- Here's a quick speed test to show you the speed of the Losi Lasernut on 4s power. Results may vary slightly. But I'm not sure why you'd need more speed for a vehicle like this. Feels perfect to me.

Thanks man! I’d be doing more if the rain would stop. 😂 really like this thing. Handles different than my other RCs. Got a Reefs RAW on order to really give it some great steering speed and power.
I had a similar issue with a HW esc and calibration. Check to see if your throttle channel is set to reverse. If so, you need to go full reverse first and full forward second when calibrating. Try switching a wire from the motor and setting tx to regular. It should eliminate the issue. Hope it works for ya!

Is the throttle reversed on the remote? My rx8 gen3 did the same thing when the throttle was reversed on the remote.

I had a Lasernut and the Pro-Line belted Trenchers, wheels and Hubs on my Amain wishlist, lucky for me they were on back order when I started to hear about all the problems.
Mine still is running alright. You've got to be careful when going with bigger and heavier wheels and tire options as they were not necessarily tested for that. Same with the X-Maxx. See so many issues when people changed out the wheels and tires.

I am running my Lasernut on 16T pinion with 4S. Have two high speed fans on the motor. Temperatures are around 120F. Good acceleration, top speed 52mph.

Try another transmitter and receiver, I’ve had that problem not being able to calibrate my ESC. I changed receiver. It worked. Your lucky I couldn’t get my car to throttle at all. Good car got my eye on a good rock racer. Do you think it’s better than the losi rock ray. ??
When you set the end points try neutral then reverse then forward and it that works reverse the throttle on the remote
Hi love your videos they are great one question I have iam kinda new to this just order the lasernut and a 4s smart battery but instead they sent me a 3s battery please tell that I could just put this 3s in and ride my lasernut without taking apart anything.

The calibration sequence with the smart ESC is slightly different compared to a normal hobbywing. You have to let go of the set button pretty much right away. Your ESC should be blinking red to let you know you are in calibration mode. If it's blinky green it's in program mode. I couldn't quite see what it was flashing

I have a Trx4 sport, my Wife has a sport, my daughter has a Rustler 4x4 vxl I also have an Xmaxx. and literally got this truck Friday. its far and away my favorite !!!! it feels waaay more expensive than it is

I have wanted a Lasernut since the moment i saw the Teaser video. But I am waiting til "The NUTSAC" (as some have dubbed it), that has some serious drive train issues get fixed. Otherwise I would already own one, waiting for Nutsac 2.0 reports.
does the motor get hot? any cooler suggestions? im in 90+ temps nearly all day.

Hard to judge when filming. It’s not typical running all the time.
Losi, quickly becoming a name for U4 bashing excellence... probably would only lose a couple mph on a heavily rutted rocky truck trail, in other words, balanced.. me wants! 🤩BB

They’re different. One isn’t better than the other. Same platform and many shared parts. I’m preferring the Laser it though.
@@CCxRC yeah i understand, i think a lot of people will be weighing up one vs the other though. The Laser seems tough but that db fox body just looks so sweet! 😊

Only way I’m doing that is with a 3s battery. That’s what the larger pinion is for. I’m not “going for speed” with this one. It’s not a speed car. The power and speed is plenty for what it is. I just wanted to know what speeds it was reaching.
The Rugged won't show you the speed of the truck with telemetry? Maybe it was just rpms...
