My favourite S-Class ever, alongside the 450SEL 6.9 and the 300SEL 6.3, one of the best looking S-Classes inside and out and one of the best cars I have ever driven, sometimes it can be completely sedate and relaxing and at other times it would like nothing more than to kill you and put you in its own trunk, what a phenomenal car and those colours are perfection, very jealous.

I once bought a car for $1. 1988 Honda Accord. Friend of a co-worker had tried GIVING this car away, no takers. I badly needed a car, and as long as it ran, I didn’t care about looks. Well what happened was he was single he already had a couple cars. SOME uncle he didn’t even know existed, died and left him five cars in his will. So he had to get rid of a few of the cars, or the taxes were going to kill him. I had to actually purchase the car for reasons dealing with Social Security and government assistance, I couldn’t just accept it as a gift. So $1 it was. I went into this whole thing expecting a beat up rust bucket. no, the previous owner before his uncle, this car was her baby she had every scrap of paper relating to repair and maintenance on the car. It was immaculate less than 100,000 miles (I bought it in 2004) paint job faded from the Arizona sun, but not too bad. otherwise not a dent ding or scratch on it. SCORE!!! I drove it until i was going to move back to Oregon. so I sold it to a soldier who was recently a Father and they needed a good, dependable second car. I sold it to him for…that’s right, $1. He and his wife were saving up for something decent, so I saved them about $2000. She started crying when she saw it, and I told her the story. Paying it forward, the only way to go.

you know alot of people are knocking this guy in the comments, but think about it, he sells a rare AMG widebody to someone, finds out that their selling it wrong and then goes out of his way to get the guy a better deal and better money for his rare car, while getting a fair small commission for it compaired to what they could have done if he had bought the car, and then flipped it, like that is the kind of guy you DO wanna do business with
vs like for instance that currated guy who really comes across as someone you dont want in the hobby somehow, like its value and money first, the flaws and the realism about the cars second with that guy
as he never ever says how crappy those things can be, which with an italian car, like he frequently poaches and jacks up the price on, is part of the fun frankly.

He went online and saw a 2017 Camaro with low miles and clean title listed for $42k but it wasn't an SS...it was a ZL1! The dealership didn't realize the difference so he got a loan from his bank, got the paperwork all signed, and drove the car off the lot that same day.
He said the next day the dealership realized their error but it was too late as the sale had been completed so the dealership was out $13k-$14k on that sale.

A possible clue for your sponsor: There is an alloy of Gold and Aluminum known to semiconductor manufacturers as Purple Plague. 30 years ago I asked Bob Hazeltine to make my wife's wedding ring using some of this. He was unsuccessful and we settled on rose and yellow gold. It may be possible to add gold dust to a melt of aluminum (I think Bob tried to add the aluminum to a gold melt) to make this beautiful brittle alloy useful in jewelry. I'm no longer in the market to buy, but the unique purple color should attract attention. FWIW
