I'm always surprised that, relative to other channels, you have a lower subscriber count. You're knowledgeable and have great insight both on gardening and the ways of the world. Plus, your humor always gives me a good chuckle.
Oh Mandy, That is very nice of you to say! That has really lifted me, Hey you know I have not really had the time to put into the channel but things in my life have started to change for the better and really want to include a more regular schedule for some videos of self sufficiency and working with nature. Thank you for taking the time to tune in and say such lovely things Paulo x
Man, I am so glad I stumbled upon this. You've got a great speaking voice and are an awesome explainer. You should have James Pirigioni level subscriber counts.
Just an FYI, Bill Mollison (permaculture cofounder) established a magnificent permaculture garden in a temperate climate in Tasmania. I live close to that property on a small urban block and am also trying to establish a food forest. Have only just found your video, so will follow with interest. Happy fooding.
started working on my food forest 7 years ago and you described this feeling of sitting in the middle of it and just thinking about your place in nature perfectly. Its a third place outside of home and work, the cheapest to build out of all the stuff around you and it gives you more in return than you could imagine.Love the longform Videos and your Garden, i grow most of the same plants but with every video of yours i learn a thing or two.
Mr Brznak I am on the same thing as you thank you so much for sharing this I think unfortunately most people don't know what life is about.....its a long video thanks for taking the time to listen to my ideas... like me we have the same thoughts in our heads...we are the lucky ones x .
I feel what you say about waiting until dark to go inside. I often stalk the woods near my house (Belgium) at dusk and weekly come face to face with a load of different animals that are more active at this hour. Also roe deer for example are less agitated because dog walkers aren't around. Amazing video's so I subbed!
Hey Vincent, Thank you for tuning it! Yes mate sometimes a little wild camp is also great!!! gets you away from the superficial nonsense of 'normal life' cant beat being in nature....Thank you so much for commenting!
Hi. I watched a video of yours years ago. You were propagating basil in your polytunnel. You promoted filling spaces with those cuttings. Could the same method apply in the food forest? Maybe cuttings of any/all plants used to fill gaps; if not required you could simply chop and drop them. Do you use cardboard to suppress weeds?
Great video! Really inspiring and the bit with the cat is hilarious! I’m trying to establish a forest garden on my allotment In Hertfordshire which I’ve had for a second year now. So far the slugs got the most of it but I’ll get there hopefully. All the best!
Hey Papillon, that's great! good luck with it and you are not that far from here. Maybe get some small fruiting shrubs in this autumn and see how it goes ! Thanks for watching!
Awesome Video! Dont under estimate the power of Nettles Sedges and Thistles in a food forest Rosebay Willow herb is awesome as well! I like plants where they take care of them selves. Even my lawn in full of Daisies and other wild edibles like pignuts etc Just subbed to your channel!
Just an idea for your apple tree that is dying! Plant a hardy edible Yam so it can climb up it, You will get tons of arial tubers to eat as well as underground Yam some can get to 60lbs Bees love the flowers too. The Cinnamon Yam hardy down to -20c There are quite a few Disoscorea Yams that are hardy. So its worth doing a bit of research, Hope this info helps
Thanks Bumble Bee foundation, Indeed there is a Chinese Yam growing through all the apple trees they are in their infancy only two years old. Thanks for watching!
i do so agree. love your video´s, i have learn´t me alot, and dont have green fingers, living in denmark. :) but i still dont get how the heck you keeping your rarrogon alive do winter and frost. mine keep dying even inside. :) it a mysterie to me how you get it to live outside year around without dying. ???? this is again a awesome video, curently im trying to create a biodyversity food garden, a mix of biodyversety and wild growing food source....this helps alot
