palestinians really only in the Gaza Strip. Have attacked, fired missiles and especially of late have a terrorist organisation's operating in the area. So after all that, they locked the area down. With surrounding Arab countries help mind you. Hamas even attacked them. When we look at it with the right context we ask ourselves what must be done next. And the best answer is Palestinians to change their mindset of wanting to fight their way out of it, and then peace, and two state solution can come down the line. Blaming Israel for the operation and not blaming Hamas for the attacks is just going to make this conflict go round in circles@@kosmoa.k.agizmokos7593

NOTE that HEBREW is an AFRO SEMETIC language and that being Hebrew means you are accepting and AFRICAN religion. I think both you, and Jenk aren’t acknowledging what came right after what Destiny said when talking about the occupation. And that’s the fact that Palestinians and Hamas hate Israel and want to fight. Let’s pretend Israel lifted the occupation. They would have to endure more terrorist attack from a more powerful Hamas now they don’t occupy the area. People always then switch to the argument well “why do Palestine and Hamas want to attack” missing out the fact that they occupied the area after being attacked. Same for the blockade, surrounding Arab countries helping the blockade into Gaza. Stopping Hamas from getting too powerful. @@dfmrcv862 my main point was that you're comparing militaries in a war vs Hamas. Treating the IJA and Italian military as if they're the same as insurgent groups like Hamas, viet cong, IRA leads to strategic defeat. Israel's campaign of indescriminate bombing will radicalize more people towards Hamas, absent any possibility of a brighter political future. I would love to see Hamas surrender tomorrow, I'm just speaking of the reality on the ground. Israel is headed for strategic defeat if it thinks it can just bomb an ideology out of a people. Germany and Japan had governments behind the military to facilitate a surrender, while Palestine is just an occupied landmass where there is no current functioning government. I don't see a purely military operation where Hamas faces a total defeat. Wherein militaries have military objectives, Hamas' only true viable objective is survival. The axis powers in WW2 were actually trying to defeat the allied powers militarily. Hamas knows they can't do that with rpgs and ak's, the objectives of the axis powers vs Hamas couldn't be more different. Hamas couldn't actually believe that they could defeat Israel militarily, while the axis powers were fighting for military domination over the allies. Hamas will continue to win by just surviving, they'll fight until the last man with ak's in flip flops and jeans. They unfortunately are not deterred by Palestinian civilian killing and destruction.

This debate said literally nothing about the complete lack of care and possibly pretextual leaving the border unattended and not paying attention to the multiple signs of a pending attack.
They also said pretty much nothing about the fact that regardless of what the stated military objective is there are multiple elected officials outright stating that they intend to ethnically cleanse the area and that their focus is on damage not accuracy.
Lastly the debate pretty much missed a discussion about the fact that Hamas is at the operational capacity it is largely due to funding by Netanyahu himself. Who has bragged about torpedoing any chance of a Palestinian State multiple times in public.

@@gamEnjoyLP where did I diminish the heinous terrorist attack?
What's really ironic is how the IDF hasbara has blinded the general public to the fact that this has been what the majority of the Israeli political class has wanted.
They literally funded Hamas in order to make it intractable, and killed it's opposition leaders snuffing out any viable dissent in the strip or political solidarity with the West Bank. Then waited for the perfect moment to initiate their long awaited ethnic cleansing campaign.
We know they silenced the female intel soldiers who warned about the attack. Then sat on the extremely detailed Hamas plan when Egypt and other entities literally dropped it in their lap.
They have said this is what they wanted to do since before 2005 in broad daylight, even in the Israeli press. Hell these leaders are still saying it to this day. You have a convicted terrorist (ben-Gvir) and a self-avowed xenophobic fascist (Smotrich) on the War Cabinet with Bibi. Plus Bibi has sworn to diminish political aspirations of the Gaza population and never allow a 2 state solution for over 20 years.
At least the ultra right wingers in Israel aren't ashamed to admit this is what they've wanted to do when they go on Israeli news channels.
It's all these other credulous ppl who somehow play coy as if their obvious strategy isn't staring us in our face. We are not dumb. We can be outraged at what happened to the Israeli innocent civilians and also see that their government is using them to justify a clear alterior motive.
Any student of world history knows this divide and conquer > dehumanization > ethnic cleansing > cultural erasure process. It's not new. They are going to make Gaza unlivable, "thin the population" as Bibi said he wants to do, finish the highways they've started building through it, allows fanatical settlers to colonize it, build an oil port, and profit off the oil exploration.
It's not that hard to figure out.

The way we ended tensions after the Civil war is a pretty good lesson in both what needs to be done (regardless of if it's two, or single state solution), and how hard of a thing that is to do, in perpetuity. Those tensions, in fact, still bubble up in modern America.
But the idea is that the bigger nation has to drop this punitive attitude, and the smaller state/nation/group or whatever, has to learn to let it go. Otherwise it's just a cycle of violence that well forever spiral.
The hard truth, however, if you purely want to debate practical realities, is that it's not going to end, and that there's no foreseeable solution that's going to bear ANY lasting fruit. Precisely because there is no element, on either side, with any real political clout that's willing to let any of it go. Both the cultural entities of the Israeli, and Palestinian people have practically defined their mutual cultural existence as diametrically opposed, as both victims, and as seekers of justice. And that's the moderate people from both sides. The radicals both want actual genocide.

So obviously, they won't be killed... This is such an obviously impossible mission... I honestly think Destiny will keep changing his rhetoric regardless of how many civilians are slaughtered. He didn't even realize that the ratio of Israeli civilian casualties to soldiers during October 7th was lower than the civilian casualty ratio in the retaliation. It's wild how purposely ignorant Destiny has remained on this issue.

    20. Actually, in this piece of land there has been everything, EXCEPT A PALESTINIAN STATE.
    (Borrowed from a friend)
A little more history for those wanting to 'restore Palestine'.
In 132 AD the Emperor Hadrian resolved to stamp the Jews and their religion out of existence. He sold all Jewish prisoners into slavery after the revolt of Bar Kikhba, forbade the teaching of the Torah, renamed the province Syria Palaestina, and changed Jerusalem’s name to Aelia Capitolina. He renamed Israel to wipe out the national identity of Israel and the Jews.
So if you are looking to 'restore Palestine to the Palestinians', you need to give it back to the Jews.

He does consider BB extreme. But BB isn't all of Israel. The actions of Israel have been in many ways logical.
Hamas is a terrorist organisation. The population supports them or their goals in general. The population supports violence. When the music festival's r***d and mutilated bodies were dragged through the streets, even the Palestinian children clapped. This is a radical population.
Destiny's solution is for Palestine to give up fighting, deradicalise and show a desire for peace, and immediately the entire world would look at Israel as a genuinely apartheid state. If you think Hamas should fight, when they cannot do so without human shields, then you're perfectly fine with human shielding.
