As I got older and learned about his real history I felt like “damn man! If I woulda known this history I woulda loved you!l

I followed John's career and WCW really screwed him over. He was going to be apart of a big angle that would main event a PPV with the likes of Ric Flair, Roddy Piper, Arn Anderson, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Syxx. At the last moment Tenta was called a amatuer and his involvement with the match was nixed live on air. John had to be held back from kicking Anderson's and Flair's ass for real afterward. John was a wonderful family man that was too good for the business.

The lawsuit between the then WWF now WWE Settles out of court. When Vince and Earthquake agreed he'd stop using Avalanche. And when Earthquake was tired of WCW ... It was Vince who asked if he would come back to wrestle for him.

One of my favorite matches with him was when he faced off against Rodney Anoa'i whom was wrestling as Yokozuna. It was a sumo match, and by God it was a hell of a fight. They actually mentioned his time as a sumo wrestler, where he was known as 事天山 / Kototenzan or "Harp of Tenta", and he even came out wearing a kimono and everything. Those two really duked it out before Rodney went out of the ring. John Tenta was a hell of an athlete though, wish I could've met him. Requiescat in Pace and thank you for entertaining us all those years as Earthquake/Kototenzan. Your life story will never be forgotten, you are a legend.

A Japanese wrestler once tried to shoot fight Tenta, going for John's eyes. Tenta pulled his shoulder straps down, showed his big balled up fists and said let's go. The guy ran his mouth for a couple of minutes, pretended to want to fight, then he kicked and hurt the referee left the ring, and told the crowd that everythingthey do is fake. None of this was supposed to happen. The Japanese wrestler had a huge ego, ran his mouth behind the scenes about tough he was, and didn't think he should ever have to lose, so he acted out instead. He got fired from the promotion because of actions in that match. John Tenta was so mad he literally turned red when that guy went for his eyes...

if you grew up in the early 90s like myself, these characters were so iconic, i remember coming back from school and i would watch this first thing, now growing up most died young, RIP to them all, including Johm Tenta AKA. Earthquake, i remember when he had Jake the Snake tied up in the ropes and took his snake and put it in middle of the ring whilst in the bag and he bounced of ropes and sat on the snake with a jump, thats when jake the snake was in tears, who remmebers that iconic moment?

I remember that day well when earthquake made his wwf debut. I was like 12 without a care in the world. Wwf was everything back then. Not what it is today.
