My mom’s is a dentist (short term) so here’s the real answer. Every person is different. If your mouth is to crowded with teeth you SHOULD get them out because it can cause pain and other symptoms similar. However, if your mouth is not very crowded you probably don’t have to get them out. Although I’m not a professional that’s basically the most straight forward answer. I got mine out recently and you just have to take good care of your mouth while it’s recovering so you don’t get an infection. Have a good day :)

Erin McKeown I can see that. I had braces when I was a teen and before the orthodontist put them on, he had me get 4 teeth pulled before he could put the braces on since my mouth was so small. Then my wisdom teeth came in at slant so eventually they broke from me biting down on them. But most things are small on me. I am only 4'6. lol

Don't be, depending how your wisdom teeth are growing you could have it done under general anesthetic. Mine were a pain in the bum and needed over half an hour to have just the bottom ones out so I'm glad I had GA - it made the whole process stress free for me and today is 4 days after the surgery and to be honest I only had 1 day of bad pain but I took 500mg paracetamol + 400mg ibuprforen and it worked well for me. It is painful but if u feel u can't bare the pain and r crying and screaming... then yes call the Dr rite away. Their probably is a severe problem. I am not a medical professional at all. I know because that's what my Dr. Told me and experience. My teeth healed perfectly.
I had two of my four wisdom teeth removed so far. My dentist extracted them at three-week intervals instead of extracting both of them in one go. The reason for this is simply because it's the most comfortable option, and it doesn't take as long to recover from it.
thanks.to Bright Side! today is my procedure of my.wisdom tooth 😢😢 im kinda nervous because my. tooth is deep 😢but ill be brave because this is the last wisdom tooth😊 im happy when its pulled out already! and for those people who will give prayers,THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!💓 Ill be strong and brave just for everyone!❤have a wonderful day!and to Bright side❤Godbless you all!
I had only one bottom tooth removed because it, too, grew incorrectly. The other one grew sideways along the jaw and never broke through the gum. The tops are still intact. I'm 63 and about ten years ago gum started to recede from the remaining bottom tooth. It doesn't bother me so I don't intend to have it out.
I had my two bottom removed b/c they were hurting. I waited until I was 33/34. I’m almost 50 now and even though my upper ones didn’t fully come in they never hurt. I was told I needed to have them out about 7 years ago. I didn’t listen. I ended up with a gap in between my two front bottom teeth after my lower ones were removed. I don’t regret not getting my upper ones removed.
It hurts but in some weird way it’s pleasant My wisdom teeth is really hurting rn, but tbh it’s 30x less painful than my migraines which makes it kinda soothing
It was a traumatic experience because my dentist was careless and had heavy hands. I'm actually surprised that almost everyone here who had gone through the surgery was put to sleep. I was wide awake, and it was pretty painful. Few anesthesia was injected on me but those were not enough that I could still feel pain...pretty much actually.
I am a dentist and it's not that how you think each patient is different we can't give general anesthesia to everyone we have to measure the benefits and the consequences, we have to be careful with general anesthesia, just imagine you never wake up after a general anesthesia😂, so local anesthesia for dental problems are much used and they are less complicated and more useful for both doctor and the patient
@@_am____ All they said was they had a bad experience and still felt the pain, Now correct me if I'm wrong don't anesthesiologists have to do your anesthesia and not your dentist that's maybe why general anesthesia can't be used Is a dentist trained in anesthesics?
I never took out those until 1 year ago, I notice that my gum was above my teeth and I was beginning a infection under it and it was really painful and really tough to pull out for my dentist since i'm older. The conclusion is: You don't need too but if You wait too long and need to remove it, good luck !
If your wisdom teeth are impacted, it’s recommended to get them removed for many reasons. If not, you take the chance of them growing in, hitting other teeth, & causing cavities. Happened to my brother. He had to get 5 teeth moved, all 4 wisdom teeth plus another tooth that a wisdom tooth dug into causing a major cavity. It also happened with one of his front teeth, caused crowding & it caused another cavity. Mind you this happened in 6 months. He was fine one checkup, not the next. His dentist was shocked & said because I’m his sister it could happen to me. So I got mind removed before they broke through my gums. Plus I have braces so I didn’t want them growing in & wasting all my money.
Yep! I had all four removed the same day when I was 15 years old [circa 1967]. It took 6 weeks to really recover and the ''hole'' left in my gums remained for a year. It was a very miserable operation and the dentist used only Novocaine (no laughing gas or assisted sleeping). I remember the Xrays still to this day and your depictions were spot on. Two of my wteeth were at a 45 degree angle towards me permanent molars and the other two were growing into the molars at a 90 degree angle. I was convinced then and I am now that the surgery was the best thing. Of note is I still to this day know how my mother paid for the surgery. We were dirt poor, my dad died two years previous. We had no car and a small Social Security check came in each month. Still, she got it down and I am the better [and wiser, pardon the pun :) ] for it.
I'm 15 and the dentists are very amused to see that my wisdom teeth are already full grown despite of my age. Then, they said I need them removed. So a lot of the comments I saw keeps on saying that when theirs is growing it was really painful but then I realized "So, that's what the itching on my gums is all about when I was 12" I honestly didn't feel any pain
So I got them out last week. I survived I was also very scared like most of you guys. Don't worry if you're asleep it happens so fast you don't even know. The first day is the hardest after that the pain subsides a lot. I am able to eat most foods now.
I’m afraid of the day that I get my wisdom teeth removed if I do because I’ll most likely be cursing a million times a minute. Also, my parents will most likely be the ones with me and I NEVER curse around them.
You probably won’t. If you’re put completely under anesthesia you may not even remember the whole day. Plus you won’t feel like talking much afterwards.
My top wisdom teeth never formed, my bottom two I had to have pulled when I was about 38 years old. They grew in completely laying flat and started to push against my back teeth causing an infection. At the time I was ready to fix my teeth and get braces but had to have wisdom teeth removed first before braces. Wisdom teeth pulled, two and a half years of braces later and I'm finally very happy with my smile!
I suffered from the pain of wisdom teeth but it finally erupted well and it’s perfectly aligned. Don’t listen to internet advices without asking those who had gone through the situation
I can feel both side oh I mean the other one is already out and is disturbing me for constantly aching. I wanna get them out but I dont want for some reason 🤔🤔🤧 Im SCARED
I removed my wisdom tooth today! While removing there was no pain due to anesthesia! But after sometime when anesthesia effect got over, it started paining! But I took painkiller and now it's better.
I got my wisdom teeth removed late 2013. Wasn’t in too much pain throughout the week after the procedure. By the next week, I was fully recovered! It was quite an experience and was glad I got them removed at the right time!
What right time was that? You didn't indicate you were having problems with the teeth. Most people get them removed just because the dentist said so and that's not a valid reason.
18 here. My little 15 year old sister just got hers taken out about 4ish days ago. I haven’t had the “pleasure” to get mine out yet and I’ve been completely obsessing over wisdom teeth after my sister’s teeth got removed. I’m not 100% sure, but I looked around my mouth just to be wary about it and I think I felt one wisdom tooth at the very back of my mouth on the left side. Pray for me. ;-;
Lol I was in kindergarten when my sister got here’s removed it was one of the best days of kindergarten bc my mom brought food for lunch. When I came home, my dad brought KFC and my sister was saying KFC over and over again. Just wanted to tell you that story.
I removed my four wisdom teeth in a single day 2 years ago . Trust me it isn't as bad as it looks. I didn't even have general anesthesia, only a local anesthesia. I had to force my mouth open the whole time while they were doing it. Surprisingly, I didn't feel any pain (Even when they were cutting my gum and removing it). The only thing I felt is them touching my teeth ( It's as if your pressing on it). Thus, don't worry about the pain. You won't feel anything. The only thing that was a little unpleasant is that they were using non stop this water flosser in my mouth while cutting my gum and using anesthesia. It was constantly going in the back of my throat, so I always had to swallow the liquid ( which was water, blood and anesthesia). They kept asking me to not swallow it, but I had no choice ( it was this or getting choked). That was the only thing unpleasant about the wisdom tooth removal. In short, don't worry. It's not a big deal ( no pain, just a little unpleasant). The most unpleasant part is after the operation. Of course, they gave me codeine and antibiotics so I wouldn't feel any pain while it was recovering and avoid any infections. However, I could only open my mouth a little ( I was scared that if I opened it too much, the wounds would reopen). So I could only eat soft food. It was like this for 4 or 5 days. Afterwards, I could open it a little more and eat a bigger variety of food. It went on like this for maybe 2 or 3 weeks until my full recovery. In short, this whole thing about wisdom tooth removal isn't that scary. It isn't that painful. It was just annoying the fact that I couldn't open my mouth completely at the beginning.
ok @Bhargavi I'm 20 and gotta get all 4 out I have an appointment there all 4 sideways like the one here... how bad does it hurt is it scary? please reply I need help
Hang in there. The pain will slowly go away. Just make sure you don't drink through a straw or smoke. Dry socket is no joke. It's way more painful, also
I had both of my upper jaw wisdom teeth removed. Surely it is an inconvenience for a few days after they are removed, but you don't have to worry about them ever again.
WELL TOO BAD BECAUSE I HAD ALL MY WISDOMS PULLED OUT ALREADY! And whats funny is that I just had my last pulled out on Wednesday and now Im watching this😄
Why would anyone have teeth removed without having issues with them? That's like removing a toe because you suspect one day it will cause problems. I'm almost 30 and they tried coming through again a couple of years ago but still are pretty hidden with just the top part showing. Around 12 years ago I had a couple of weeks of pain with them but eventually it went.
If you wisdom tooth is angled to your next tooth then you gotta remove it or later when your older it will hurt worse than getting them removed without numbing its torcher
Watching this while recovering from an emergency wisdom teeth operation. My back wisdome tooth got very infected and ended up in the ER. Got all 4 of them pulled out. Im resistant to numbing, anesthesis, and pain medication, the dentist had to numb me with the needle so many times that he was afraid he would overdose me. I still felt most of it. 😭. But it was worth it! Still in a lot of pain but on day 3 of recovery.
was is just getting so bad you went into the ER? mine hurt like once or twice a year for 2 days then goes away, but this time it seems rough, hard to open my mouth and the gum is inflamed like crazy, dont have a dentist at the moment
all 4 of mine grew correctly so i just kept them there for as long as they lasted. at 28 one of them broke so i had to remove it. another broke at 32 and i removed that too and now at 35 i had to remove the 3rd because it had a cavity that would eventually cause it to break like the others. i still have one but i guess in a few years it will go bad too and i will have to remove it. fortunately, because they grew right, all the doc had to do is a little pull with a simple shot of local anesthesia... 30s and it was done. my brother on the other hand had all 4 grow sideways so he had to remove them early through surgery. he suffered for weeks
Hmmm. A little too "pro" having your wisdom teeth removed for my taste. (Sounds a bit like a commercial for dentists.) Many people over the age of 30 keep their wisdom teeth (those teeth that display and those that remain under the gums) without any problems, including me. Preventive measures are good, especially if there is a family history of problems, but removing the teeth without any problem indicators is not always, in my opinion, the best call.
Lisa Knott Yes, the issue is if they are inflaming your gums, misaligning your jaw and/or pressuring your teeth to cause pain/discomfort/teeth misalignment or other issues which may or may not be of health or cosmetic concern. You should consult a doctor who will do a very quick and painless X-ray to determine whether it would be useful to take them out. If they are coming in correctly then taking them out makes no sense. If they're coming in wrong then just take them out.
yup. As long as they aren't causing any issues, there's no use in removing them! :) I have to remove mine because they're horizontal and causing pressure against my other teeth, sadly :(
In so terrified of the dentist already, it would be my DREAM to have no wisdom teeth.. But oh well, maybe I will get over it by the time I get them removed 😓😓

It is painful but if u feel u can't bare the pain and r crying and screaming... then yes call the Dr rite away. Their probably is a severe problem. I am not a medical professional at all. I know because that's what my Dr. Told me and experience. My teeth healed perfectly.
Anyone had only top wisdom teeth or only bottom wisdom teeth? lmk. I only had top wisdom teeth. It more common than ppl think.
How are you feeling now? If you're still in pain, put an ice pack on it should help
samfromNJ TAKE IBUPROFEN EVERY 8 HOURS! KEEP.UP ON IT! only use the big painkillers at night.
Good I hope u remember that pain for the rest of your life
I had two of my four wisdom teeth removed so far. My dentist extracted them at three-week intervals instead of extracting both of them in one go. The reason for this is simply because it's the most comfortable option, and it doesn't take as long to recover from it.
I'm crying because I'm scared to have a wisdom tooth
I am too,but we'll be ok.
Mariel Playz me too
I am too😭😭😭

Not me but I am scared right now
thanks.to Bright Side! today is my procedure of my.wisdom tooth 😢😢 im kinda nervous because my. tooth is deep 😢but ill be brave because this is the last wisdom tooth😊 im happy when its pulled out already! and for those people who will give prayers,THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!💓 Ill be strong and brave just for everyone!❤have a wonderful day!and to Bright side❤Godbless you all!
I had 2 wisdom teeth removed as they grew incorrectly, however the other 2 I still have. I'm 30.
My wife also hasn't had hers removed.
I'm 39 and still have all of mine.
Gary 87 I had all of my out on the same day
I had my two bottom removed b/c they were hurting.
Gary 87 I’m under 12 and my wisdom teeth (only bottom) have erupted IS THAT A PROBLEM
It hurts but in some weird way it’s pleasant
My wisdom teeth is really hurting rn, but tbh it’s 30x less painful than my migraines which makes it kinda soothing
Yes haha
It was a traumatic experience because my dentist was careless and had heavy hands. I'm actually surprised that almost everyone here who had gone through the surgery was put to sleep. I was wide awake, and it was pretty painful. Few anesthesia was injected on me but those were not enough that I could still feel pain...pretty much actually.
Same
I got mine today, it was so painfull and I was fully awake, they didn't even give me anything to make me fall asleep
Got left side wisdom teeth removed today. Didn't feel a thing. After about 6 hours, now there is some pain.
I never took out those until 1 year ago, I notice that my gum was above my teeth and I was beginning a infection under it and it was really painful and really tough to pull out for my dentist since i'm older. The conclusion is: You don't need too but if You wait too long and need to remove it, good luck !
Final Fantasy are my 4 corner teeth supposed to be like 99% covered by my gums?
Final Fantasy if you’re older you should be able to tell the difference between “too” and “to”
If your wisdom teeth are impacted, it’s recommended to get them removed for many reasons.
A bump is growing at the back of my teeth, and I get scared over small things and tend to jump to conclusions so I'm here now-
Same idk what is it
Same for me.
Same and my bump is right where the wisdom teeth should be
She slept with the dentist.

Same here and I am worried why I got wisdom teeth so early do you have any problem with them till now
So I got them out last week. I survived I was also very scared like most of you guys. Don't worry if you're asleep it happens so fast you don't even know. The first day is the hardest after that the pain subsides a lot. I am able to eat most foods now.
How long was the recovery?
It’s more scary when you put to sleep before surgery.. i heard some people never woke up after.
Once it starts to move sideways or affecting other teeth, then pull it out.

I’m afraid of the day that I get my wisdom teeth removed if I do because I’ll most likely be cursing a million times a minute. Also, my parents will most likely be the ones with me and I NEVER curse around them.
Zeppelin Rose rip I’m so scared of the dentist so I would be cursing too..
You probably won’t. If you’re put completely under anesthesia you may not even remember the whole day. Plus you won’t feel like talking much afterwards.
Just do it under local anesthesia and you’ll be awake/not high haha
Zeppelin Rose or if u were me and you had molars extracted and were bauling ur eyes out after you woke up from anasthesia

I am getting my wisdom teeth removed tomorrow thank you for Sharing this video with me and others and 15 years old
I've never had my wisdom teeth pulled but if I ever do you guys made me feel very terrified about it I am freaking petrified
My wisdome teeth grows perfectly
My mind: *_lucky teeth...._*
Plz tell me your wisdome teeth remove or not plz reply me

I suffered from the pain of wisdom teeth but it finally erupted well and it’s perfectly aligned. Don’t listen to internet advices without asking those who had gone through the situation
Just got all 4 removed a couple days ago. The fear of doing it hurt the worst. My bite already feels better👏🏾
Am I the only person that can FEEL their wisdom teeth?

I can feel both side oh I mean the other one is already out and is disturbing me for constantly aching. I wanna get them out but I dont want for some reason 🤔🤔🤧
Im SCARED
I removed my wisdom tooth today! While removing there was no pain due to anesthesia! But after sometime when anesthesia effect got over, it started paining! But I took painkiller and now it's better.
How many days was the pain? And doesn't it hurt more than a bad cavity or just the same??
64 yrs old. Never had them removed, but never had any issues either. Plus, no cavities my whole life as well.
My removal went well and am currently healing up. Feel a little sore but its manageable.
I'm worried about this 😅😅

My little 15 year old sister just got hers taken out about 4ish days ago.
I haven’t had the “pleasure” to get mine out yet and I’ve been completely obsessing over wisdom teeth after my sister’s teeth got removed.
I’m not 100% sure, but I looked around my mouth just to be wary about it and I think I felt one wisdom tooth at the very back of my mouth on the left side.
Pray for me. ;-;
ΛutistiЄ i will be praying for you lol 🙏 pray for me to 😂
Wish me luck everyone, I’m getting ready for my wisdom tooth extraction in 2 days ❤
Lol I was in kindergarten when my sister got here’s removed it was one of the best days of kindergarten bc my mom brought food for lunch. When I came home, my dad brought KFC and my sister was saying KFC over and over again. Just wanted to tell you that story.
._.
How old were you at that time?
You can remove my wisdom teeth...
Just go to my house..

Hang in there. The pain will slowly go away. Just make sure you don't drink through a straw or smoke. Dry socket is no joke. It's way more painful, also
endure more for 2 days, after that it will just be a little bit pain left
My wisdom teeth are coming out and they don’t hurt...
an.g they will hurt eventually when the dentist pulls them
That's good
I got all 4 pulled never took a pain medicine I just have jaw discomfort

I normally feel pain in the area but I assume that it is a tooth ache. Thanks for the information.
I had both of my upper jaw wisdom teeth removed. Surely it is an inconvenience for a few days after they are removed, but you don't have to worry about them ever again.

Brianna McD no its cause my wisdoms werent impacted or infected. And i never said i got them out all at once. One by one they got pulled out
did the surgery hurt?
The pain is annoying but yet you feel like putting something there for me I put thread it is painful but so satisfying
Very good video! I'm in the dental field and I must say very well said. It sucks because right now one of my wisdom tooth is killing me!!
My body was wise enough not to develop wisdom teeth.
The pun!😂
You may have them.
They just haven't erupted yet.
They are yet to come.
Cam Smity why no numbing when older?
If I didn't stub my toe as much, I'd gladly get rid of a toe. Just saying. But i do agree with your comment =)
Novafrost of LightningClan sameeeee
Watching this while recovering from an emergency wisdom teeth operation. My back wisdome tooth got very infected and ended up in the ER. Got all 4 of them pulled out. Im resistant to numbing, anesthesis, and pain medication, the dentist had to numb me with the needle so many times that he was afraid he would overdose me. I still felt most of it. 😭. But it was worth it! Still in a lot of pain but on day 3 of recovery.
how are you now?
was is just getting so bad you went into the ER? mine hurt like once or twice a year for 2 days then goes away, but this time it seems rough, hard to open my mouth and the gum is inflamed like crazy, dont have a dentist at the moment
all 4 of mine grew correctly so i just kept them there for as long as they lasted. at 28 one of them broke so i had to remove it. another broke at 32 and i removed that too and now at 35 i had to remove the 3rd because it had a cavity that would eventually cause it to break like the others. i still have one but i guess in a few years it will go bad too and i will have to remove it. fortunately, because they grew right, all the doc had to do is a little pull with a simple shot of local anesthesia... 30s and it was done.
my brother on the other hand had all 4 grow sideways so he had to remove them early through surgery. he suffered for weeks
Was chewing more easy after you grew your wisdom teeth(yea ik this is 3 years ago)

AM M'Mullan wow
AM M'Mullan so wait if you have your wisdom teeth underneath your gums you can still have them?
Lisa Knott
Yes, the issue is if they are inflaming your gums, misaligning your jaw and/or pressuring your teeth to cause pain/discomfort/teeth misalignment or other issues which may or may not be of health or cosmetic concern.
You should consult a doctor who will do a very quick and painless X-ray to determine whether it would be useful to take them out. If they are coming in correctly then taking them out makes no sense. If they're coming in wrong then just take them out.
yup. As long as they aren't causing any issues, there's no use in removing them! :) I have to remove mine because they're horizontal and causing pressure against my other teeth, sadly :(
In my family no one ever removed their wisdom teeth and I won't either
