Go to a Volvo tuner. They can write out the speed limit and your S60 will drive far over 200km/h!
If you’re leasing this (which 99/100 times you are) you’re screwed with the warranty and such :(
I've got a 2018 S60 Dynamic. I got it up to 200 km/hr but it wouldn't go any faster even though the RPM'S were in the barely hitting the low-mid 5000's. She could of easily hit 220 to 240km/h. Part of me wants to get that tuner but it's also my family car and don't want to risk voiding my warranties. I'll save those speeds for when I get my own personal sports car.
Got a 2011 s60 t4, it is electronically limited to 225 and can reach it easily and would probably reach 250 without it. So this new one could definitely do even better.

we bought a mercedes class a 180d in 2019 progressive line it was new it vibrated everywhere mercedes such a good brand so prestigious must get these engines from renault (without wanting to criticize the renault because it's a great car and very good engine) the system beug but good was the beginning of mbux for 44000euro a class a... so yes we love it my when we bought the volvo we felt like ripped off by mercedes, the volvo v60 d3 cost us 38,000 euro new it is super well equipped indestructible engine which in 2 years has never asked us to put oil before the overhaul no engine problems it drives very well even before it is reprogrammed the after-sales service is super better than mercedes which charges you 1000 euro for ladblue
in short if you really want to know the beautiful history of volvo go read and criticize not without knowing

@Alex Ptc it's just that if volvo's priority is safety, then they shoudn't make a sporty car with 250 HP and then limit it to 180 km/h.
I totally agree with you but if you buy my 250 hp car and you can reach the top speed very quickly I think that is reasonable that sometimes you do want to reach a very high speed otherwise you wouldn't buy a car like that. Can you imagine a Ferrari with 600 hp limited to 180 km/h? It Is ridiculous 🤣

discover the slowness, my v60 2020 is not throttled yet, top speed 230. due to the current situation it's crazy to drive like this. I have my new challenge to drive as fuel-efficiently as possible and lo and behold I have just a quarter of my tank empty on 350 km. Mixed route 60% motorway and 40% country road Speed 80-120 km/h in economy mode. Previously with "normal driving", almost 3/4 of the tank empty. it's fun 😂.

How does the acceleration feel? I was in the market for a T6 and super bummed out that they've discontinued them. Hesitant to get into a B5.
I tested new V60 T5 with 185kw and B4 (old was T4) with 145 + electric engine so for me B4 felt much more faster during acceleration.

I have a 2021 S60 T6 Inscription that purchased this year, used……the car eats the highway!!! Beautiful vehicle.
Very smooth driving at 150 plus mph. Cabin noise is minimal, as is tire noise. Are those the stock Pirelli tires?

Volvo S60 is build in USA (Charleston, South Carolina) exclusively. Volvo (Volvo Cars) company is Geely (Chinese) owned since a few years now but most Volvo models are still European production. Quality in general is good so far.
