There is a simple fix to the inadvertent button pushes in the case… peel back (do not completely remove) the little tabs by each case button band remove the little pieces of plastic underneath, and just fold the little tabs back in place. That’s it, and now the buttons will be much less sensitive.

@@AudioLevels good luck! I didn’t point it out, but the little flaps I’m referring to are on the inside of the case, not the outside
@@jamesmiller4487 Im looking but not seeing it. On mine its just a cheap pleather and looks like they have just pressed the shapes of the buttons into the materials there's no plastics in the case.
@@AudioLevels huh… do you have the case that came with the player? If yes, just gently with your fingernail try to expose the seam. It wasn’t obvious to me either, but just gently teasing it will make it separate enough to make it obvious. If you look at the head-Fi thread covering the R6 Pro II you’ll see other descriptions.

i wish i had the money, i bloddy love the purple color of this dap.
Even though i have the black version the screen background pops. I wish my dap was in that color too.
I love the purple as well, but I am not going to spend months save up money for something that cant do a work day without charging break.
Maybe next year they make one that have the purple and battery life as a priority.

Better than Fiio M15s?
Im looking for a dap that can drive headphones like hd800s, hifiman planar and other over headphones, do you think this dap have the power to drive them? Or maybe fiio m23 or m6 ultra? Thanks a lot
I own an Ibasso DX320 Amp 14 with various headphones including a pair of Hifiman HE-400i, Audio-Technica R15, Audio-Technica Mx50x, Focal Elegia, do you allow me to try this Hiby r6 pro II or is it not worth spending money on this DAP?
I keep hearing good things about this dap but im gonna keep saying that not having a volume dial is a deal breaker for me... unfortunatly. Your review nearly changed my mind though.
Its a little jarring coming from the dx300 with the wheel. So much easier to adjust on the fly. The graphic i mentioned i dont like either but almost everything else is superb. Really enjoying it.
How about the SQ when compared to the DX-300 which is a high end product albeit older?
A different approach. The Hiby I would say is more transparent leaning the DX300 Seems a bit more full bodied. Both can be used in an eng game rig easily with IEM's. Battery is a noticable difference.
Thanks for the review,could you try it with monarch mkII please ? I have a couple of DAPs which are the Fiio M11 pro with dual AK DAC chips ,and I have to increase the volume to 85 db to drive the monarch MKII which I don't feel comfortable to do ,same with the P1 !

Hey, if I use this as bluetooth reciver does it sound better than BTR7? And does the battery life remain same?
I have no idea, thats a really niche case for a dap.
I have an iPhone 11. I wonder how the sound quality of this Hiby is compared to an iPhone? Would I notice a big difference?
Any DAC would sound 100 times better than a regular phone . I didn’t believe it either till I bought one myself . I would never go back using my phone for music . Woke up my whole sound system !
If I have the DX320, will the Hiby R6 Pro ii be an upgrade in sound? I am getting 8 hours battery life on average from DX320, so I'm interested in the sound department only.
I dont have the 320 sorry. For that reason i cant really comment on it.
@@AudioLevels i read the dx320 is similar to dx300 but just less warm.
I want to buy this dap or the r6 iii but is it worth it just to use in my main hifi system connected to my external dac. Do you think this is overkill if ibypass the dac inside the dap?
Buying dap to connect it to dac? Any smartphone or tablet will do the same, and especially, the tablet will be convenient for browsing music.

How is it possible that you get 3h of playback time from the dx300?? Ive had this dap over a year and the battery life was around 15-16h from 4.4mm on the amp12 lol.
Jeex i wish, started off well at around 10 hours then went of a cliff ato some point. I also have a lot of screen on time because im testing with it.
@@AudioLevels 10h even with screen on, doesnt seem right. Maybe your model has a faulty battery. It is worth contacting IBasso to replace the battery. Their service is great. As i mentioned, ive had the dx300 for over a year and there was no battery degradation and i was using even more powerful amp12 and then the amp12EXN (modded).
@@AudioLevels make sure battery management is off in android settings also dont fast charge use a slow charge speed i had exactly the same symptoms as you this cured it for me ,give it a try,！

I test with IEM's with multiple sources from cheap to expensive. Not everyone spends $500+ on DAPs. Main testing is done on the Ibasso DX300 and Dethonray Honey H1 and desktop amps.
